I am talking about the Pandemic rules--- They are beginning to be relaxed somewhat. I think, however, that I swill always wear a mask. Looking back over the last couple of years, I never had a "cold"---nor did I get the flu--altho I did have a flu shot. It must've had something to do with the mask, plus all the hand washing--- And, you know, I used to see people in China--and countries around there, wearing masks and wondering why that was necessary-- Now I know--
So , yesterday, We had a ton of snow fall. I shovelled and shovelled, till the "cows came home"---Mom's expression of course! --- Himself snow blew some of the trails for the German and the Chihuahua to run on-- We must have 10 feet of snow on our front lawn.
Himself is vacuuming as I type-- Sadie , the cleaning lady, does not (who is really me!)-have the day off, but she welcomes all the help she can get! ----And I must remind yu that Son#1, the restaurant owner, is moving down our road this week I think!--- It will be SO nice to have a family member close by!All seems to be good "on the western front "----here, to-day-- but--it can change any minute-- I really do know that--- Maybe we should live by the moment --LOL-------Life goes on----and on, no matter what----Lord love a Duck! And --we are a part of it----Stay strong!
Yes, I’ll gladly keep up the mask wearing to remain in good health.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! 10 feet of snow! Sheesh!
Wow! Himself helped you snow blow and vacuum! All good!
Nice that son #1 will be close to you. Awesome news.
Yes, one day it will be spring! Can’t wait!
Hugs and hope it remains a good day!

Hi Barb--- Lotza good news to-day--plus we have sun!--Lynda
DeleteI dont think himself should be vacuuming at his age and with his health deteriorating. and snowblowing? NO WAY! a broken hip added to your equation would be devastating.
ReplyDeleteGlenda
Oh Glenda--- He is a pretty good vacuum person!--Hopefully he doesn't fall --He only dopes a couple of vrooms-- Nice to hear from yu Glenda--Lynda
DeleteI have also noticed that I am also warmer in the winter with my mask on.
ReplyDeleteI just came in from snow blowing and shoveling . . .it is my responsibility until Al is better . . . he had back surgery last week.
Wishing for winter to be over too.
So --I'm not the only one outside shovelling?--- I never noticed--Maybe the mask does help keep us warmer--Lynda
DeleteI'm with you... wearing the mask may not have saved me from every illness (sinuses still stuffed up with weather fronts) but it helps with so many things that float in the air. Now we know! And I agree with A1D2, it keeps the face warm when the weather outside is cold (I've worn a running mask for years, when training in the cold).
ReplyDeleteI think it's good for Himself to have "chores", it does help with mental acuity when there is physical activity paired with a task!
Sweet pic of You and Himself. Good news that family will be living nearby. One of my Mom's sayings was that she needed to keep moving so she wouldn't rust. Keep on keeping one.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the tender picture of the two of you! Thanks. That snow is losing its joy amongst us. Of course, in the summer, when humidity is 95%, I’ll wish for this cold. Yes, masks do cut down on colds, which are no joy, either, especially if a person is prone to pneumonia! They waste so much time of your life. Take care.
ReplyDeleteDelighted to hear that Fred used snow blower and is vacuuming. Great.
ReplyDeleteYou shoveled a mountain yesterday.
Happy son #1 will be down the road. Perfect.
I'll gladly wear a mask..keeps me warm and sure cuts down on colds.
Darling picture of the two of you.
Hugs
Every day now my response goes missing and I have to redo. Don't know why but it's frustrating. Glad son#1 is moving close by. Nice to have if you need some help. Like the picture of you and Fred. Sure hope all this snow stops soon. Enough is enough!
ReplyDeletewhy is it going missing?--- If it becomes a problem, just post a response on my facebook page----- I am just happy that yu persevere and get it on here--Hugs-Lynda
DeleteWe are so lucky that last snoe storm missed us!it's warmer, too...
ReplyDelete45F.
Glad Himself is feeling good enough To help Sadie and with the shoveling.
Luck for you to have a child close by soon. My closesr is 45 minutes away.
Spring will come soon!
Oh, I like the picture of you and your husband! And yay that he's helping with the vacuum and snowblowing today ... you can use the help and it probably helps him to feel more useful, more himself.
ReplyDeleteYay for Son #1 moving close down the road; he'll be close in case you need a hand with something, and maybe you'll see some grands more frequently. :D
That's such a beautiful photo of both of you. Have a good night.
ReplyDeleteYes, living in the moment is the best way to go when being a caregiver. Mom has been my learning moments as her memory is pretty shot but she still is in her home and happy to do her day to day things and is pretty good at it (like your hubby with the vaccuming and snow blowing). It makes her happy and she doesn't have to have the risks of being in a home at this time. If hubby goes down the same path I will have learned how to handle it better so it is all good. Moment by moment, day by day each day taken as it is and letting go of the what ifs.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of you and himself...hope things are peaceful there...
ReplyDeleteif he helped you vacumn then Sadie didn't have that to do anyway...
I did today. sigh
