and----#3 Son, The OPP officer, who is in Ottawa, trying to support the Ottawa Police , to get the truckers to move away, --well, I worry about him too! I wonder if all these truckers even think, that for every Police officer who is there, there is a family waiting to see them come home, and a Mother worrying about a son or daughter-- You see, Son #3 is on the night shift--when all the crazy people are even acting crazier-
and--then there is Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot, over in England, on the simulator there ---Hopefully he doesn't pick up Covid--
I must be a warrior --not a worrier! ---Positive thoughts-----And to change the topic, yesterday I went to Dollarama--What fun!--- I bought the most beautiful Barbie Doll-- huge---and so pretty--for $4.00--There were spring flowers-- (not real)- fake diamonds-- glittery-- and, so many funny hats-- It was so much fun-! -Everything was cheap---and cute!-- I think on a day when one needs to veg--be positive--not worry-- it is a great place to just have fun!Think thin----Enjoy the day-- and be happy that we are not in Ottawa with the truckers-- Hugs--- until to-morrow----
Our 50 degree weather yesterday morning turned to 8 this morning . . .the fluctuations this winter have been so unusual. A couple of days of cold then we can warm up a bit again. Glad you had a nice time shopping. I haven't enjoyed being in a store since covid. Never know about the people near me . . .are they sick . . . have they been vaccinated? I shop from my computer mostly and dream of someday.
ReplyDeleteGlad you could have some fun in a store, the way it used to be. Sorry your son has to be babysitting the coward truckers. Careful out there, surely this winter needs to quit!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI think you are a worrier warrior. Just need to work on lowering the worry thing. Sorry for the truckers. There's always something. In spite of it all, have a beautiful Saturday.
ReplyDeleteYOU are definitely a warrior EVERY day....❤️ and hugs! Eissa7
ReplyDeleteWe'll be warriors! Prayers for officer son. Hoping he'll be home safely and soon
ReplyDeleteDollar store sounds like fun. Glad you treated yourself and grands. Big Barbie.
Your snow has GOT to stop. Sure hoping your plow guy shows up.
Stay warm and well.
Think thin and Spring....its coming.
Hugs and blessings
We are in the middle of a major storm right now. The snow is so wild out there I cannot see the street. Happy I don't have to go out. I enjoy going to Dollar Store too. So much fun stuff. I always buy something I don't need or something for the little ones. Stay safe Lynda,
ReplyDeleteSeeing the pictures of what's happening today in Ottawa, it's scary. By tonight maybe a lot more will have left. Police seem to be well organized and have lots of resources so son #3 should be ok. And son #2 should be fine in the UK. So stop worrying - it won't do any good. Glad you had fun shopping - we need those days for our sanity right now! We've had lots of snow last few days but still not as much as you. Hope snowplow guy shows up. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see what's going on in Ottawa it makes me want to cry. I was born and raised in that city. I moved away when I got married. It seems to me those people have made their point. They can pack up and go home and leave those people in peace now. Prayers for the safety of your son. Huge hugs!
ReplyDeleteHOPE that your drive gets plowed.
ReplyDeleteI DO NOT BLAME you for worrying about son #3. That’s a tough situation. People just are not thinking clearly and make rash decisions. That generally doesn’t work out too well. Prayers for his safety as they get the trucker situation straightened out.
Prayers for Son #2’s safety, as well. They had rough weather yesterday w/storm Eunice.
Glad you had a good time @ the Dollarama! Sounds like you got some treasures!
Here’s to a safe and blessed Saturday and Sunday! Prayers for both sons.
Hugs

Sorry about the snow. Yesterday we had so much wind. My husband was driving me to the Spine clinic for an injection and the darn wind almost took the car right off the road. We hadn't gotten much snow but what we got was blowing like a blizzard all night. Even Daisy was uneasy! I hope all your children will be safe and return home soon.
ReplyDeleteThe Serenity Prayer helps me put most worry in its place. The link below leaves the abbreviated version that is usually quoted along with the full version and the original full version.

DeleteToday was my cousin's visitation and memorial service; he died suddenly last Saturday. He was 83 and had to have his leg amputated due to circulation problems, they think maybe an anyerism (sp?). He was there, maybe an hour, in his basement "man cave," and his wife shouted down to him, no answer, and when she went down, he was more or less gone, that quickly. It's been a rough week. We weren't close, as I only saw him typically 2 or 3 times a year at holidays, but it's still been very upsetting. Glad that you had a better day. My wonderful bf drove here from Columbus to be with me, and stayed by my side the whole time. But, I'm tired.
ReplyDeleteUpdate: he had the amputation a year ago; he's had to have some stents put in his other leg, but he's not let any of that get to him, he's worked hard, he had bounced back, and his heart got a good report just a few days before he went. It's his wife I'm grieving for most.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your driveway gets plowed from all that snow.
ReplyDeleteYou're always going to worry about them and that is okay. You're their mom, it'll never stop.
Hope your snowplow dude shows up. I see I am behind a couple days
ReplyDeleteon blogs...don't know how I missed....oh yes, my daughter was here
and they left to go home yesterday and so I got to take a nap.
