Some People are muchly much-much more unlucky than you!

Yes! To-morrow is Valentines Day! It is not a big deal here, but--I do try to give a rose or 2 to my Son's wives-- and my daughter--  It's a good day to remind them that I love them! ---

Once again, it is cold!--  like--minus 36C --- and little Lopez , the resident Chihuahua, did go out with me, in his new coat ($60 by the way!)-- and he did ALL his business outside! Bless his heart!--I do believe that this is our last cold day--FOR NOW!-- Spring will be so welcome!

Yesterday I forgot to blog--till wayyyyyyy on in the day---  I must be losing my mind!-- I have never done that before--and yet, so many of you did reply and I appreciated that so much.  I must admit that I over bought , when it came to the bananas---  just in case the truckers carry on and block our produce.-- Life is so weird right now---  the truckers---  the "maybe" war in the Ukraine---the Covid--and there seems to be nothing we can do about any of it!

Dr Seuss sums it up quite well I think! --  Lord love a Duck! WE can only control our own little corner of this world!

  1. Good morning!
So glad that little Lopez did his duty this morning . I’m sure that he was just cold yesterday. I definitely would not want to do my business in that cold! He probably didn’t do his business on the pad because he was in a hurry! Remember, he isn’t even 1 yet!
Stay warm, play the piano, and think happy thought!!! Happy Valentine’s Day!

  2. Yes, this world is down in the dumps often. All we can do is try our best to not slide down into it. We can’t control all the slobs ruining it. Glad you got plenty of bananas, and I hope they last a long time.

  3. You are so right, we are really lucky compared to some people. We may have problems but I always think that there are others with much larger problems to deal with. I think little Lopez is trying and will get it soon. He has spent most of his time in the house and still thinks that is his space. Have a great day.

  5. That is so nice that you buy roses for the other ladies in the family. I guess Lopez gave you one by doing his business putside

That's so nice that you buy a rose for the other ladies in the family. Lopez gave you his idea of a present by doing his business outside! It's gonna to be real cold here until tomorrow but you're still much colder. If you overbought on bananas you better make some banana bread later! Good luck to son #3 on his trip to Ottawa - sounds like they are still waiting for more resources there before doing anything!

  6. Good morning. Yay on López. A streak of once getting it right. I don't know about him. He'd certainly push my patience..
How sweet of you to give the girls roses. Very kind. Like you, VDay is no biggie here.
Hoping the trucker mess gets sorted out soon. Safe travels for your son.
Dr. Seuss has it right. Counting my blessings.
    Stay warm, safe and well.
Play your piano....all your residents love it when you do.

  7. Happy Valentine's Day, and may you (and little Lopez) and Himself have a warm and loving one! The "kids" left me a valentine on the front door this morning, in time for breakfast! A croissant... yummy, buttery, flakey, and since I don't eat them every day... not as bad for me as it might be.

We sure are a grouchy bunch of world residents of late, if you believe the news, eh? But I for one, will cozy up and be grateful... because I can "make do" with what I have.
