Perhaps its the covid making me feel this way!

Remember the above?---  We learned a version of this, in Public School--almost the same, but  a bit easier--different-----The "excepting February" was different-----I tried to  tell himself  about the length of days in each month, yesterday, but for the life of me, I could not remember the version I had learned as a kid! ---- and in the above picture, they are trying  to show it on your hands--  I don't remember that! --If any of you have any ideas please let me know!

So, to-day is hair day--

I hope that Himself can handle Lopez when I go----He is doing better----but----  his life is still a bit of a problem---He really needs supervision to get thru the day---

-And speaking of unwell people, my oldest brother had a stroke about a week ago--His son found him unconscious in his home--His wife has passed about a year ago-- These old guys eh?-----  Lord love a Duck! They  need a woman  in their lives to take care of them as they age-------It seems that young girls to-day dream of marriage---The last thing on their mind is all the work involved   for women--- but--- I was the same in my younger years-- Would I have listened to anyone telling me, "a woman's work is never done"----?--Probably not!

    Sorry about your brother.

When Dad was left at home he would get extra anxious and one of his behaviors was to go through the house and reset all the clocks (not anywhere near the number you have!). That was less harmful than when he moved items from the refrigerator to a closet.

Life is hard, some times harder than other times. Hang in there.

Our furchild KC the Sunshine Dog had to have his beautiful, plumed tail amputated last week due to a tail tumor that we have been following and treating since last June. It has been a crazy time. Supposed to get biopsy results by tomorrow. Hoping the result is my favorite Bingo call -- B9.

And for sure, no woman realizes what she's in store for when she says "I DO". OY

  3. Sorry to here about your brother . . . is this the one that lives in NH? I have spent the last couple of days playing nurse to my DH who had back surgery. . . I am worn out. . .I was 100% to start with since having knee surgery myself last week. I think we are both finally on the long road to recovery. Good luck with Himself nd Lopez while you get a haircut

  5. I’m so sorry about your brother having a stroke, my goodness! I hope Himself is ok while you are gone from home. Does your town have a respite care group, so someone comes to stay while you are gone? Perhaps check it out. In case this gets worse. Take care.

  6. Sorry about your brother. Hope himself does ok while you were out and Lopez doesn't wear him out! Too bad Lopez and Beau don't together more. One of your readers made a good suggestion about a respite group and having someone to stay with himself when you are out - although he probably won't be happy about it. Good luck and take care.

  7. So sorry to hear of your brother's stroke. Praying he has a complete recovery.
Enjoy your hair apt. Hoping Fred can handle Lopez while you are gone.
Not sure anyone would be in a hurry to get married if they knew what COULD be part of their routine way down the road.
    Be safe and well
    hugs

  8. Adding my wishes for a smooth trip "out" to take care of the hair. I seem to remember the school days rhyme having something about "excepting February, which quite contrary, has 28, and sometimes 29"

I do remember it had "contrary" in it as it was an interesting word to my young mind!

  9. Hope you got your hair done. Is there someplace in town where Himself
could stay and visit while you are shopping for bananas and getting hair
done??? Like a day care for adults?

  10. I always think about that little saying about the months BUT I can't say I remember doing anything on my hands. That's how I still remember how many days have gone by in any given month! I hope this year isn't a leap year - I don't think I could bear one more day of February! I'm glad himself is feeling better but you are right, "a women's work is never done". I am still recovering from knee surgery (3 weeks tomorrow). My husband has been wonderful but now that I'm feeling better I'm participating more - which I guess means I'm taking things back. I guess that's okay - makes me feel needed!!!
