A very short blog!

Isn't that just so true?--- a vacation is like an escape--from reality-- a great escape--- but---perhaps I could escape for a wee vacation here at home--like set time aside to walk--It doesn't have to be far--even a 10 minute walk-- and, you know, I hear more birds around here now-- It's as if they know that Spring is coming! they are slowly returning--

I must get to No Frills --The bananas are needing to be replaced--

Have a great day-- do something for yourself--  Call someone and ask how they are-- maybe dance a bit--

Hugs, Lord love a Duck--  I do love yu all- Lynda

  1. I totally agree with the quote. So much that it's actually difficult for me to go on vacations. Have a beautiful Friday and hope the bananas are in perfect shape and flavor.

  3. Great quote! I hope that spring is on the way soon. Have a great day and spend some time reminiscing with Himself of vacations that you both really enjoyed.

  4. Enjoy your day, get plenty of those bananas so you don’t need to shop during a weekend and family festivities in Canada.

  5. Happy banana shopping. I had grocery adventures today... about half my order did not make it to the trunk of my car, and I got home to cultured buttermilk instead of what I ordered. Fortunately, a simple phone call to the online shopping people got it fixed, and they delivered the missing items to my door about an hour later.

I'm feeling especially grateful because of the sunshine, the people who have struggled on through this whole pandemic, and still smile at me! Sending extra smiles your way!

  6. Yes take some little vacations every day in the form of a few 10 minute walks with Beau or Lopez. Just getting out will give you some peace of mind. And get your bananas and whatever else you need today because of the long weekend. Enjoy your day.

  7. Lynda, you do so much all the time, you need to work in some 'just for me' time each day. Just sit, relax, read, nap, whatever it takes to have an at home vacation.

I really wish you had help at home, etc. You might soon have to think of downsizing, moving to a much smaller place.

Hugs & love to you, Fred and the furry little ones. xoxo

  11. Hope you got your Banana's. Have a great day....they cancelled his
surgery because some nitwit thought he has a Bronchial Infection. His
surgeon was not real happy because this female dr. who called us twice, at 12 midnight and 4 AM, said she had discussed this with him
and she did not....he called David personally to find out why he did
    not show....so will be rescheduled.

  13. Ready for some more consistent weather that Spring may provide. Yesterday it was 80F in Central Texas and this morning 29F. These weather fronts playing havoc with my arthritis-ridden body.

  14. You do really love your bananas don't you? Yes, there are good and bad days in this journey as caregiver. Some bad days with mom I handle pretty good and then there are others that I just get so upset too which helps nothing because the next day she has forgotten. I treasure the good days and let go of the bad ones after learning what to do better next time.
