Wow! Talk about losing one's mind! I just did a comment on a blog I thought was today's...now I see another one!
ReplyDeleteHere's the comment I did: So sorry your son is sick. Flu? It's a good thing you have more than one son!
Did you reschedule with the grief counselor?
I have new heavyweight sweatpants coming today from Amazon. Got some fleece lined leggings a couple days ago. Today I will go to our charity store (Good Will) to see if I can get some sweatshirts. I seem to be cold a lot this time of year. It will be better when they turn the boilers on.
When I go see my PCP on the 15th, I will ask her to check my thyroid.
It's cloudy here, 56F but will be 70F by mid-afternoon.
I will check to see if the laundry room is available soon. Other than that, just chillin' here today. Hope you get a chance to do that, too. Enjoy today, Lynda. I'll be back later. {{{HUGS}}} Love,
Maggie
Now new info to comment on. Glad your cleaning ladies came.
Not much more to add. Maybe your cleaning ladies could come here?
Back later!

DeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteI hope today is a little less busy for you. You had a lot going on yesterday.
Hope you were able to reschedule with the grief counselor. I am sure they will be of help.
Have a happy Wednesday!
Jackie
It's really hard to "not forget things" when our schedules get all jumbled up like that! Glad to see you recovered from it today!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're able to reschedule with the grief counselor, that is so important now that you're back home and trying to find the balance in your new life. And the double scheduling? I know you were a Flylady person, so here's a reminder: Check your calendar at the beginning of each week and every day! With a new year coming up, make sure you have a calendar with spaces big enough to write on and to read what you've written. You can do this!
ReplyDeleteIt's Kathy, again. Don't worry about it Lynda. We all forget things from time to time. It's called "having too much to think about in a new place". I'm sure as the time moves along you will develop a routine that works for you so you won't have to think about things all the time. They will come naturally like they did before. You have had an enormous amount of change in your life in the past year - selling your long time home, moving to an unfamiliar place, losing your dear himself, moving out of the new place and back into a familiar town, and getting things set up and organized. Honestly, it makes MY head spin! I have an electronic "To Do" list and I MUST look at it every single day - and hopefully I've put the important things on it! But it includes things like Check my Email, Make Dinner, Water my plants AND Call my child on his/her birthday! If I didn't have these things written down I'd probably forget too! I think you're amazing and don't you ever forget that! Have a quieter day today. Oh, and yes, how nice of Son #3 to invite you for dinner! It's good to be with family.
ReplyDeleteHey Lynda. It's no biggie, that you didn't blog, only...I worry about you when there's no blog. LOL.
ReplyDeleteDO remember to reschedule with the grief counselor, or...well, I dunno, but I'll be worried if you don't. :)
Did I tell you almost my whole office had COVID? Make sure to get a booster soon! ;) I was out Fri and Monday. I still test positive, so have to wear a mask.
I am grieving along with you now, and kinda I get it now. I broke up with my boyfriend, you see, for like the umpteenth time, it feels like, but this is IT. Of 8 years. I ended up not really knowing who he really was. I DO know he was a child masquerading as a 57 yr old man. I do keep going over it and going over it. Was I right? Yada yada. He doesn't work, he got in a big fight with his parents, who foot all his bills, and wants to move away to Texas. Fine, GO! In any case, I threw all the rest of his S H I T that he stored here away, and cleaned my hands of him. Have I cried? NOOOO I refuse to do that. I've cried so much over the years over that man, it's pointless to cry. I suppose I can cry some other day if I have to, but not right now.
I'm glad you got your place cleaned! How many square feet do you have? I have 1000 square feet. No cleaning lady yet, but I have my iRobot Roomba to clean my laminated floors. Every other day she does them. Seems like enough. I mop them some months. I dust when I cannot stand it anymore and/or someone is going to come visit, which, now, will be never.
Marti
Hi Lynda! It’s totally ok about yesterday! I would have been mixed up too when the cleaning ladies came early and everything got messed up. Sorry you had to cancel your grief appointment. How nice you went to visit your son. I sure hope today was better. Sending hugs and ice cream from Ohio!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, Glad to know you're fine. When you don't post I get concerned about you.
ReplyDeleteGlad you and Lopez went to sons house.
Hoping you'll be able to reschedule grief counselor or find a grief support group.
Take care of you.
