Dreaming of the Queen recognizing--"ME"

I seem to have cows on the brain ---  maybe because they appear to be such a docile animal-

The first weekend of Fall, is coming up--We have a misty rain falling to-day---  I "hoofed" it to the highway and back already--in the rain!- And this morning I hope to make applesauce  and maybe chocolate chip cookies--It seems like "that" kind of day--

Yesterday I never got to exercise and by bedtime, my legs just felt like they wanted to keep going.  Do any of you get that problem if you don't exercise? I call it the "Shaky Leg Syndrome"----  I can getaway without exercise for maybe , one day--- then that  "shaky leg" thing  kicks in--- And it doesn't take much exercise  to squelch that syndrome---10 minutes on the Dreadmill will do it too! ---

Since we are not on Spark---- like--no-one to monitor me----  I find I am  eating healthy one day and the next day, everything but the kitchen sink goes into my mouth.
My weight is now 193 (from 217)---so----Lord love a Duck!----  I need to get a streamlined body  --like---before I die----(Well, ya never know eh?)------  and if I could just see the "180's"----for now----it would make my day!
AND then, maybe the Queen would  hear about it, and send for me---
WE CAN DO IT YOU KNOW!------  and if I have to wait a long time , before I hear from her, (the Queen!)-well, the exercise will keep me healthy--

YOU KNOW--MAYBE I WON"T MAKE THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES !

  1. It is sunny today but still a little chilly.

I really miss spark, the post that was posted and the people that were my friends (like you).

    Have a great Friday

  2. Lynda, this is definitely baking weather. Can you trust yourself enough to bake those cookies but freeze most of them the moment they are cool enough? Because one ortwo of them would be fantastic in the evenings and won't do any damage if you've eaten properly all day. I like the picture of the road you put on this morning, is that the one you 'hoofed' up today? I'd be watching in those trees for bears . . . because I'm so darn afraid of them but I know you're being careful. Enjoy a nice Autumn day with Fred. Hugs!

  3. Funny you should be thinking about chocolate chip cookies . . .I have had the same thought and then I said no I really don't need them if I want to loose weight but I would like to make them. The devil is on one shoulder and the angel on the other. Rainy days expected the next couple of days.

  4. I have to chuckle....just read my e-mail & saw a message "cows in the road"....not my road but the 1 I take for my massage & no worry, no appt today. Many moons ago, I heard that message often (or saw it) when we lived out in the country next to a small dairy farmer. His fencing was not strong or those "gals" liked to get out. Guess they never learned grass isn't better on the other side....

  5. We had a cow when I was young but I was afraid of it. It had horns and big eyes. I would still be afraid to go near them. I prefer kitties. LOL

  6. Chocolate chip cookies sound delicious Lynda! Make the applesauce instead though so you won’t be tempted. I have to buy PC chocolate chunk cookies for my husband and end up eating one per evening. If they were home made instead I wouldn’t be able to stop at only 1. Have a good day. 👍

  11. I think the Queen should pay you a visit, cause you've been such a loyal subject for so long. I think she owes it to you. LOL!

  12. Cloudy and on and off rain here, too. Make the cookies if you believe you can stop eating more than just a couple a day! Himself would like them as well as any kids that stop by.

    I used to have what is called here "restless legs syndrome." Now it rarely bothers me. Maybe it's cause of the exercise as you suggested it is for you. Hmm...maybe I'd better turn up the music and get on my elliptical exercise bike! ;-) {{{HUGS}}}

  13. Good for you hoofing it in the rain! Sometimes I get restless leg syndrome, too, and exercise really does help!

  14. Yep, I gotta exercise to keep the twitchy legs still. Make your cookies smaller than you used to and limit yourself to one or two a day. Have a good day.

  15. You remind me, that I haven’t made a chocolate chip cookie in 17 years. Wonder if I did now, if they would not come out well? I notice, with age, my cooking and baking suffer. Are your grandkids coming? They would surely enjoy some of those. But if you bake, you have to taste, to make sure you put the right ingredients in them.
I hope your twitchy legs feel better. We use the exercise bike, located in the tv room, so we can watch for hours and ride.
How is Beau doing, eating well?

  17. My Mom had a pet cow when Mom was around 11 (1929). Daisy wore a straw hat adorned by artificial flowers and with cutouts for her ears. On wash day which was done in a cast-iron kettle using a washboard to scrub the clothes, Daisy would help herself to the sudsy water amazing Mom and Grandma that she didn't seem to suffer any ill effects from the lye soap used. A treasured and rare photo of Mom that includes Daisy is one of my favorites.

  18. I do get the restless legs if I don't move around enough, but I do think it's my knees. They start aching so I try to get up and do something every hour or so. I look at it this way, it's my body's way to keep me moving and for that I am thankful.
    Have a good evening.

  19. When hubby and I go for a walk and come to a field of of cows they all come over to hubby to lick his shoulder and butt him to say hello. Don't know what it is but all animals seem to love him. If you bake the cookies, put them in bundles of 6 tops and freeze them. Might slow the consumtion. Hugs

  27. Keep up the good work Lynda.3 We all have those days where we want to eat everything in sight. If you just remember to keep your Carbs, Fats and protein within the limits set for you it works. I had to go to Cronometer to track my nutrition because the people's one health did not offer enough information. Good Luck
