We are all alive!--Amazing!

I was buying bananas----and grapes--and apples --plus stopped at the nursery and paid the owner to deliver 2 bales of straw for out by the road, ready for Halloween-then --circled back for gas which is $1.42 a gal --terrible! --The groceries too were costly for 2 of us--- $243.00------one needs a lot of money these days-- ----- When I got home, big Beau was sitting by his cookie cupboard ready for his freeze dried beef things--Funny how he knows that every noon hour he gets one--

I sure do love this boy! ----So-----  no lunch for me yet--because I had to carry in all the groceries---then clean out the frig----- Lord love a Duck! A woman's work is never done! --But, I must say-Himself vacuumed ----- so good eh!

I must tell you too that my cousin called me last night-He lives in Port Perry--Isn't it nice to chat with "family"---?- He sounds great and we  talked   about family members who are not doing well-- and we laughed a lot about visiting  Grampa's house, when we were kids and how we would slide down the banister in Grampa's hall-

Memories are so precious!

So---away I go for lunch-- Hope you all are doing well-- You know what? We are all alive!!

  1. A busy morning for you again Lynda! We may make a trip to Costco today if it’s not raining too hard. That will be an expensive trip for sure. I get most of our vitamins etc there and we haven’t been for months so I have a long list. Beau is looking good and pretty soon he will have a new friend to play with. Have a good day! 👍

  2. I agree that the prices have increased and you don't get a lot for your money. I enjoy skyping with my sister twice a week. She lives in the states so I haven't seen her for two years but at least we see each other on skype. Enjoy your day!

  4. Beau is looking great….and these dogs are smart! Glad you got all that shopping done. It seems to take longer to put everything away these days. We are still getting home delivery, stores too dangerous to be ambling around inside, in Texas.

  5. Groceries are expensive for sure. I picked mine up curbside yesterday and they cost $255.00 for the two of us as well so it would seem the prices are about the same. I can't imagine if I had to feed a family. It has been pouring rain here all day so I decided it was a good day to stay inside and bake. Made a pumpkin pie for supper. Yummy

  6. Our Bear know where we keep his treats and is always trying to get us to go to them and give him one...also he knows when I usually feed him and he comes to me and looks at me to tell me it is time for me to feed him. What would we do if we didn't have our fur babies.

    Have a great Wednesday

  9. Yes dogs are very smart. A lot smarter than we realize.Beau is such a beautiful dog.

Yes the prices of food is going up and up and up. I don't know how a family is able to feed themselves. Actually the price of everything is going up.

Yesterday when I was going to get gas I realized I needed to wait until I get my SS check next month. The gas was $3.49 a gal who knows how much it will be by next month.

Lynda I hope you got your lunch and will have time to relax for a little bit this afternoon. You had a very busy morning.

  11. Beau is looking good! My girl knows where her stuff is and is not shy about telling me it is her time for food or treats! Food sure is expensive. Even our local stuff since our season just ended was just as or more than some imported. Unbelievable. Nice to have family to talk to when you can.

  12. You are so right groceries are so expensive and the prices seem to be climbing higher and higher. You pay way less than us for gas as we are at $2.39 per gallon. Yours is the imperial gallon so you get more than we do.

Seems this is our new "normal".

  14. $3.86 a gallon here in Idaho! It is definitely a scary time.
I try so hard to stay on my grocery list. No unnecessary items. Make a weekly menu and buy only what is needed. It does take a while, but it helps with calories and money. Glad that our garden is producing vegetables. If only I would like them more! I’m trying.
My two dogs have a time clock as well. They always know when it is 5 for dinner and will also tell me when it is time for bed! Who needs an alarm? Ha ha
Can’t wait to see pictures of your new pup!

  15. $4.49/gallon in California! Maybe it’s time to try a new place to live! Hard to leave a p,ace you e lived for over 60 years, but California is just way too expensive now. My son just bought a typical 4 bedroom 2300 sp ft tract home on a small lot for $1.2M. CRAZY!

  17. Lynda, our gas is $3.50 a gal here in AL. Groceries are high too! I try to grocery shop once a week since COVID has been so bad instead of my every 2-3 day runs. But I end up wasting some of the produce and I don’t like that. I feel like it will stay this way for awhile 🙃

    Beau is a beautiful dog…I know y’all enjoy him!♥️
