This is son#4 , many years go, with his son, using our tractor to cut the grass on the lakeside of the house. This little boy is now taller than I am, and he uses our battery mower now to cut our front yard-- I pay him $20 a cut--- and he saves his money--He just bought a dirt bike--
The rain has finally stopped----and we even have sun--- I am still trying to put chairs etc., into the shed-- Getting ready for winter in the north is hard! --- The docks are in--tied up along the shore-- thanks to Son #4--- the hoses are put away, the flower boxes emptied--- and I suggested to Himself, that maybe he might think about getting the BBQ into the sunroom for the winter-- --It did not go over well at all-It is so much easier to pack all the summer stuff away before the cold wind and snow starts--
And in between, I am trying to move winter clothing upstairs into my closet and get the summer stuff away---well---- I must tell you, that I took over Himself's closet--sorta--- He is not aware of this yet-- but---- he hardly has as many outfits as I do, and his closet usually is half empty--Lord love a Duck!---- I hope he doesn't notice--- right away------It is so much easier to use one closet on this level, than dragging all my clothes (which I never seem to wear_down 2 levels)-
I tried so hard to download the vaccine App. onto my phone ---- but----it did not work---- I will have to call Son #2, who knows everything about doing that!
And we go Sunday to pick up Lopez--or is it Pedro---or maybe WonTon-- pretty scarey--I have never looked after a tiny dog-- I hope I am doing the right thing! ----
Crazy ------ There are times I wish everyday had 75 hrs--- Do yu ever wish for that?--Mom used to say, "A Woman's work is never done!"---
I have noticed lately that 24 hrs doesn't seem to be quite enough time! Of course if I would have discipline (that ugly word again) I would be sticking to a time line. I Don't think that will ever happen but if it does it would be a good thing. Or if I made a todo list I would feel more accomplished!
ReplyDeleteI think Himself will probably not notice the closet takeover or maybe he will choose to ignore it. (if only, right?)

DeleteI read an article that said , once you make a decision , to do everything within your power to make it work . So love and care for this little dog , it's going to work out . I'm doing the same with our summer clothes , some going in containers , winter clothes brought back . And I got rid of tee shirts that just needed to go . I cut them up and put them in my rag barrel . It's an old butter barrel . I always no where there are rags . Take care .
ReplyDeleteI finally got the closet cleaned up in my bedroom. There was so much junk being stored in there on the 2 big shelves and the floor. Some went into junk, some to donation and about half is neatly put back. Next I need to attack the clothes. No I don't really wish for more hours in a day. I am quite worn out enough at the end of 24 hours.
ReplyDeleteSince I retired I find that the days go faster than when I was working. I have also cleaned out the closet because it is so easy to pile things on the floor out of sight. Enjoy your sunny day!
ReplyDeleteI guarantee you, once little Pedro or Nacho or WHATEVER his name ends up to be, licks your face, it's a done deal! Dogs know when they're loved. He'll know.
ReplyDeleteAnd you'll get used to caring for a downsized dog. LOL
HUGS
I had no idea there would be a difference taking care of a small or large dog. Other than you don't feed them as much. The size would be different also. You would want to give the small dog a smaller size and the bigger dog a larger size. Shows you I have never taken care of a small dog.
ReplyDeleteJust love the dog and you will be doing all you need to do. The dog is going to be so blessed that you are taking him home.
Can hardly wait for pictures.
Enjoy your sunny day we have rain
You always have a lot of projects. I doubt Fred will even notice he has less closet space. I'm hoping Fred decides to put the grill away sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry about little dog. Zoro,Charlie whatever his name ends up being. Do what you do...pour out love....and all will work out perfectly. Enjoy your day.
We are still holding on to fall but in MN. as well, one never know when that first snowfall will happen. We winter in TX. so when the yard work gets done and trees are bare, we will go. Last yr. we had a big snowfall before we got on the road. Hoping this is not happening this yr.
ReplyDeleteStopping by to say hi!
ReplyDeleteClosets are a tough one :)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't started on putting Mom's stuff away, we wait for the 1st of October as she would probably be like your himself over it. Telling her it needs to be done before Halloween in October always works.
ReplyDeleteyour new fur baby will be just fine as long asa you are there it will come to you and the name will be right no matter what you name it I am sure that himself will not mind he will be fine with the closet thing he just really will not care
ReplyDeleteConsolidation is very useful.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy the excitement of a puppy. I know I would.
We all feel sometimes that we do not have enough time. But I saw something online that said....we have as much time as Edison and Einstein! Food for thought.
ReplyDeleteLynda, you will love your wee pup. Just keep in mind, he may be a bit skittish and nervous at first. It will all be new to him, too. I just say this cuz I know it's been a long time since you had a new pup. {{{HUGS}}}
I think when my husband put up our shed many years ago he should have doubled it in size. There just is not enough room. Excited for you to pick up that little pup. I just hope you don't trip over him. Maybe Susie is right. A bell perhaps?
