Sunday and the seasons are changing!

Our docks are in--- Son #4 came out yesterday to do that--- That means summer is officially over--This morning, Himself and I have been reorganizing our shed--trying to cram everything but the kitchen sink into a shed which  we now wish had been built larger.----  Hoses, lawn furniture, containers for flowers--wheel barrels , shovels, lawn mowers, --- a sail boat--water boards---  The list goes on and on---wagons from when the kids were small, bicycles------and we haven't even cleared the back deck yet---

Next week we travel to Barrie, a 5 hr trip one way, to pick up  the wee Chihuahua-- We have come up with a few more names--Lopez---Amigo--WonTon-----Piedro-----I guess we will have  to see the little fella--see what he looks like-----  What do you all think? Son #3 is driving me there.

So, the seasons, they are a-changing---  In tis area, we don't usually get snow till the mid to end of November--and it doesn't stay on the ground until well into Christmas--

Lord love a Duck!-I have not walked to-day and I miss it-Hopefully I can get out there soon and hoof it to the highway and back.

  1. It’s a sad time when summer is over and it’s time to store the furniture etc away! We have been doing it gradually and we bought our mums yesterday as the hanging baskets are looking pathetic now. Have a good trip to get your new puppy. 👍

  3. It's definitely Fall in the southland. 52 degrees when I got up bright & early to hoof around inside the house. On went a sweatshirt. I like all the names. Know you'll find just the right one that fits the little guy.

  4. Cute names! Can't help think of the Taco Bell chihuahua "Yo quiero Taco Bell". You'll come up with the right name when you meed the little fellow.

Sad to see the seasons change. Don't mind from spring to summer, or even summer to autumn . . . but autumn to winter . . . no like!

  5. I miss walking when I can’t do it, too. My knee has been bothering me lately so I’ve been cutting down on the walking. I really miss it as it is such a stress reliever.

  6. My walk was mid day instead of morning today. Warm, but worth it! ❤️

  7. I have just been having a lazy day. It's my birthday and I told my family that I was not going to do anything.

    Have a great Sunday

  9. Sometimes wish we had four distinct seasons here in Central Texas instead of varying degrees of heat about 90% of the time.

  10. I can't wait to see your new addition and also how Beau reacts. I can't remember if you said it was a male or female maybe it will look like a Chico or Peppy. Have a good evening.

  11. Hate that the season has changed. There are a few nights this week supposed to go down to 7! Excited that you're getting the new pup soon and that your son is driving you. That's a long drive and will be longer coming back with a young pup who will need to stop. I know someone who called her chihuahua Chico and another who has a female calls her Mila. I think you need to wait until you see him.

  12. How about Cujo. I think it is so appropriate for a wee dog. Or if you really don't care for that try Yoda.

  13. Can't wait to see the new puppy! I know you will pick the perfect name once you see him, but have no suggestions to offer. I mean, after all, you came up with Sushi for the cat that came in from the cold, you'll have an inspiration for this one, too.

  16. I know what you mean about the stuff fitting in the shed. I often wonder if they got bigger through the summer. They were all fit nicely in the spring as we pulled them out, but they just don't go back as well.

  19. The docks are in! We all have our "summer is over" routines as we move to fall. Your shed story is funny....seems like we can fill whatever spot we have.

Good luck with the new pup!

  20. Lynda...You read my mind...I was wondering the other day WHEN you were bringing in the docks! Even in FL...after living here for over a decade....I can detect a slight coolness underlying the 90 degree heat. We have a lovely week ahead of very low humidity and little rain...perfect for walking which I ❤️, too!! Eissa7

  22. I have entered this comment twice already...it keeps disappearing!

No snow here in Minnesota yet, either. It is supposed to be in the low 80sF the next couple days. The breeze is chilly, though, not warm like a few weeks ago.

I hear you about cramming things into your shed. For me it's my two deep closets.

Today I washed all my winter hats and gloves. Getting ready like you are.

You will love your new puppy! Can't wait to see a photo!

  23. I had to laugh at how your shed shrunk. Sounds like there are a few extra things in the shed lol. Sure glad your son helped with docks. Sad when summer is gone and soon it will be cold, dark. Winter.
You'll come up with a good name once you meet your little puppy. Need something special for this name.
    Hugs

  24. That is going to be my main job today. Get those flower pots emptied and some of the decorations down and in storage. My husband said something about weeds so we will try to get some of that done also. The end of summer is a lot of work.
