Yes, You Can!

I need a night off--forget the dress---but--(that big "butt" again!)---a Prince might be good--- NO! Maybe it's better without "the Prince"!---  That would only be more work for me---It might be good to have a few days alone in a house---even a day--Hmmmmm-----  What would I ever do with a whole day, alone?-----Maybe-----I might read-----or, ---just loll around----- It has never happened---

Sunday, Son #3, the Policeman, and I, travel to Barrie, to pick up Lopez--He says we will leave --like--around 4am---Barrie is about a 5 hr trip from here--(People in the North, never talk in miles. We talk distances , in time!)

-I will take the cat cage and some baby blankets to wrap the wee fella in--I just hope Himself keeps track of Beau-- Yesterday, Himself came in from the deck, and no Beau, who was out there with him. When I asked Himself where big Beau was, he just said, "I have no idea!"- ---  I reminded him, that when he comes back into the house, bring Beau--- He went back , and returned from the deck, saying, "He's not there."

"Well, you better get outside and look for him, because, guaranteed, he is looking for you." --I heard myself  telling him.

And Beau was searching for him!   Beau was at the from door waiting to come in--Maybe a Grandchild should check on their Grandfather when I am away--

Did you know that you all have a "world" inside of you?----  And we keep the world going---  I am sure of it! Lord love a Duck eh?

Yesterday I cut grass----and this afternoon, I shall cut grass too--It is good exercise--lotza steps--

  1. Good morning, it looks like you may have decided on a name for the new puppy. Did Lopez win the name game? I hope your weather is comfortable to cut the grass this afternoon. Have a great day.

  3. I love having some me time, I don't get them very often.

Went to Farmers Market this morning and picked up a couple of tomatoes and onions and some potatoes.

    Have a great Tuesday

  4. I am lucky to get some me time once in awhile. We are only going to have to mow once more this season. The grass has definitely slowed down in the growing.

  6. Do not forget the leash and harness. And the new doggie better get chipped, so when he runs off, someone will know who he belongs to. And not one word of complaint about him to anyone…. Good luck.

  7. Today I planned to have a nice quiet day...but then the roofers showed up. So I shall spend the day listening to hundreds of pop.pop.pops and by this evening I should have a new roof on the house. Maybe tomorrow I will plan a nice quiet day.

  8. Perhaps a grandchild could hang out with your DH and ask questions about his life, recording the conversation. Result = Priceless.

I did this with my Mom (RIP 2002) and gifted each of my 4 siblings with a CD which is treasured by all 5 of us and her 4 grandchildren.

  13. Hoping a son or a grand can check on Fred and Beau. Funny story but not funny.
Hoping your weather is good for your long trip to pick up Lopez. It will be nice to have a lot of time alone with your son. Be safe. All the best to you, Fred, Beau, Sushi and Lopez. Wonder how Sushi will react to Lopez?

  14. I am so sorry that I have not been keeping up with your blogs. And I am so truly sorry to hear about Tess. Although I do believe you made the best choice for her. I had no idea how many days had gone by. I've been dealing with a lot of pain in my logs - my real knee is going to have to be replaced and apparently there is something going on with my back. I guess I've been pretty wrapped up in myself these days.

I'm going to add "Read Lynda's blog" to my daily "To Do" list! I hope you have a safe trip to pick up your new little puppy! How exciting.
