I just need to veg!

 Have you ever had one of those days----everything seems to go wrong---   and somehow yu are the one who has to sort it out?-- It all began with a call from Himself's family in Jamaica.   Apparently  he was left some land  from his Dad, but because he left there   to go to University in Ohio--- then decided to do his medical degree in Canada --plus Interned in Canada---He never thought that after his Dad died, that he would be left with land, --- from his Dad---

Years have passed-----  The Family Home was sold, and the Deeds for the lots went to family members living in the Family Home--- He never thought to ask about them, nor have we ever turned to Jamaica.

This morning, a family member called  trying to explain all this to both Himself and I--- And now they want copies of his signature-etc etc etc-- and  it seems that it all has fallen into my lap. Of course Himself wants no part of any of this now -- "Give the one remaining lot to  So and So", he told the person on the phone--but--what a rigamarole to even do that.

So, my morning  fell to pieces! Poor Tess had her walk about 2 hrs late and she figured it was not the right time to do her business---- Dogs do not like their routine-changed---

It has been a beautiful sunny day here with low humidity--

Hard to think that we are in September--Son #1 will return this week---this is Himself with Son #1-

To-morrow I hope my day will return to normal--- no more phone calls from Jamaica-- Lord love a Duck! I think I just need to veg!--

  1. Of course you need to veg! Clear your mind. Meditate. Zone out to your favorite music. Engage in a hobby activity. Just rest. I hear you, gf! {{{HUGS}}}

  2. So it really does happen. All the jokes about the rich Uncle and the Fortune. Sounds like sometimes it more of a headache than anything. Play the piano for the dogs. They'll love it and it will help you relax.

  3. Time to put some of the 'stuff' in the hands of a lawyer to handle so you can just take care of the homefront

  5. Oh, there is always something, eh? I agree with "Incredibly Me", above, sometimes it's worth it to hire a lawyer!

  6. From Beth M. Give yourself some time to breathe, return to your regular schedule tomorrow. This will get all sorted out and will be easier to deal with given some time to think it all over. If need be, talk it over with your adult children.

  10. Wow! I agree that you should have your lawyer do the transfer of land that takes the worry off you and legally it will all be taken care of.

  13. Wow what a stressful call from Jamaica. Be careful with sending Himself signatures for things you don't understand. Good Luck!

  14. What a lot of worry! Yes, let a lawyer take care of that legal stuff. What does the song say, don't worry be happy! It's often easier said than done!
    I noticed a comment maybe on a different blog of yours about replying, I don't know most everyone that responds to you or others that I read. Even if they use their spark names. Who knew I would have to have a good memory for this new stuff. LOL
