  8. It's Kathy. Merry Christmas to you all! I'm so glad the Piano Man is able to stop by and fix your piano. My mom loved her piano and played it all the time. It was relaxing for her. I wish I could have kept it after she passed away but I had no space for it in my home and I never really learned to play. Took piano lessons for a year but it was not my thing! We celebrated with my children yesterday afternoon. It was probably the best Christmas celebration we've had in a long time. The 3 little boys were allowed to play upstairs - Jessica sleeps up there and she had it remodeled this year so it's really nice! And it seems they didn't damage anything which is a small miracle! They were actually good about opening their gifts too - understanding that they had to wait their turn! And the food was amazing, which we were able to take some home so no cooking for me for a couple of days! I hope your Christmas is wonderful. I also hope your sons come to their senses and call their parents on Christmas Day!!! You are amazing, you've done something really hard but in the long run it will be such a benefit to you and himself! Merry Christmas!

  13. A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, too.
I am here just relaxing. Got some gas, a blueberry muffin and a free cup of coffee at my local gas station/convenience store that's just 4 blocks away. It's the only thing in town that is open.
Tomorrow I go see a dear karaoke friend (93 y/o) who is in hospice at the facility across the street and Friday I go to my daughter's for our celebration.
I'm about to do a nap and cuddle with Lucky. Oh! I haven't given him is gift yet! It's a new want toy for me to flip around so he can chase and catch it. It's got a fish in the end with feathers attached to his tail. He will love it. I'll give it to him later before his supper.
Have a great dear, whatever you do. Just be happy. We have this wonderful holy-day and a new year of adventures ahead.

  14. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! And many blessings in the new year to come.

My two 'kids' and the dogs are all sleeping soundly; kids drove three hours home through the early morning hours and got here about 5:30am; I heard them come in and went back to sleep straight away, happy to know they were home safe.

So, my day will be quiet and my meals will be leftovers of the yummy Italian food we made for our Christmas celebration on the 23rd. Then, back to my regular healthy eating tomorrow ... that holiday feast food is so delicious, but I'm ready for the healthy stuff and the energy that comes with it and being more active.

  15. Merry Christmas! Just read yesterday’s post. Thinking about your other three sons, if don’t hear from them by evening, give each a call and wish them a Merry Christmas. You will have done the right thing and how they respond is on them. We cannot change other people, but we don’t have to behave as badly as they do. Hugs! Enjoy the day and enjoy your new place. Sometimes change can be a very good thing.

  20. Hi Lynda, Merry Christmas to the Youngs.
I can't believe Francis is coming today but good. We hope to hear that you're back to playing. Moves are very hard on pianos. Glad Francis can fix it.

  21. Merry Christmas Lynda, Fred, Lopez and Sushi. I hope you're enjoying a good day with Matt and your daughter-in-law. Wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year too. You will soon be settled in your new home, and wondering why you waited so long to move. Kudos to you Lynda for all the hard work preparing for the move, and for all the unpacking and making your home liveable. You truly are a WONDER WOMAN and my admiration for all you accomplish day after day knows no bounds. I hope you never stop blogging because it's one thing I look forward to each day.

  23. Ember got a rock for Christmas... a rubber rock. She loves it! Got to and from the kids' house safely and had a fine time with my co-inlaws, the kids and their foster-kiddo. He really is a great kid, and is more comfortable with the family group all the time. Merry Christmas, however and wherever you celebrate! May the Piano man be successful in restoring your instrument, because I know you get a lot of pleasure in the playing!
