YOU'RE WORTH IT!

I LOVED READING ALL YOUR COMMENTS LAST NIGHT--WAS SO SO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM YOU------  For a couple of weeks, I am afraid the blog will be hit and miss--just till we get settled---and I hope that "settled" word, means that the boxes in our place now,  might disappear--Right now, the living room is a huge mess--of boxes---  I have the kitchen sorta organized, the one bedroom, and the bath--but----the main room is looking bad-----  But I did get a few groceries this AM., and I did get to "M and M"---plus Food land, and Home Hardware-----

The city (town?) of Lakefield is very pretty--the buildings  are very quaint---  old--but, so nice--so pretty-- it's like living in an old movie--beautiful buildings--stores, well stocked---  along a  river with locks in it---lotza lakes in the area---

Am I happy that we moved?--Yes yes yes---Of course I shall miss the 3 boys left in Elliot Lake,  but it sure is nice to have $$$ in the bank--and no snow shovelling , nor as much work---  I do like the apartment very much---It is new----everything top notch--lovely appliances--everything we need--Lopez is doing well--ever  poor Sushi has her cat tree and is out at night wandering around--

If I had it to do again would I move??--- YES YES YES!  --probably 20 yrs earlier---  The movers cost us about $12,000-- well worth it--They packed , and  trucked everything AND unpacked-- So, dinner time and on the menu is left overs--LOL--

Are you ALL doing OK? Are you stronger than you ever believed that you could be?-=-- so so important!--Remember that Santa is resting up. ready for his big trip----TO VISIT ALL OF US!

                                                                    Big huge hugs -----

  1. Lynda HI!!! So happy to see a note...whenever you can.
THRILLED that you love your new home. It sounds lovely and first class wahoo!!!!
Glad Lopez is adjusting as well as Sushi. Hoping Fred is adjusting too.
Moving is incredibly expensive but....can't do it yourself or even with sons helping. Onward.
Your town sounds very lovely and safe.
Boxes will go away eventually and it's another chance to donate items you don't really want nor have room for.
I'm just "tickled pink" for you. You are a strong, brave, smart, beautiful woman.
I missed you terribly. So happy your safe and settling in.

  2. Lynda, you sound so happy and relieved like a huge weight has been lifted from your shoulders. I love quaint towns, though I don't live in one. Glad Matt was available to sort out the issue at the bank. No bug suit, no black flies, no weed whacking, no shoveling snow. It's a wonderful life you'll have. Yes, your apartment does look topnotch. Glad to hear your fur babies are adjusting. Don't tire yourself out, Lynda.

  3. It's Kathy. I am so happy to hear that you are settling in and really liking it. It sounds so wonderful. No shoveling, no raking, no lawn mowing - who could not love that! And everything new and clean and wonderful. I know you will have your place set up in no time! I am doing well. I love being able to be back to the gym and in only a couple of weeks I can feel my strength returning. I had Pilates today and did the entire 45 minutes with only a couple of very short breaks! I'm tired now but I don't hurt as much as I have before! A win for sure! Take care, don't feel like you have to do it all at once! We're also having leftovers for dinner!

  7. It sounds as if things are going very well! If kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are fairly organized you've made good progress. The living area will get there; and I'm guessing the boxes in there are not a big jumble, but fairly neatly placed.

So glad you like the town and the feel of it and that you all are settling in a little bit even though you've only been there a short moment.

  8. You, lovely lady with the great hair, all your boxes and your 'brood' all made it! Marvelous!
Lakeville sounds wonderful! You will love it there, I am sure.
Seems to me that when we are older, it is harder to adapt to new situations, but YOU did it!
It's cold here, and we're supposed to have lots of snow and way below freezing wind chills here within about a day. I guess we will have a white Christmas. Wonder if you will...
Is Himself able to get around okay with the boxes? Maybe he can balance on them sometimes instead of his cane.
I noticed no comments on our posts yesterday. Glad I looked further and saw there was a new blog! Lots of us were going through that withdrawal. You and yours are part of our family now. We think of you, pray for you, encourage you, laugh and cry with you.
So happy you're back! {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis, Maggie
