A new day and all is good---I hope!

It's a new day--- cooler too--with sunshine!-- And Tess, the "older" German, as in dog, is still with us--It is like a miracle! --And Himself and I are still together--LOLOL----  There is always another day, --IF ---I can keep my mouth shut---pretend I don't hear the comments--Lord love a Duck! --I didn't know it then, but--married life was so much easier when he was working!

BUT---  (that big "butt")---  to-day is looking good--Himself  seems happier now that all the radios and T.V's are working--and Sadie was here yesterday, (who , you know, is really me!)--and she vacuumed up a lot of dog hair, after the power outage when life was definitely not normal.

This was Big Beau this morning, waiting for his breakfast. He really is such a good boy!

Every morning I get up at 6am (or try to)-to feed both Germans (as in dogs)-walk them--and change their water--

To do this, I try to get to bed at least by 10pm--better if it's 9pm---but--I read--- A good book carries one away to another world!---  And living in the bush, my Kindle  sends great books to me and it has a light and I can increase the font--I don't think life would be worth living, without my Kindle-- Do any of you have one?

This is  a Granddaughter--- and me--- This young Lady just had a Birthday and I was invited.  Himself refused to attend!---  (Sometimes one must go to these events anyway ---'specially when the power was out in our house  and Himself too!) Lord love a Duck!----

There re so many reasons to stay strong aren't there?--  This young Lady's sister, last week, brought her boyfriend out to meet --"ME"----  her Grandmother. Now what teenager ever does that?--- Imagine!--"meeting the Gramma-- "ME"!

So, I must hoof it to the highway--- and back--keep the blood pressure down--wear sunglasses to protect the eyes--and-- I might meet some of you walking too--Oh wouldn't that be so nice?

  5. A wonderful picture of you and your granddaughter- nice that she spends time with you. I don’t have a kindle but do use my iPad to borrow books from the library. That’s what kept me sane during all of the lockdowns. I can go back to the library right now but this is much easier and right now I have 10 books on hold. It’s a beautiful day here as well and I must get out for a walk. Have a good weekend, 👍 👣

  6. Glad to hear all is well again at the lake... with power! Yes, I have a Kindle. Once I finally converted to ebooks I love it for the reasons you mentioned - from the light to the ways to darken, enlarge, change the font! All make it easier for these aging eyes to keep reading! Enjoy the day

  7. Yes, those men do sorta get lost when they don't have work anymore... He needs a
"purpose." He thinks it's watching tennis on the TV. I dunno what it could be for him, but something would help if he was motivated... Hmmmm. Mine is (luckily) working on household repairs, and fills in for me with grandsons when I need him to do so, usually for brief times. He can't handle the loudness of two young boys as they wrestle, play "war," and run around the downstairs with make-believe play. So I am with them most of the time.

I don't have a kindle. I go online, request holds on books from the library and go through the drive through to pick them up. Pretty safe and easy. I borrow books for these grands, as well, like Tree House books, that are entertaining for them, so I can quiet them with reading. So glad Miss Tess is still moving!!!

  10. I don't have a Kindle, but I do have a tablet that lets me read books from Kindle and I've spent many an hour happily reading and getting lost in other lives and places. I love I can make the text as large as needed, and that holding the tablet is easier than holding most books, and if I drop the tablet on my bed I don't lose my page (which happened way to often with regular books).

I set up a thing that brings your blog right into my Email, and it worked without needing any changes - the first time! I was worried I'd forget to come over to this website to check your blog and this little Email I get includes a link so I can come over and comment. I'm so happy it worked!

  14. I do have a Kindle, given to me by one of my daughters a couple of years ago. Because of the font flexibility it is at times the only way I can read some books. Also have a husband who watches tennis and other sports on tv but often with no sound if you can believe it. He gardens some too. Even half retirement is tough until we find ways to cope! We laugh at ourselves a lot to ease the whole thing. Laughter is still "the best medicine!" Mel

  16. Glad your life is getting back to "normal". That is great it is cooler for you. I can hardly wait until that happens here!!! We have high temps and smoke not a good combination.

I don't have a Kindle but I have a tablet and I read books all the time on it. It was funny when the Kindle came out I said I WOULD NEVER (I should know better than to say that since I usually end up eating my words!!! No wonder I have a weight problem!!!) read a book on a machine. Well Covid came and I had to eat my words and I fell in love. It is so much easier. I can download a book any time I want a new one from the library I don't have to wait until it opens. Yes I still read paper books but not as often. I do have 2 wait for me at the library which I hope I can get next week when it might be a little less smoky so I can breathe when I go outside.

Glad you went to your grand daughter's birthday party. That is so cool that your other grand daughter introduced you to her boy friend. That means you are a very special lady which of course we all already knew that.

So glad you figured out how to blog you bring sunshine into my life. Thank you!

    Have a great one

  24. cecile.picard.tessier Your Beau looks like our Hercules. As for dog hair, we have the same problem, we have miniature Hercules all over every day. I don't vacuum. I Swiffer. I find it's easier on my back.

Have a nice, happy and healthy week-end!

  29. Hi Lynda. I finally had a minute to find you here on blog ,spot. I appreciate al the help you received to get this set up. I would be in the same boat if I had to set up something new. I was happy to hear that Tess is okay. She is doing the best she can and I am sure the heat doesn't help, but she does keep walking with you even if it is shorter than before. I hope you have a good day tomorrow.
