A New Day and I must keep trying to be healthy--

Good morning--Good day to all!-- It is a brand new day--and we are a part of it! Lord love a Duck! There is not much better than that!

This picture was taken from my bedroom window this morning----The sun was just coming up-- In spite of all that is happening, the world is beautiful--(that's what I thought when I looked outside!)-

This is Northern Ontario, at its finest! So, if any of you don't know, I live  on the Precambrian Shield, (rock)--in the bush, but just 9km. north of a small town between Sudbury and Sault St. Marie--in Canada---We have raised our family here, and after having 5 children, I very much needed to lose weight, so I joined Spark People , which is not open now to Canadians.-----(which is kinda crazy!)

Most of you reading this know me as leanjean6 from Spark-and you are aware of the above-Some of you may not know that my dream is to visit the Queen (which will very likely never happen!)---

Another dream of mine is to live forever---(that will not happen either!)---but--maybe I could live thru my children---I guess we all do that!-AND----One must  be healthy as one ages---so, exercise is so important and eating properly is necessary---

As I type here, the Hummingbirds are outside the windows, fighting over their feeders, which seem to need to be filled every 2-3 days now. There are 3 feeders and there are Hummingbird wars going on around each feeder. Every feeder has one Hummingbird who appears to guard that one feeder, only allowing his friends in to feed.---Hopefully these tiny birds leave sooner than later as these days it seems I'm forever crawling thru the bushes, hanging up a feeder, hoping that I don't get stung with a hornet, who wants the sugar water also,

Son#2 is in Hong Kong----a cargo flight--He called this morning to tell me he had landed.

I must get my walk in, if I am to get this body into shape, to meet the Queen. If any of you wish to come for tea with the Queen and me (if she ever calls me)- let me know, and Son #2 the Air Canada Pilot will get us there.

STAY STRONG------ Lord love a Duck! WE CAN DO THIS!

  1. Yes we can stay strong, well put, yes I too am very sad that Sparkpeople has closed but am SO GRATEFUL that I found it in the first place as I've met some really wonderful people here including you.

My daughter is making Brownies this afternoon, wish she wasn't but I had the ingredients for her so will try to keep out of the way.

It got sunny and I put washing out and then the sun went in again, luckily our conservatory is like a drying room.

Hope you have a wonderful day, love and hugs Donna x

  4. A beautiful picture of the sunrise and the lake. Sounds like a peaceful place to live. Put my name down for lunch with the Queen as I’d love to see England. My husband was born in Manchester but has had no plans to return for a visit. So happy to read your blog every day as it keeps me on course as well. Off to lunch with my Bell friends that I haven’t seen for 2 years but I will have a salad with a grilled chicken breast and no dessert! Have a great day! 👍😀🥗

  6. Good morning Lynda! You're starting your day out and I'm just at the end of mine. It's been a great day! Sunshine, the lawnmower people came (I'm afraid it's way too much for me to handle) and that meant I got to see one of my favourite smiling faces this morning. I did something good for my health (had a test done), did some exercise and helped out my neighbours which was great because they help me with so many things it's nice to give back a little bit. Anyway, time to go to bed. I'll leave you in charge of the sunshine! ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕

  12. Hi Lynda, I found you and I'm so glad. I was LIVINTODAY on SparkPeople. I've enjoyed all your blogs here. Sounds like it was quite a learning experience. Well it has been a learning experience for me just learning how to comment. Hopefully this one gets to you. I love the hummingbirds too but we never get more than one or two at a time. Sounds like they are giving you quite a workout. I'll be back for tomorrows blog and look forward to hearing more of your stories about "Life in the bush". So glad Tess's bump is gone and that she is doing better!

  13. I haven't figured out how to add my name here - but it is paceka1. Too many new things to learn all at once. I love the photo and would really love to live out in the country. So much traffic at my house that I can barely hear the birds.

  14. What a lovely view from your bedroom! A treat to see! I miss the hummingbirds, we had them a lot, when we lived in Greenville, California, yes, the town that burned down!

  23. Good evening Lynda! It is a new day and happy to be here. Felt really strange this morning without our Spark but we'll move forward elsewhere. Keep hoofing it up the road and leave the chocolate ice cream alone...I know that's hard to do, because I love it TOO! Stay safe and healthy 👑🥰

  40. Honey, you will live forever. Of course, you will put this physical body down for a while and come back with a new one with no memory of this life...but I really believe there is no death...only transition back to Spirit.

  41. What a beautiful sunrise. We have friends that live North of Toronto but I can't remember the town. Any you live on a beautiful lake and we live in a small village on the Wisconsin River. In fact there are two villages that run together. Since we have had company for a couple of weeks I have a feeling I have gained a pound or two. Tomorrow will tell. My sister and my other sister that is visiting have had covid and everybody that we have seen in the last two weeks has had to be tested. They are over it now or so the test said and my DH and I have testded negative but it is still a bother. My DH and I both had covid in July of 2020 so maybe we still have some antibodies. Anyway take care and wear that mask.

  42. Let me know when. I have my 2 Covid shots, my passport, my drivers license and it sounds like fun. On the flight you will need to brush me up on Royal protocol. Can I bow instead of curtsey. My knees don't work that well. Is it proper to wear a hat? Oh so many questions.
Red leaves mean snow and cold coming. Here in Arizona(where I live) we will be having 100's again next week and I am told baby rattlers are recently born and to be careful of where my hands and feet are when I am outside.
