Do you ever feel like there is just no time for "you"?-
- I guess that is why I sometimes wonder if being a Queen might have some perks-- When Himself retired, I decided that it would be "me" who climbs out of bed at 5-30am--let him sleep--- and get the Germans (as in dogs)-fed--change their water-- feed the cat, and change her water----plus, I walk Tess, the German who does not want to walk very far anymore--And there are the hummingbirds ----3 feeders to keep full, and one must climb through the bushes to take down those feeders and take your chance with the bees which are all over the feeders this time of year.
I am complaining I guess--Lord love a Duck! Every morning it is a challenge, and I do it--- part of having pets I guess----and part of living with a 92 yr old husband, who tries his best to keep up with the chores.
One of the Grandchildren , came up from the basement , the other day, and I heard him say to his Dad, "Dad, you should see Grandpa doing his exercises", and he proceeded to demonstrate all the moves the 92 yr old Grandpa was doing. He was impressed---So, I know Himself is trying---
Even tho I am not going to be on Spark , I continue to walk---and am tying to eat healthy--Lord love a Duck!--It has been extremely hot , walking-----but I know I sleep better when I get out there and hoof it up the highway--
Oh no--an alarm is beeping-- and the Germans just came running up here--What on earth is it?--
There really is never a dull moment in this house! --talk to yu to-morrow--hopefully!
I hope the alarm wasn’t anything serious. I love your new blog site and it’s nice to keep in touch with you. Have a wonderful day and don’t let the heat get to you. It’s supposed to cool off here on Friday and I can’t wait. I’m looking after my grandson this afternoon and can’t wait to spend time with him. 👍 😀
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping the alarm was handled and you're on to other more "ordinary" moments in your day! Be safe, be well, and so good to see your blogs go up... I look for you first!
ReplyDeleteG'day! I found your blog! I sent you an Email but didn't get a reply - and you haven't (Yet?) befriended me on Facebook, but hopefully we'll be able to visit one another here. I took a walk around the block today and tried something new - instead of having lunch at lunch time, I had my dinner instead - then took my walk. Later in the evening I had a light 'supper'. My glucose readings seemed to like it and I seemed to get more time in my day somehow too. Anyway, it's after midnight but it's SO good to catch up with you and read about Himself exercising and families on the dock! Hope the alarm was something simple. Take Care ((Hugs))
ReplyDeleteSo glad to still follow your blogs - I look forward to them everyday! :)
ReplyDeleteI’m so glad you are beautifully up and running!! Yes you have a big busy life! I wouldn’t care for the bees, though we have hornets around here that sometimes threaten when I’m near the garden or the kids swimming pool. Good for Himself still exercising! I sure hope that alarm was nothing serious!!
ReplyDeleteLynda! I'm so glad I found your blog!! Glad to know the vet will take care of Tess and hope the alarm was not too serious.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have the blog under control. I am glad to have helped.
ReplyDeleteJust take it easy and do a little at a time.
Have a good day
So HAPPY that you have a place to keep us up to date on your challenging life! Glad to hear Tess is OK for now. Keep up your hard work a losing weight as it encourages all the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteGlad to read your blog again!
ReplyDeleteI am happy you are continuing to work towards being healthy and active!
ReplyDeleteMake some me time today!
ReplyDelete=)) Oh, well, I guess we'll never know how the Queen passes her time handling all her chores. Glad their granddad is giving such a good example, wow! Keep up with those walks but beware of the bears!
ReplyDeleteYup . . . amazing what WE end up doing when our himself's retire. **SIGH*** BUT we'll stay in shapr, right! UGH.
ReplyDeleteHUGS
So happy you are able to be on blogspot!(hugs).

ReplyDeleteSharon Cyr (ShaKaCy on SP)
Hi Lynda. Looking forward to your blogs. So thankful to hear Tess is fine!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I found you, not sure how ;) but I'm here. So gad you found a new home!!
ReplyDeleteHope the alarm was nothing serious... yes, it is always something. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour work is never done, boy howdy! Is is your lot in life! Have you played your piano lately? Can the hummingbird feeders be placed some where easier to get to? That might help a bit. Spray some oil in the feeder part, bees don’t like that.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
That is a lot to do; hopefully you can schedule in a bit more relax and refresh time. Hopefully your children/grandchildren will pitch in a bit more, especially if it allows you to stay in your lake house rather than move into town.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear your husband is doing what he is able to stay active and physically spry.
Hope all is well regarding the alarm and commotion...
I am soooo happy to read the good news about Tess! Prayers were answered.
ReplyDeleteSuch good news! Love the new blog site. Glad we can keep in touch.
Hugs from California,
Belinda
So glad to read that nothing was found to be wrong with Tess! And you're doing amazing with the new blog. Getting to continue following you is making losing Spark a little bit easier at least, so thank you! Karen (neverornow)
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear about Tess. With the weather being so hot it is harder on her too. Keep up the good work - you do so much to help everyone else. Take care of yourself too!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I found you. I truly enjoy your daily posts!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have found your blog and especially that your beautiful Tess is still with you! Best wishes on your new blog! I will be following you in this new endeavor.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to know what the alarm was!! Keep walking, it's so good for you and the dogs!
ReplyDeleteHaving pets just means we have to get up. Gone are the days of sleeping late!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blogs for years and have come to the realization that you are the reason I would open my SP emails. So now I shall just come here and no need to worry out the other. So glad to have found you!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up! Life can get crazy at times.
ReplyDeleteLynda, I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see you've started your own blog. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are the ONLY reason I would check out Spark daily. You are a true GEM of a person. Full stop. I want you to know how much of a difference you make in my life. THANK YOU! What can I do for you??
ReplyDeleteA busy day for sure.
ReplyDeleteWe have 4 hummingbird feeders. The 2 on the patio are easy to reach to refill. For the 2 on a tree limb we use a telescoping reacher/grabber pole now which is safer than the ladder spouse was using.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that I found your blog. Thank you. I hope the alarm was nothing serious.
ReplyDeleteEveryday comes with its challenges. I just am thankful that I still have the energy to meet the daily challenges. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are still blogging! Keep sparkling! We enjoy your journey!
ReplyDeleteGlad I found your new spot to blog. Even though Spark is closing will be good to still read your stories.
ReplyDeleteThis is a test post to see if I am identified this time.
DeleteCan't find a blog for Aug. 12. Did everyone else find one dated Aug 12?
DeleteI am having trouble following along. I hope I am doing it right. It seems like some blogs repeat themselves and it's hard for me to figure out where to make a comment. But, I will keep trying. Sure am happy you found a place to continue your blogging.
DeleteIt worked. Amazing what us ole folks can learn by trial and error. Even got all my saved messages from Sparked saved in a new place so I don't lose the info. Everyone have a productive and safe Thursday.
