If you can change yer mind--you can change yer life!

This morning -Sunday----my mind was thinking--  "Well, it's Sunday so I can take a rest from walking" Then I remembered the wee 96 yr old woman, who lives by herself--in her own home---and walks EVERY day--- not far---but--she is out there trying to stay fit. AND--she looks amazing!

I just returned from hoofing it to the highway and back--with my music. It was hot, but, I did it!  No-one patted me on the back to tell me that I did well to get out and walk--I feel good tho--and, hopefully the weight will continue to drop down, slowly.

I am trying to change may life!

Tess, the German, who is "living on the edge", is trying  very hard to stay on the "land of the living."

She walked with me  but not far-----That is OK tho--

So , life without Spark seems kinda weird, but---perhaps it all fits in with a "change in my life"-

Mom used to say, "A change is as good as a rest."--We shall see--Lord love a Duck! -I hope so!

  1. Good for you getting that walk in, I really need to start doing that. So happy I found you here and got busy back on blogger so I can keep up with my 'imaginary friends' as BrooklynBorn likes to call us. It is weird getting use to life without Spark but it is getting better - Hugs and Sparkles

  2. It’s so good to continue reading your blogs. You are so right, sometimes change is good. I’ve been on MyFitnessPal for 60 days now since the Spark announcement. I’ve lost 12 pounds! So, maybe I just needed to change things up. 🀷‍♀️
    Have a great day! ❤️

  3. Tess is such a beautiful girl and I’m glad she is holding on. I’m still getting the emails from SparkPeople but I guess the one today will be the last. I do like myfitnesspal and will continue on it. I just have to get more exercise. It’s another beautiful day here so I will get a walk in. Enjoy the day! πŸ‘πŸ‘£

  7. Well I will pat you on your back and say GREAT JOB for getting out there and walking even in the hot weather. You are much better than I am. Hot weather and I stay inside. Can't breathe in the heat.

I am praying for dear Tess that God will heal her. It is going to be so hard to hear when one of your animals dies or gets hurt. I have heard so much about them that I feel like I actually have seen and hugged and petted them. Weird but I guess that is just me - weird. IT is also the same with your family and the wonderful 96 year old lady

  8. Well, that's an expression that's nw to me..a change is a good as a rest! Most of what your mom (and my mom) said were idioms, that I actually taught middle schoolers when I was working...The ones with language lapses often missed those subtleties, like the idioms. Glad that pup is s till walking with you! I'm (we are) with you, too!!

  9. Hey, there! Good to see you in my reading list... just got to the list now, because I spent the earlier part of the day pushing to finish my "blog review" project. Hope you and Tess keep on keeping on... and make this change work like a rest, too!πŸ˜πŸ’–✨

  13. I'm so glad you set up a blog. I may not remember to check in every day but I will read all those I have missed. I think you are amazing - you do so much more than I do every day. I'm glad Tess was up for a walk with you. My Daisy is only 8 but I can feel her slowing down - she tires out sooner. I am also patting you on the back and if I knew how, I would send you a Gold Star!!!

  17. I will be doing my walk today at a medical centre - I'll be having a mammogram done - this marks the 20th year since I had breast cancer. I can't believe I'm still here, but I'm sure there's a reason I am so I better do my best to keep healthy and do whatever it is I'm meant to do. I love your blogs and here's my pat on the back in the form of a big HUG! Cheers!

  18. Yes tomorrow will be my change of life. I don't know if SP will be here tomorrow morning or not. Maybe I will stay in bed an hour longer tomorrow. All things work out for a reason. I have therapy today so will add my walk to that for my exercise. Have a great day!

  20. I'm glad that Tess is still with us. Also like the attitude if the 96 year old can walk, so can I. Do you think the Queen does the same thing daily?

While Spark is no more, we are still here doing what we can to stay healthy and enjoy life! Happy Wednesday.
