A trip to the groomer!~

Beau and I are off to the groomer this AM--9am--  Hopefully it will go OK---  I am tempted to call Son #1  to help me with him as Himself really is not good or strong enough to calm Beau down en route.

Speaking of Himself, last evening was not good-- He got very angry with me   when I was coming in from the icey front lawn with Lopez---The phone was ringing, and I asked him to please get it as I had my boots on, but----- --Oh well-----I won't go into all that-- I must learn how to handle Himself when he becomes so angry---totally not like him at all-- not his old personality---- sad!  --Oh well--  --Hopefully I will write later--  Lord love a Duck! It isn't always a "bed of roses" (Moms expression)  dealing with a 93 yr old!

  1. Oh, Lynda, so many hugs ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Hope Beau is his best behaved self ever. Sometimes animals sense when we need them to be.

  4. I've forgotten from former blogs, have you ever tried a doggie chill pill for the adventures in the car. I believe they have natural, organic supplements that might help.

  5. Lynda, be very mindful of these out of character changes in your hubby. It could mean that something is going on with his brain, I'd be talking to your sons, to have him evaluated and checked thoroughly. Just my thought.

All the best getting Beau to the groomers. I hope you get your son to help you, might be a lot less stressful.

    Hugs to all of you.

  7. Hope Beau did ok at the groomers. Are there places in your town for folks with memory problems and such, or do they have to go to Sudbury?

  9. So sorry things were sour w/Himself. **SIGH** Yes, it just goes that way when you're 93. BUT if you have voicemail, no harm, no foul.

HUGS to you. HOPE Beau did well w/the grooming.

  10. Beau is beautiful. Himself will get over it. You never said who got the phone. If he made you do it, you could have said, "Fine then you can clean up the mess my boots make." That would have probably made him angrier, though.

Living with others...and the disagreements...can be difficult no matter the ages involved.

    I trust tomorrow will be better! {{{HUGS}}}

  11. I hope all went well at the groomers. The last time Daisy went she wasn't very happy and I suspect she didn't cooperate very well either because she wasn't done as well as usual. I'm also sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with himself, especially when that's not his true nature. Thinking of you!

  12. I hope the trip to the groomers went well. I'm sorry Himself is having more anger; my grandmother and my mother both had this as they aged and had increasing dementia, and it's disheartening. Hopefully you're doing some things to brighten your days and take good care of yourself as well.

  13. Thanks for all the kind/sweet comments re: David.......
I am sorry Himself is not acting like Himself ... sometimes there are
things we don't expect....try staying calm while he is upset...
I am sure after all the time you 2 are married you know how to best
    handle him.............
