Wishing for "normal times" Santa!

This is Son#1 on the left--Son#2 in the middle-- with their 2nd cousin--Right now, Son#1 is in the UK---returning to-day--He did say that the Queen is not taking any visitors due to the Covid . Doesn't it make one feel better, knowing that we ALL (even the Queen) are in this together! ---Lord love a Duck!--I have spoken to Son#2 this AM--said the kids swim coach and wife, will be on his return flight to-day--Imagine!--2 people from little old Elliot Lake , on the Dreamliner-He absolutely loves it when he knows someone on his flight.--
---some pictures from London--
I must tell you that wee Lopez  has NOT had an accident in this house for 2 days now. Things are looking up for sure! I was trying  to clean upstairs here this morning too, and you'd think it "was the end of the world"---  all the crying that went on from Mr Lopez who was  penned in on the main level.

The news to-day is all about the virus--kinda tired of it---  but--it does remind one to be mindful!---Isn't it a very different world that we live in now?--- --climate change (My Mom never heard of that!)--and a Pandemic-- (Who would ever think?)-

So, Santa Claus  who lives very near here, is  getting his sleigh ready--I can hear him Ho-ho ho-ing when I walk to the mail box--I think I might've even seen him thru the trees--He did ask me if I knew who was naughty or nice ----I told him that everyone I knew , was really really nice! -----

--well---  maybe not all the time! --We are all kinda tired of everything that has been thrown at us lately-- Can you just make things normal Santa???

  1. Wonderful picture of 3 of your sons! That cousin really resembles your Himself!

Glad little Lopez has had 2 good days! Poor Lopez, he wants Mama in sight!

Definitely a different world we live in between the pandemic and global warming. **SIGH** Definitely not something I would have ever imagined.

OH yes, we are ALL really, really nice! But just in case, I better do my own shopping.

It WOULD be a wonderful thing to have NORMAL for Christmas!

    Happy Christmas week.

  2. I am back to staying totally at home. I had gone grocery shopping twice but am getting it curbside again. Was just trying to get up nerve to actually go and eat in a restaurant but now that will wait a while yet. DH & I are wondering if at 85 & 83 we will survive long enough to ever see the end of it. What a good boy Lopez has been. Be sure to give him lots of praise.

  3. How cool that pilot son will have people he knows on his flight. Great pics from London and from your boys and their cousin.
Finally, 2 good days out of Lopez. Hoping it lasts. What a whiny baby he is...has to see mom.
I sure wish Santa could fix this mess.
    Stay safe.
    Hugs

  4. Sounds like an excellent Christmas time prayer: for normal, whatever that is! But certainly for the ending of the pandemic. It won't be the SAME normal, but maybe it won't be quite as scary as this wave after wave of variant. I just got statements for my Medicare gap insurance and my house taxes, and YIKES! But I am thankful for both.

Hugs for Beau and Sushi as well as Lopez, and that's a great photo of your precious good sons, and their cousin. It's awesome that they are able to get to and from the UK! Careful all the way.

Stay safe yourself, and I send the safest kind of hugs there are: on-line virtual hugs!

  5. So happy for Lopez's good news!!! YAY! BRAVO, LOPEZ!! It's a big advantage to have Santa living so close to you. Do you have some special cookies and milk ready for him? lol

  6. Yes, we are tired of this virus and the fear the news media instills in us.

It is good news about Lopez, though. And you hearing from your sons.

I was to go to my daughter's for Christmas dinner and gift. It has been cancelled at my son-in-law (who is a kidney recipient and on all kinds of meds) has covid!

    Won't it be great...for the Queen, too...when this is all over?! {{{HUGS}}}

  7. I am so very tired of hearing about Covid. I know it's here, I know it's bad, and I've done all I can to take care of myself. Sending a big GOOD DOG LOPEZ your way!

  10. I guess folks that lived through the Great Depression grew tired of it, too. We must hang tough, see what stuff we are made of. Think of the poor hospital workers! Chin up?

  12. Yay for Lopez having two good days!! And it's annoying, but yay that he is so bonded to you he wants you with him ... if he's bonded to you he'll want to please you so it may help with the training. :D

It's not great about the covid and variants, but I limit how much news I listen to. I've vaccinated and boostered. I wear the mask where required. I figure I'm going to enjoy life and choose happy despite it all.

Thanks for giving me a good word with Santa!

    Hugs to you.

  16. I'm very tired of this new way that we're living and hope we can go back to what was our normal way of living. But who knows if that will really ever be?

So happy to hear that Lopez is not doing his business in the house, fingers crossed that keeps up. Aw, he's a baby still and cries when his mama gets out of his sight. I would LOVE to have a full grown Chihuahua for company but it would have to be fully pee pad trained because I would be unable to take it out for walks. HOWEVER, another dog is never going to happen for me. I really would not be able to take care of it. Nice to dream, eh?

    Hugs & Love xoxo
