I hear people around me saying that they are tired of all the restrictions in our lives-Covid restrictions--My own grown children are saying that too-- my daughter's husband, a Doctor, always replies, "Well, Covid isn't tired of you!"-----He is right!-- It is waiting for us to loosen our masks--let down our guard--and we know it will attack--- And we have come so far--- "Life is Good"----- I cannot forget that!--- if anything, maybe I should "Double mask" in the grocery store-- go earlier when the multitudes are not up yet--Wash my hands when I get home, which I seem to be forgetting at times now--- I never used to forget---
Christmas is just around the corner-- It will be a different type of Christmas for Himself and I--not as many people around us--not so much carolling----- but--(always the big "BUTT")- WE ARE ALIVE! ---Sometimes I forget!----But---- the Virus doesn't forget!
I just thought I'd throw that in --- Our life could be worse--We could all be "Cows"-- The poor cows eh---out in the rain--I just want to remind myself--and you all-- that we CAN fight this virus--and--if you are all at home Christmas Day and feeling sorry for yourself (as I am sure I will be feeling!)-- remember that I am here-- and you can read "the daily blog" and we can pretend that we are all together--on here--and we will be-together, I mean!
If you believe you are under attack, you will be.
ReplyDeleteLet's just find reasons to be happy. More reasons than we have to be sad or fearful.
WE CAN DO IT!
PS The party was wonderful!{{{HUGS}}}
Not giving up. We are strong. Life is good.
ReplyDelete❤️❤️❤️
My parents went through two world wars in Germany! So I shut up and deal!
ReplyDeleteYes...together if we care about each other we can be happy and healthy. Cutting some people out of our lives (who are bringing us down) might be the right path forward.
ReplyDeleteTruth – we may be tired of Covid and the restrictions but Covid isn’t done w/us yet. Definitely now is not the time to be lax in our precautions!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely glad I’m not a cow! LOLOL
What a grand idea . . . if we all think of each other on Christmas, we won’t feel as alone!
Wise words today, Lynda, thanks!

Yes, certainly hadn't thought things would change as they are just before Christmas. Even the grocery store will be back to 50% capacity so there will be line ups in the cold again. Until it moves to another planet we just have to stay positive and think about a brighter future for all of us!
ReplyDeleteI like what your son-in-law said - Covid is not done with us yet! I also mask whenever I go into a store, or even to pick up my pizza last night. I try to remember to wash my hands when I return. My children are gathering at my daughter's for a short time on Christmas day - I am waiting to see how I feel before I decide whether or not I will attend. I am having knee replacement surgery in just 3 weeks and I don't want to take any risks!
ReplyDeleteYour son-in law is right! Covid isn't finished with us yet. We just have to be patient and do what they tell us too.
ReplyDeleteKeep on keeping on. Covid fatigue is real but, yes, we must not let our guard down.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder!! More vaccinations needed too!
ReplyDeleteGreat doctor!!! I am blessed to be home safe. Not feeling sorry for myself at all. Happy Holidays!:)
ReplyDeleteI like what your son in law said, I agree.
ReplyDeleteYes. Now is not the time to slack off on precautions.
I'll be thinking of you and your great BD party on Christmas so i won't feel lonely. We all have so much to be thankful for. I'm certainly glad I'm not a cow.
Blessings to you and your family.
We are strong, and we are NOT giving up! I'm back to picking up my groceries curbside again. Still masking when I work out with the trainer, but not giving up the workouts because they are good for me. Being healthy and fit helps fight this thing, too, but being "old-er" I also have my vax and booster, and my at-home test kit for Christmas eve afternoon, for extra confidence before the tiny party.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and comfort and joy wished on your smaller gather, too!
I am back to using curbside pickup for groceries, not going into any stores or having any visitors. Hope everyone is triple vaccinated by now and be sure to follow restrictions. Someone hit the nail on the head (My Mom used to say that) when they said "Keep others safe over Christmas".
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! You are so good at writing, Lynda. You throw in fun stuff, serious stuff, and wise stuff. Thank you. It's a good life in spite of it all.
ReplyDeleteYour words are very true! Covid has hit my extended family and this virus is no joke. Take precautions, stay masked to stay healthy!
ReplyDeleteStill catching up! I am so glad you told us what your son-in-law says. The Covid-19 virus is not tired of us! That is so important to remember. I still can't understand why people do not vaccinate.I ran into a lady in church a couple weeks ago (she is deaf) asked me to drop my mask so she could read my lips, and the subject came up about the virus. I just assumed she was vaccinated. Found out she wasn't so I put my mask back up. Backy and I left the church just shaking our heads. (((HUGS)))
