We are trying to open up the main level a bit now, as Son #2 will arrive after Christmas with Gerrard, his dog--and I can imagine how things will be difficult with furniture blocking the kitchen--Poor Beau--so far, he has been very good with Lopez --no bites-- Lopez climbs all over him, and one of these days Beau just might get fed up and bite him---so------I try to separate them somewhat, whether it is the right thing to do or not-
So, Himself has one hearing aid that is not working, so--this AM (8-30am) --we have an appointment to take it down to the hearing clinic--and--it is snowing!--(Would'nt you just know?)---- If they can't fix it in town, I will have to resurrect the megaphone ---Lord love a Duck! Isn't it great that there is always a backup plan?
So far--so good--- WE are avoiding the virus--- It is worrisome tho, isn't it?--(As if we don't have enough to worry about?)
Hang in--- It's Monday-
Good morning
ReplyDeleteBe very careful in your travels to have the hearing aid repaired. Glad you have the megaphone handy for backup. With Lopez acting up and Fred not hearing, things could get even more interesting at your house.
Beau is such a good boy tolerating Lopez. Sounds like more excitement and challenges heading your way with the arrival of pilot son and his dog. Hoping all the dogs get along. Poor Sushi will likely hide upstairs for days.
Hoping Lopez gets it SOON.
Have a great day. Stay safe and mask on.
Hugs
'Hang in there Lynda.' That seems to be the way it is with most of us right now, for various reasons. Usually the big dogs put up with small ones, like the small ones are just pesky, lol.
ReplyDeleteMy wee Chihuahua never got any bigger than 3 1/2 lbs, can you imagine that? Half the size of Lopez. I had to watch all the time that I didn't step on her, she seemed to always be where my feet were going.
Enjoy this week, Santa will soon be here.
Hugs to you all. xoxo
You have a strong disposition, Lynda! I commend you! I would have had a nervous breakdown by now! Be so careful driving in that ungodly weather! Hope the hearing aids can be fixed in your village.
ReplyDeleteWishing you safety on your trip to town, and hope that they are able to fix the hearing aid on site for your Himself! Life is a heavy lift sometimes, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteVirtual hugs for the entire tribe and may there be a Christmas peace on the visits!
You are doing great Lynda. Keep it up. It will all work out. You seem to be a born caregiver taking care of everyone, people and pets. Hope they are able to fix the hearing aid.
ReplyDeleteHi Willow--, my friend! They sent the hearing aid away--They said it will be back in January-- Well! Lopez just called me with bis weird yelp-=-- and I took him out and he pooped--Maybe there is hope!--LOL Lynda
DeleteBeautiful pics! What's not to love from wee Lopez? LOL! I know, I can relate. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, little Lopez WILL learn.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear Himself has a non-working hearing aide. **SIGH** Maybe they have one that they can lend while his gets fixed? My audiologist does. It is not exactly like what I have, but . . . better than not hearing. Good luck!
And safe travels!

I looked after my friend's chihuahua a couple of years ago for a month. He was six at the time (called Brutus!!). I was advised to still put a piddle pad out for him, which he only used once, but he peed once on my white rug. He really didn't like going out in the cold, and I couldn't get him to walk at all as soon as it snowed. But he was so cute curled up on my lap every morning as I had my morning tea. Hang in there Lynda.

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling more encouraged today. Some days are just not the best days! I imagine it can be difficult with himself not being able to hear very well. My father had hearing aids - he also had to take some medication for awhile every 4 hours. So he had a thing he carried his meds in his picket that beeped every four hours - the only thing was that he couldn't always hear it!!!
ReplyDeleteThat little guy is sooo cute!! Being that cute is probably what keeps him alive...:D
ReplyDeleteTime will help with Lopez, it just takes time house breaking a puppy, remember that. Just like kids they need routine, and consistency plus boundaries. You raised 5 wonderful kids, and Lopez will be wonderful once he gets there too.
ReplyDeleteRemember he is still a pup. I hope Beau isn't getting left out because Lopez gets all the attention. You hardly ever mention him. Hope all works out with son #2 and his dog. It will be good to see him again. Here's to getting the hearing aide fixed!
ReplyDeleteSsshhh, don’t tell my DH about the megaphone! ๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteMy hearing helpers are out of warranty and I worry and wonder when I’ll have to replace them. Big hugs to you and yours! ❤️❤️❤️
That Lopez is a cutie.
ReplyDeleteStill catching up. (((HUGS)))
