-He wanted a picture of Himself and I, and to-day he came at 10am--Lord love a Duck!-- We left Beau barking onside the house, with Lopez, terrified of all the chaos ----- Son #2 had suggested the picture be taken outside (because of all the covid stuff)- -- Anyway, when I came back in, Lopez, in all his "upsetedness"---(Is that a word?)---- well, Lopez broke thru all our barriers that we were trying to contain him in the kitchen with, and was racing around the whole house-upstairs--downstairs ---running and crying like crazy--- I suppose he is trying to tell us that he is ready to face the whole house now--- but--am I ready?---
Maybe I have no choice?-----

When we were puppy sitting for my sons puppy he had a crate that we put him in when we left and at night but we got where we trusted him at night so he would sleep with us along with our big dog Bear.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday
Separation anxiety... it is a thing!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I can picture that little whirling dervish Lopez running around! But it sounds like he did all right!
ReplyDeleteHow neat that the reporter wanted to do a story about you and your family! 43 yrs. in the same place is remarkable!
Hope all goes well w/the story!

First of all Lynda, I really like this photo of you, it's a lovely one.
ReplyDeleteLopez sounds as though he doesn't want you out of his sight! Chihuahuas seem to really bond with one person and you are that one! It's similar to a baby who can't lose sight of it's mother.
Wonderful that an article is being done about you and Fred, will we be able to see it here? I sure hope so.
Hugs coming to you, Fred, Beau, Sushi & Lopez
Wonderful news they are going to write about you and your great family. I just love your daily blog. I hope the story is just as good. Not sure you are ready for Senior Lopez leaving little "presents" around the entire house just yet. He is still a puppy. good luck.
ReplyDeleteThat will be a wonderful story of you, Fred and your family. Lopez probably couldn't understand why you and Himself were outside with a stranger and Beau was there barking. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteThat’s awesome! You will need to share when it is in print.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture of you.
Have a great day!
I think Lopez was searching for his people. Nice photo of you.
ReplyDeleteYou will have to post a link to the story when it is published so we can all read it. Such fun. Our Newf doesn't like us to leave her either and she is much more destructive if she wants to be . . .mostly just makes a mess with garbage and not the kitchen garbage because she can't get that . . .the can by the dryer (lint), kleenex from the bathroom and the like. We don't leave her alone very often.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome they are going to do an article about all of you. I hope we get to see it.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of you. You look amazing!
Now as far as little Lopez goes I don't think he wants to be in the whole house. He was just looking all over for you. Poor guy. Especially with Beau barking he probably thought he was abandoned. You are his as far as he is concerned. Sorry about that.
Nice photo, you look lovely. Poor wee Lopez, everone got to go out. He just wanted his "Mommy". Congrats on the article, can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice photo of you and how exciting that the community paper wants to do an article on you and your family. I suppose little Lopez was kind of freaked out at all the commotion!
ReplyDeleteHe needs a warmer place to live, Florida perhaps. How nice that your story made the papers! Just like the Queens!
ReplyDeleteLovely news that your family is going to be on a newspaper! Poor little Lopez, lol.
ReplyDeleteI have a shirt that says CHAOS DOORDINATOR I think you need more than me. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! You make me laugh so much. Very nice picture. It was all strange to Lopez as he only sees so many people and they are family. Remember everything is still new to him. Please let us see the story when it comes out.
ReplyDeleteI really like your picture Lynda. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteHow special that you and Fred/family will be featured in the paper. I hope we get to read the article.
Lopez..sigh...he's a challenge. Time will tell if he's ready for freedom. Based on past actions, he's probably not ready nor trustworthy.
Have a great day.
Maybe the Queen will read about your family and invite you over for tea.
Hugs
They grow up so fast!
ReplyDeletep.s. I’m ready to board the virtual plane for a party. The 16th? 😉🎁✈️❤️
Congratulations on the article about your family. You look so beautiful in your picture. I would imagine this was the first time Master Lopez was totally alone in the house. That can be really frightening for a very young puppy. If you give him small amounts of time such as a minute to start and go back in and when he accepts one minute start stretching it out a little longer, he will learn that you will be back. It all takes time, but he will get there.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blogs. I would enjoy reading the story about your family if you are able to share it with us.
Have a great evening
Beth Mosko
No, López was feeling abandoned. He still is a puppy
ReplyDeleteGreat picture Lynda.
ReplyDeletePoor Lopez! He sure has a time of it! I would love to see and read the article the reporter puts in the paper.
ReplyDeleteOh My! Poor wee Lopez!(((HUGS)))
