There is never a dull moment here!

The weight is down again--Eventually I will get to 165-It is hovering now around 184---That is the good news --The bad news is that even my jeans are looking  pretty bad right now-baggy and I have too haul them up---You see, as the weight drops, hopefully the blood pressure drops too-

So, I have bought new pillows for our bed--  I have them on  my side of the bed already, but, there is a bit of a problem here. Himself is telling me that his pillow is just fine and don't change it----Now his pillow is from the dark ages--I'm sure that we have had the pillows on our bed forever--so long, that I can't remember when I bought them! -- So this morning, I took the pillow from his side , and replaced one of his with a new one. Hopefully he won't notice!-----  I put the old one away, just in case  he discovers what I did! -----I used to do that with his shirts---  put a nice new shirt on his side of the closet--take all the tickets off-- and hope for the best! --You see, Himself does not enjoy anything new! --and when he made the discovery  --of course I would say, "Oh it has been there all along"---  so, the shirt would never get worn for at least 10 years--

Lopez is on the "Bell system" now--Every 90 minutes the bell rings and we go out and he does his business-- At the same time I am looking into all your suggestions yesterday as well as a book on Chihuahuas----He is a little scallywag  as my Dad used to say--and the Omicron  Boy, (Son#2) is isolating--did another test and it's still positive--but he seems to be OK---  The virus  was not bad for him--mostly a stuffy nose--but he has been vaccinated 3 times--

So, We have snow falling--AGAIN--

The picture of the Germans (as in dogs) -on the bike-- is from our daughter --She said, its our Germans in Heaven, riding their bikes--I hung them yesterday  in the spare bedroom-----------Lord love a Duck!-I must get moving--There is never a dull moment here!--

  1. Great with the weight loss. WTG. Good to hear that Lopez in on the dot this morning. It will happen. Cute story about the pillows. Husbands! I think they are all the same. They really don't like change. Love the picture of the dogs on the bicycle. And you have a beautiful spare room. Remind me the next time I come to see you, virtually of course, and I will stay there with you for a day or two. It will be a fun time and we can talk forever.

    2. Good luck with the pillow exchange, sometimes those tricks do work! Hoping your son recuperates from that dang Covid soon. Always something to worry about. Will you need bananas tomorrow?

  3. Great job on the continued weight loss. I remember those days when the pants needed to be pulled up! Isn't it a great feeling. I'm glad Lopez is cooperating today but you are very brave to be taking him out every 90 minutes in this cold and snow! My Daisy isn't too fond of the snow so she waits until she really needs to go out - I am thankful for that.

  4. So happy to hear Lopez is catching onto the bell system! Hurray!

Sorry to hear DS #2 is still positive. BUT glad he’s feeling better. Good he’s been vaccinated and boosted.

Awwww, love the cycling Gerans. Sweet!

  5. Hope the 90 min. intervals work. If not, perhaps going out every hour at first might help. And we always took the pups out on a leash to guide them to the exact same spot outside where they were supposed to do their business. And as soon as they did, they got an immediate small treat right there and then. I like those milk bone minis. Of course,we only had to deal with tons of snow during our living in Iowa. We moved. Getting to the same spot each outing might be hard for you up there in the winter bush!Housebreaking is definately much easier here in the southern US. We were almost 70 degrees here in Virginia Christmas day this year. I just tidied up my spare room yesterday and noted I need new pillows too. So have your son the pilot drop you and the wee one off here and we will get him trained up together sans snow. I am not the Queen but I have been in Buckingham palace and I drink tea. Maybe you could lower your standards and come see me. Oh, and bring the new pillow if himself wont use it! Cheerio. Marlene

  6. I just heard on the news that omicron is much milder...but much easier to catch. Glad your son has mild symptoms. So does my son-in-law. I don't know which variant...or the original...version that he has.

Bet you're happy the bell system is working.

The only pillow I use for sleeping is My Pillow. https://www.mypillow.com/

    Love your "posters," Lynda. They seem to be either inspiring, funny...or both! Hmm...some would say that describes you, too! {{{HUGS}}}

  7. The Germans in heaven picture is very special. Very nice guest room.

I laughed at your "new" pillow story. Slipping in one new pillow at a time on Fred's side will likely work. Fred won't notice. My husband is the same way. Hates change.

Congrats on weight loss. Saggy pants is a good thing.

Hoping, really hoping Lopez gets consistent with his business. If 90 minutes is what it takes to stop messes in the house then 90 min. And out he goes.

Hoping pilot son makes a speedy recovery.

    Have a great day.

  9. Love the picture of the Germans. Doing so well with the weight. Guess you'll have to buy some new clothes! Sorry son #2 is still positive. It's taking awhile considering he has had his 3 vaccinations. Maybe you'll get to see him in the summer.

  11. Keep taking care of yourself....keep losing....so proud of you.
    Glad #2 is feeling okay.
We are dodging tornadoes here tonight...
Like the pic and glad Lopez is getting himself improving with his potty problems.
    Happy New Year.

  12. That bell system just may do the trick over time. When we're home, full grown Benji likes to go out about every 2-2 1/2 hours to 'empty the tank'.
The picture of the Germans is precious! The first thing I noticed was the daybed - it looks so inviting. I must be tired, lol. 😂♥️♥️♥️

  13. The vaccination is keeping your son #2 out of the hospital, and with a mild case. Hope it passes quickly and the test starts coming up negative!
