Even the future has dreams-

The Real Estate Lady called this morning-- I am meeting Son#3 and we both are going to look at a smaller house, in town--himself and I do not wish to move yet--but by next Spring, I hope to !--So this will be a start-- This will be House #1--on our list-It's hard to believe  this is the start of our new beginning-I remember Mom and Dad moving here from Florida--They wanted to be near us as Mom had Addison's disease  and Dad wanted to be near family.   I flew to Florida--helped them get to the plane, then flew back here with them---thru Toronto--then Sudbury--and drove them  here to Elliot Lake. Mom never adjusted to living in a small town--was used to Orlando, Florida---and she lived only 5 months, after the move--Dad  survived quite a few yrs following her death, living in their little house with us helping him to get used to a winter again--  I remember that he found the outdoor winter clothing very heavy--
Here he was with Son#3, Son#2 and Himself, after we outfitted him with the cold climate gear!

ANYWAY---  LOPEZ IS OKAY---  The bleeding has stopped -rectally--stopped by noon yesterday-- He began to eat yesterday at supper--I was syringing water--then milk, down his throat all day yesterday, as he refused to drink or eat  until late afternoon. Man oh man-That is a lesson to me--BE CAREFUL  WHAT THESE WEE CHIHUAHUAS chew on-- One bone (even from the pet store) is not the same as another--I'll make sure I read that it is easily digestible and read what it is made of-I might not even allow him a bone-- I was very fortunate that I did not have a vet bill-

Yesterday I spent most of the day just holding him-I wanted his insides to heal-He was so cuddly--and very lethargic-and slept most of the day.-but--It sure was a day I don't want to repeat!

Of course, these pictures are of dim sum, taken by son#2 the Pilot, when he was in London, England-The guy who loves good food!
Presently he is "winging" his way back too Toronto---I'm always happy when he arrives hom
I must look at the next stage of our life as an adventure -eh?--  It' always good to keep looking ahead--Maybe the Queen will meet me one of these days! Ya never know! One must dream the dream!

  1. Getting a smaller home means less work, less worry, more time for you. It would be great if one of your sons would buy your home so the family can go there during the summer for swims, get togethers, etc. And you & Fred would enjoy going as guests, the work would all be done but not by you! What a sweet change!

I'm happy that Lopez is okay and yes, I'd been told when I had my Chihuahuas, to be careful what they chew on. Not much else you can do.

Love and many hugs to you, Fred and your fur babies xoxo

    1. Oh Gloria-- It was such a hard day yesterday --just knowing that Lopez was bleeding like that!I went to see that small house in town-- I don't believe Himself could adapt to it--I think it would be so hard for him -- I believe I will turn that place down-- Hard eh?-- If it was just me, I would take it--but--He would not get used to the change-Lynda

  2. I am so happy Lopez is fine now! They eat all kinds of stuff we'd rather they not! It could have been something outside on one of his walks, too.
I had dim sum once in Chinatown in Chicago. They brought stuff around for us to try. My brother-in-law took a bite of one thing, said it was good, asked the waiter what it was...the waiter said, "Monkey balls." My brother-in-law didn't eat any more of it!
It will be an adjustment to live in a smaller home, but Sadie may be relieved!

  4. From the dark valley to the mountain peak, you have had it all in the last couple of days. I hope you are able to find a home for you and Himself and the animals. It will definitely be a lot easier for you to manage things. I am soooo happy that Lopez is okay. I was praying for you and him yesterday. I pray for you and your family every day. Have a very blessed day. (Got my fingers crossed that you find a new home).

  5. I am so glad to hear that Lopez is feeling better. PHEW. These little ones can scare the life out of us, can’t they! Prayers answered.

OH my goodness! That Dim Sum looks absolutely wonderful.

Wishing you the best of luck on your trip w/the realtor. It’s a start. Have to begin somewhere, right! Less work for you is a GOOD thing.

  6. So happy Lopez is ok. And glad you escaped a vet bill. Always something.
The food pics are interesting. I've never tried those dishes.
I am totally DELIGHTED that you are taking the first steps in at least looking to downsize. If one of the kids buys your house you won't have to worry about getting rid of so much furniture. It could be a real win win for you. You definitely need less to take care of and you'd be closer to store etc. Doubt that same house will be available in the Spring, but its a start. Yay you. Let us know what you think. The Queen can find you if you move as everyone knows you.
Hot and very humid in St.Louis.
    Take care. Be safe.
    Hugs

  8. Great news that Lopez is better and you didn't have a vet bill. It is nice that you and Son #3 are checking out a smaller home. It will give you an idea of how much furniture that you will have to get rid of when you do move. Enjoy your day.

  9. I'm so glad that Lopez is ok. What a scare. And I know how expensive that can be - vets here know how to charge. It will be interesting to start looking at other homes to get an idea of how different it would be to live somewhere else. Good luck. Any chance one of your sons might buy your current house?

  10. Such great news that Lopez is okay! I prayed he would be. And avoiding a vet bill is a bonus! They can almost break the bank 🤪 Lynda, downsizing would be awesome for you and Himself. Your life would be so much easier. I like the idea of another commenter that maybe one of your sons would buy your house and yall could keep it in the family. Hope things work out smoothly when the time comes. Hugs ❤️

  11. Very happy Lopez is well. Glad for the start of a new adventure! Yes! Delicious food. I flew to Florida to bring my parents back to Costa Rica. My dad was in his final stage of a kidney chronic disease. Once here, he lasted 7 months. So sad.

  12. So glad Lopez is doing better today. Hoping he continues to heal. We have thought about downsizing on main home but love the size of the lot and the house. It is tempting to close off the lower level but the steps up into the main area could be our down fall. I hope you guys find what makes you very happy. Hugs.

  13. Well, I went to look at the house--I think we are better where we are presently--I doubt Himself could adapt to the smaller one I saw to-day-- Its a difficult decision Eileen-Lynda
