Two cards are better than one!

"--  I was mortified--I was getting bananas --from No Frills--  I used my Master Card --- It was "rejected"-

It sure didn't seem right--Anyway, back to our bank I went--transferred money to our other account--went back to No Frills--and paid for the groceries---  When I got home, I called the Master Card people and after waiting on the line for over an hour, I was told that it is a Nation wide Black out----I've never heard of that---  so --it was not my fault--but--forever and for always, I'll carry my other card with me--- which would not have helped me at No Frills as they only accept Master Card--

I am late posting, but I still wanted to let yu all know, Don't Use Your Master CARD----at least for to-day-

Time for a wee nap--It is hot outside -We have the AC running-- We really do need rain-----  I miss you all--  hope that your day is going better than mine is--LOLOL---   I really do need a wee nap---

  2. Yikes! What a way to start the day AND not thru any fault of yours…
never heard of a nation wide blackout, either…makes me wonder IF they are having security issues that they are attempting to fix?!
Hope you feel better after your wee nap! ❤️ Eissa7

That is so strange. There was a major blackout concering credit cards a couple of weeks ago but I thought that was all taken care of. I was shopping this morning and used my Mastercard, which is the only card I have, and had no problem at all. They must have gotten it all fixed up between when you were there and when I was there. I don't go ot as early as you do. Glad it didn't happen to me or they could have just put everything back!

  6. Wonder if that's just Canada or everywhere? My only MC is a Sam's Club MC, and I only use it for gas unless Sam's is running a special where you get extra points or something. I bought gas yesterday, so I'm good for now. Did they hold your grocery cart, or did you have to re-pick everything?? :)

  8. That's very upsetting! I'm sorry you went through that. I hope the rest of the day is a nice one. Wishing you some quality rain.

  9. I've never heard of a nationwide blackout on a credit card company. They must have had some kind of breach and are trying to resolve it while keeping their customers safe. It's been a really long time since I've had a Master Card. Glad you were able to figure it out so you could pay for your shopping!

  10. I had not heard that about the M/c.............speaking of that I need to go get some bananas.......hope all is well...and you are now playing something beautiful.....my aunt wanted me to take organ lessons, with my very long fingers....and I never got the chance. Wouldn't have mattered, her husband never gave me the organ or china as he was supposed to.

  11. Oh, my...Master Card outage? I never heard of it either. Around here almost all stores take all the cards...they just want money?
I gotta get bananas, too. I do have watermelon, just finished cantaloupe, got red seedless grapes and a peach left yet. Nature's fruit. Oh, also raisins and dates. Forgot the dried fruit. And little cups of applesauce.
A nap sounds good on a hot day with the cool air blowing.
It's late here so I'll be turning in soon. Window open with a box fan in front of it turned on low.

  12. Oh my goodness! Didn't know about the M/C outage! Got a notification yesterday that our retirement acct. registered ZERO, nada, empty. WHAT!????? Lord -- after getting the heart started again, called our banker and found out there was a company wide glitch, but it was fixed and all was well. Holy heart attack (almost!)

Glad you got your mystery w/the M/C solved and thanks for sharing the information.

    hugs
