Everything is better in the morning!

Good day to you! ---  Isn't the above so true?-- Well, we got the frig in--but, guess what?--It was a tight fit--AND RIGHT BESIDE OUR built in oven----which I hear is not a good idea!  It will make the compressor  on the new frig work harder.-Have you heard of that?-- The old frig lasted a long time and it was right beside the oven----  There is no other place to put this frig! --
See what I mean?---  Lord love a duck! --
The neighbour lifted the cupboard above this frig- ---  He took it to his shop, cut it, and it looks good.

So that is done---Last night however, I went to turn off the TV in the living room, and as I was half asleep, I hit the wrong button on one of the 2 remotes and lost the picture and the sound-I could not figure out how to fix it-- and--I WANTED TO CRY--How on earth could I have been so stupid--  Finally I just made sure it was "off" and went to bed---This morning , in bed, before getting up, all I could think about was "How on earth am I ever going to fix that TV?"--Well, there is a God in Heaven, because when I got up, after feeding animals, I sat down and picked up the 2 remotes, and voila, I fixed it----  I guess everything looks better in the morning eh?--

So, I am off to get bananas ---and a watermelon--  and it is going to rain---  hugs--

  1. The residual heat from the oven will make the refrigerator run but only when cooking. It will last as long as you need it to. Especially, if you are thinking to downsize in the near future. It will be fine. Have a happy, healthy new week, Lynda!:)

  2. Lynda, we joked about me - 'Murphy's Law, if anything is going to go wrong, it will happen to Gloria!" LOL We do things at night when we're tired, but those same things work out in the morning.

I would imagine if all went well with the old fridge in that same place, then the same will apply to the new fridge.

Get me some bananas too? I go grocery shopping tomorrow but would love a banana this morning. Oh well. :)

Love & hugs coming to you, Fred and your fur babies xoxo

  4. So nice that you got the refrigerator tucked into place. Your cabinets look exactly like the ones I have at our lake house in the Ozarks. That house was built in 1985. My refrigerator here at home is right next to my built in double ovens......but I don't think it has been a problem. Now that I have an air fryer, I don't use my ovens as much. And my kids got the air fryer for me - your kids' gift choices made me chuckle. And it is good that you are buying bananas today! I try to eat one every day! Lastly, know that you are not alone in your remote troubles! I struggle with the darn things too! How much simpler life was when we just had to turn the TV on or off and adjust the volume! LOL!

  5. Fridge looks good. Hope there is enough room at the back for it to "breathe" - figure the carpenter would look after that though. Remotes are a pain. I've had that too. Many of those types of things will straighten out when turned off and back on a bit later - like my iphone!

  6. Definitely today is a standing behind my Himself and rolling the eyes. LOL

Oh my, yes, the stove and fridge are quite close to each other! Beautiful fridge/freezer, though!

So glad that you got the TV working again. It is so aggravating! BUT sometimes our hand is guided to do something that put it right again! And then try to figure out what you did . . . never am I able to. LOL Just glad when it works again! DH will say, “Well you must have hit a button to make it do (whatever).” Well, maybe, but lord knows what button or buttons!

  7. This is paceka1. For some reason I can't seem to log in to my google account today - I feel like you did last night. Your kitchen looks great! In my mom's house the fridge was right next to the oven and they bot lasted a very long time!

  8. The kitchen looks so nice with your new fridge. My stove and fridge are side by side and I haven't had any problems. It must feel good to be back to normal again. Enjoy your day.

  9. I am glad the nightmare of the frig is solved! Looks like it sticks out a bit from the oven. Maybe that will make it not absorb so much heat. It will have air to it. Don't know if I explained what I meant to...but I am sure you get it.
Isn't it great to have helpful neighbors?
Re the tv. Don't think of yourself as stupid, hon. In each moment we do what we think we must do. Turns out...you were guided in how to fix it. You followed your intuition as to what to do with the remotes, right? That's guidance from 'above.' (or wherever you want to think it comes from).

  12. I went to get bananas today, too, and thought of you. Glad the fridge is fit in, hope it and the oven become friends, over time! And I agree about things looking better in the morning!

  13. Good morning, Lynda,
It has been awhile since I read your blogs. I get busy and it doesn't automatically come to my e-mail, so I forget. Happy to see you got a new frig and everything is back in place, life is good. Dan & I are doing good. It was very humid here in Michigan but the rest of the week it is supposed to be cooler and not so humid. My garden is doing well and picking things before the deer get to them. I am still at the same weight. How are you doing? Well better get going have a good day!

  14. I forgot to add if the kids hired a lawn service for you, that would be a gift for you and Himself....
Everytime I go to the store and buy bananas or some kind of fruit I think of you.
