Lopez very sick

 It never rains but it pours--  Lopez, the Chihuahua is passing blood--from his rectum-- At 3am it was dark red-with mucous--  By 5am it was a lighter colour red and now it is a pinkish colour- with mucous-AND--he threw up around 3am--all his dinner from last night---all over me and his bed--

I have been up since 3am--I have called our vet twice-- He asked what he had eaten--Himself and I think pieces of a synthetic bone, that he was chewing yesterday, must've broken off and pierced his intestines, And--It was FROM THE PET STORE!----Of course it is Sunday , so the vet said to just watch him to-day--Lord love Duck! This poor little guy is  a lot of work--I'll keep yu all posted-- Gotta go and check on him--

  8. I'm so sorry for you. Chihuahuas are usually tough little dogs and this will probably pass but we aren't! I hope he'll fully heal. And it had to be on a weekend! That happens to me all the time too. ((hugs))

  9. I'm so sorry about little Lopez. My little Daisy loves those Dingo rawhide bones with the red in the middle but I had to stop giving them to her because she was starting to throw up every so often and it was red-colored. You must be so worried! I'll say a little healing prayer for little Lopez!

  11. Oh Lynda, I am so sorry to hear about little Lopez. Praying for his healing and for you to have all you need to deal with this serious situation. I guess it was good the vet was not the concerned but I would be going nuts and shedding tons and tons and tons of tears.

    Be extra good to yourself today and just sit and hold Lopez. Praying himself handles this situation without any problems.

    You are in my thoughts, prayers, and heart. Keep us posted. Wish I was there to give you a hug and help but I live on the opposite side of your country and in the US so I am no help.

  13. Poor baby...poor the rest of you, too, worried about him (except maybe Sushi). Yes, please let us know what happens. Hopefully, the vet can see him tomorrow.
    Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes for us last evening.
    Hope all goes well for you, and that is your only current problem. 'Course, it is a big one (pun intended) {{{HUGS}}}

  15. Hope Lopez is doing better and you've stopped crying, It may be a good sign that the vet did not suggest he should go to an emergency clinic and could wait until tomorrow. Take care and let us know how things go.
