Believe that you can do it!

It is a weekend---  AND----I will try to get some groceries--bananas--- after I feed Watson, Son#1's cat-- Will it ever be wonderful when he gets home! ---

Yesterday our accountant called---I have been dreading it--  because we usually have to pay taxes--Well, guess what?  This year , only "I" have to pay, not Himself--  and I had put aside an amount in case we both had to pay---and---so,   I PAID MY TAXES -

--Oh Lord love a Duck! I believe there really is a God up in Heaven. The exact amount I had set aside,  is what I had to pay--  Can yu believe that?---You know all this "tax" stuff was on my mind--  When will the accountant call?--  This was our first year with Himself retired and I had no idea what the gov't would demand.----All that worrying for nothing-

It really is a crappy day out there-- freezing rain is falling---- The weatherman predicted rain all week--  April showers bring May flowers----so i'm told!

You know, that little voice in the head continues to cry out to me-- that  can I do all the stuff that has become a part of my life?--I still question  that voice---It seems that many of us, (Women)-are left to pick up the pieces, as we age---  I must believe that I can do it--because, that's the only way  I'm going to get it done----  That's what the above says---STRONG WOMEN we  must be!

When will I learn to stop worrying--

  3. Whew! Such a relief to find the taxes are covered by what you set aside, isn't it? I feel the same way when I do my taxes (done a month or so ago) and it turns out I had set aside "enough".

Hope you have a good weekend, and the strength to do all of those "to-do's".

  4. We file our taxes jointly here in the States and this year we had to pay. I would rather have my money all year and pay than have them have it and get a refund . . .but that is just me I am sure. Lots of people like to get big refunds not realizing the gov't has had your money all the past year. Headed to the grocery myself. . . I usually go during the week because it is less busy but this week got away from me.

  5. Glad that your taxes are paid. I ALWAYS dread the results of the paperwork telling us what we owe. BUT done for another year!

Glad Watson has you to watch over him!

Here's to better weather. We had rain, rain, rain all day yesterday. Today . . . some sun. Will send it your way!

  6. Hot, muggy, very windy here in Central Texas. The wind gusts last night snapped the stems on some of our beautiful Amaryliss blooms.

Snow and sleet at a friend's in Indiana crushed all their Spring blooms this past week.

Our annual neighborhood garage sale is today as well as five neighboring subdivisions. Seems it should be called yard sale or driveway sale since the stuff goes outdoor. No matter. I didn't round up stuff so no sales. Too many allergens whipping around in the wind for me to bother with sitting outside.

We have rain predicted for Monday which is sorely needed since Central Texas is in a drought.

    Take care.

  7. You're right, Lynda. What we experience in life is due to our beliefs. If we don't like something, we can change our belief about it, cuz a belief is just a thought we continue to think. Let's think the best.

Hope Watson's family returns soon. They probably miss him, too.

It's cloudy here, but will be almost 70F today! Spring is springing.

I have 2 bananas left. They are on the verge of being unusable. Never made a smoothie, but I'm thinking of trying it. Have strawberries and pineapple, too and almond milk...

  10. I'm with you I'm having a hard time to stop worrying Life will be what it will be and my worry doesn't change a thing. I'm glad that the money you set aside will pay the taxes you owe. Tax day is not my favorite day!

  12. Seems odd you have to pay taxes when you are not working.
The tax system is truly unfair.
