Nothing worth having comes easy!

Now isn't that the truth?---sorta like living a healthy lifestyle---when all around you are  temptations-------trying to stay sane in a complicated world--going out in public and wearing a  mask so I can stay healthy----practicing at the piano so one day I might play for the resident dogs--eating all last weeks vegetables quickly,  so they don't get all wilt-y in the frig---keeping my mouth shut when someone I live with does not hear me after repeating what I had to say 1023 times----  Lord love a Duck! It takes the patience of Jobe--(Mom's expression of course)_

The world here is trying to be spring-like--Some birds have returned  and the snow is  fading back from the trees --- even the water from all the rain we had, has vanished into the ground. But the lakes are still frozen so geese will not head North, until the lakes are open.---No Hummingbirds here either!

Himself had a good day yesterday--And when he has a good day, I have a good day--I have walked wee Lopez to the corner and he did his business----and Sushi was in to visit me in the night two times--  I think she gets cold in the night--jumps over Himself and plods across the bed and sits on my chest--- and if I don't hear hear her on the bed, she comes up behind my head on the pillow and pulls my hair until I reach for her.

So, you might say, that all is well on the western front-- (another of Mom's expressions)_ and---  OH--=- I nearly forgot--I did get my hair done yesterday--Whatta treat----It makes one feel like a Queen!--And it is worth coming home to all the chaos that I had to go thru to get out!

Life is short--Be nice to yourself! NOTHING WORTH HAVING COMES EASY!--for sure! ---I can do this!

  2. Happy to hear you had a good day Lynda. Nice that Himself had a good day too. The grass is turning green here and it's time to get the bird houses put up. Won't be long now until you have the same. Covid is rampant here so keep wearing your mask. I will get my 4th shot as soon as it's time, the end of the month I think. Take care, stay safe.

  3. It is nice to hear that you both had a good day yesterday. It seems that all three of your pets are now settled in. It took Sushi a long time but it sounds like she feels comfortable now. I am glad you had your hair done as it does make you feel special and you are special to everyone. Enjoy your day.

  4. OHhhhh yes, living w/our retired Himself’s requires a LOT of patient, maybe even MORE than Job’s.

So nice you got your hair done. You NEED pampering!

  5. So the geese don't come back until the ice melts! Didn't know that. Hopefully it melts soon and the weather gets better. Glad himself was better yesterday. How's Beau today? Is he still keeping his distance? At least you were able to get your hair done.

  6. People around here have been hearing the peepers and that is a good sign of Spring. Happy to hear that yesterday was better for everyone and you were able to get out for a hairdo. I go every 5 weeks for a cut. Your Mom and mine must have learned the same expressions. . . .my Mom used to say a lot of the same things as yours. Have a great weekend. We go for our 4th shots on Monday.

  8. Glad to hear yesterday was better and that you got out for me time.
Our mothers had the same expressions.
That snow and ice HAS to leave soon. Today we have snow flurries down here GROAN.
Be well and safe. Relax a bit and play your piano. I understand the frustrations of retirement..especiallybwith a profound hearing and vision loss as my himself. Definitely impacts the cognitive. Job would have issues some days lol
    Be safe.

  10. Patience is a virtue and I sometimes find myself lacking that quality.
I have been hearing the spring peepers and the red wing blackbirds in my area. The geese and ducks are more plentiful than they were during the winter. The rivers here did not freeze over this past winter so many of them stayed around.
It is good that your household had a good day yesterday and that Beau has put the trauma behind him. Yay that Lopez is doing his business when you go for walks and I assume when you go out with him in the yard.
Have a good rest of your evening.

  11. I love it when you write about your pets. It's been awhile since I've seen anything about your purrfect kitty.

Isn't it fun (relaxing, too) to get your hair done?

    Spring is here! No longer going below freezing at night. Soon my favorite flowers will be blooming...lilacs. I might just send you a big bouquet! {{{HUGS}}}
