More bananas ----

Isn't the above so true?-- Anyway, I was out buying groceries--Bananas ---I realize too, that this Friday, is "Good Friday" and the stores will be closed. I got there early so the store was not crowded-----I am, so happy to have replenished the food supply in the house for another couple of weeks-- $167.00 --not too bad---  And Himself seems to have managed at home here with Lopez.

The temperature  is up to 20C  , outside --warm---sunny--but I see by my phone , that we have a weather alert coming in for the next couple of days with mega rain.

I am receiving all kinds of pictures on my phone, of Hawaii. Son#3 and his family, as you know, are there. This is Waimea Beach--And because Son#3 is part Chinese, he has been sending multi pictures of food and then all the rest of us drool over those pictures.
Here is a picture of Trippler Army Medical Hospital, where our daughter, a nurse, met her husband, a Doctor .---  Himself and I were in that Hospital when their first child was born. That was another story--- Have any of you tried to enter an American Army hospital, in the U. S., when yu are not from the U.S.?--

I watch the news from Ukraine and am so tempted to invite the people from there, to come and live in our massive home. I find it so hard to believe that in to-day's world, these people are going through this!

Will everything really work out for the best?--I need faith!

  2. Glad your grocery trip went well and that Himself and Lopez got along while you were gone. Easter is upon us, already!

Can't say as I've ever tried to enter a US Army Hospital... even as a US Citizen! But I'll bet it is covered in red-tape, thinking of the time I went to watch my son's basic training graduation on an Army Base... a thorough search of the car, including running mirrors along its undercarriage!

So let's keep the faith and pray for the world, eh? And breathe the air and pet the dogs!

  3. I agree with the banana sign you posted. I stopped and got a few today too.
I can't imagine what it would be like for a Canadian citizen to try to get in an Army hospital. But, you did it.
The Hawaii pictures are wonderful. The pictures of food, well your turn will come to see Hawaii again.
Storms here tomorrow too. At least its a bit warmer at your house.
We have to keep faith and hope.
    Have a great day.

  4. My friend and her family just spent a week in Hawaii and posted so many beautiful photos! I'm glad your son and his family are enjoying themselves. My husband and I just did our grocery shopping and spent over $200 - maybe we're going to have to go on a diet!!!

  5. Hawaii looks so nice - probably as close as I'll ever get. It is gorgeous here today but rain is supposed to start this evening and rain much of the time from now to the end of the weekend. It's supposed to snow a lot further up north this weekend but probably further north than you hopefully. Glad himself did ok with Lopez. That hospital looks really large - it's a wonder you could meet anyone there!

  6. Darling, of course things will work out. The Ukrainian people will be happier where they end up. Sad for them that they had to leave so much behind, though.

After reading this...I've gotta eat one of my bananas..they're almost dead/

    The beach in Hawaii photo is where I'd love to be! {{{HUGS}}}

  7. Yes, life today definitely takes a lot of faith. **SIGH**

It really is disconcerting that the things going on in Ukraine are happening. So many prayers for them.

  8. Glad you found the bananas, what is their magical hold, anyway? Is it a Chinese thing?
Glad you could get away to shop.

  9. Oh, how I'd love to go back to Hawaii, at least, in theory. My mom and I took an expensive 5 island tour back in the early 80's, it felt like I was in a dream the entire time, so heavenly. But were I to go back, it would be different. I'm now heat intolerant and I would probably roast. In summer, I have to stay in air conditioning.
