"Just Breathe"

We don't have sunshine yet--but-- it is NOT raining! YEAH!!!  Yesterday, while walking Lopez, I saw 2 robins in our gully --Our property  is surrounded by a gully on 2 sides--- Whenever we have to chop down a tree, or I have stuff raked from the lawn, it all goes into the gully--anything which is disposable! I don't know how people survive without a "gully".

So, to-morrow is the day Lopez goes in for his surgery--I am not going to worry---I am not worrying-(LOL--as if eh?)--  Lord love a Duck! Lopez is so small, I hope it all goes well- I pick him up in the afternoon.----Yesterday , son #3 came out to trim both Lopez and big Beau's nails--He also took his dogs, plus Beau and Lopez down our hill to the lake, and Beau went into the lake.  The lake is open about 10 ft from the shore. This is the most dangerous time for dogs , near the lake as there still is ice. I never go down there this time of year , until the ice is gone and the lake is open.

Son #2 is enroute to LAX---and Son#1 and his family will be returning from Jamaica. I have 1 more day to feed Watson, his cat. Praise the Lord!

Himself needs quite a bit of care --He doesn't think so, of course, but, I do keep catching him outside in his slippers-- definitely NOT a good thing! For such a smart man, I am always bewildered how all his "smarts" just exit his brain  right now. He continues to tell Me how to "back up the car"--- "How to do everything" however--I guess it is a "leftover" from his Doctoring days when he advised his patients how to live healthy.

Now isn't the above the truth?--- "Just Breathe"----  Everything will work out for the best!

  1. Yes Lynda, just breathe as everything will work out as it should.
Beau in the lake already...wow...that has to be cold.
Lopez will be fine. No worries.
Sounds like your boys will be back soon. No more going down to take care of Watson.
Yes, himself is used to telling others what to do...currently, thats you.
Relax, breathe, play your piano as we ALL LOVE THAT.
    Have a peaceful day.
    Hugs

  3. Wishing for everything to go well for Lopez and his surgery tomorrow. Himself does not control himself anymore, not on purpose, anything can happen now. I guess you are as prepared as anyone can be now. Take care.

  4. Same here! NO sun but finally no rain!

Nice that Son #3 took the boys down to the pier. Wasn’t it cold for big Beau?? Awwww, little Lopez looks adorable curled up on the pillow snoozing. They look so innocent, don’t they!

Good luck to you and little Lopez on surgery day. They’ll take good care of him.

    Safe flying to son #2.

(((HUGS))) Hard to deal when Himself’s mental status keeps changing. Glad you’re finding him, though, when he’s outside in his slippers. Yes, just have to breathe and have faith. NOT easy.

  5. Lopez looks so tiny. Hope all goes well tomorrow. The water must have been awful cold for Beau! We're supposed to get a lot of rain today starting this afternoon. Don't think it's going to northern Ont. Love the sayings at the bottom of your blog. It's so true.

  6. We used to have a Chesapeake Bay Retriever who liked to swim in the river near our old house when the ice was still floating in chunks . . . I was cold watching her do it. No rain here until tomorrow. . . on my way out to fertilize the lawn so it gets washed in. Thinking of you and Little Lopez tomorrow.

  7. Good Morning Lynda, The weather yesterday went from sunshine with +25C to a thunderstorm in the late afternoon. Just Crazy. Don't let Lopez go near the water yet, he is just too little. I'm sure he will do fine tomorrow with his surgery. Be careful Himself doesn't get too close to the water as well. Now don't worry, be happy!

  9. You surely have been busy of late, watching over every one / thing that needs watching over! Hope your son and his family have safe travels home from Jamaica, and I'm sure Watson will give his list of commentary on how Grandma took care of him with the radio and all!

I'm sure Lopez will come through just fine. Those vets know what they are doing, and after all, they do procedures on animals a good deal smaller even than Lopez, don't they?

    Hugs to you and yours!
