Yesterday , "Hair Day"---was SO SO good--just to get out and away from the house, and to speak to people , and then to arrive home, feeling like a "Queen"--well--sorta---and Himself managed quite well with little Lopez. I showed him how to allow little Lopez out into the living room, BUT WATCH HIM_-watch that he doesn't chew the rug or choke on whatever---Big Beau kind of babysits him--He adores big Beau---When I arrived back home, all had gone well-
Son #3 begins his long trip back home to-morrow, from Hawaii , and Son#1, leaves for Jamaica . I have the privilege of looking after his cat, Watson, while he is away. Watson was named after Himself''s father. Funny how people name their pets after family members who have passed-- My brother has a dog called , "Olive", named after my Dad's sister. My Mom, --her name was "Ila"--had a dog named after her--Himself and I tend to call our animals names of food---How on earth did I ever get onto this?-
-I stepped onto the scalers this A.M., and the weight is --UP---Lord love a duck! --Well, I guess I kinda sorta try, and that really isn't good enough--so, I really will get rid of the "KINDA"---- and the "SORTA" trying , and try harder---'specially in the evening in that easy chair, after dinner--
Wow! You got out, pampered AND Big Beau, little Lopez, Sushi and Himself did all right! HURRAY! That is a good day.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to sons #1 and #3!

Amazing eh?---- They ALL survived!--LOL-- It feels good to get out--even if it is just to town-Lynda
DeleteI have always enjoyed seeing lady bugs and now I know why. Happy to hear that everything went well when you went to your hair appointment. Have a relaxing day.
ReplyDeleteLady Bugs --- I thought that was quite interesting too- Hope all is good with you-Lynda
DeleteGlad you got your hair done, and all went well with Himself as pet sitter! Safe travel for your boys! I’ve got sciatica problems, trying to get a doctor appt.
ReplyDeleteOh that sciatica is terrible-- I find I can walk it out --- When I don't walk it gets worse-- Lynda
DeleteMy niece had trouble pronouncing L's when she was fairly young and she would get excited whenever she saw a Yadybug so we all call them that now.
ReplyDeletethat is cute--a Yadybug-- Lynda*S*
DeleteGlad to hear himself held down the fort
ReplyDeletesuccessfully while you got pampered.
Love the Ladybug piece.
Safe travels for sons.
I hear ya with the try harder when it comes to evenings and the easy chair. We'll keep plugging away.
Have a relaxing day.
Hugs
Himself his learning--as is Lopez--It sure feels good to get away tho--Lynda
DeleteHawaii sounds like an amazing place to be while Spring temperatures change to warmer. Lucky your son! Very happy for the good self-time at your hairdresser. Have a lovely Easter Weekend.
ReplyDeletePatricia--- He seems to be enjoying his trip--only a week tho--beautiful beaches-Lynda
DeleteHappy Easter weekend to you, Himself and the pets! Happy you had a great day out...I know it means soo much 💖 Safe travels to your sons/families. Spring is HERE 🌺
ReplyDeleteI do wish it was warmer here--- We had snow off and on all day-- It is a crazy spring!--Lynda
DeleteNice weather here in NH so I was outside doing some Springtime tasks . . . the sun felt so nice even though it was breezy. You get your hair done every week? I only go every 5 weeks for a cut. My mother used to get hers done every week when she was working.
ReplyDeleteYu know, it is my one splurge for myself-- I go to a Ladies home --I wash it before I go and she colours it, sometimes--and cetus it--my one treat! --LOL--Lynda
DeleteI loved the aside about the naming of pets... I supposed it's better to name them after loved ones than after a TV Show? (The Prisoner, my cat, is named after the Patrick McGoohan series by that name).
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Easter and that your sons have safe, smooth travels.
it is comical how pets are named-- nice to hear from yu Barb!-Lynda
DeleteSafe travels to your sons. Nice to get out for yourself especially when everything goes well while you're out. I like the ladybug piece too. Just keep trying with the weight. Overall you have done very good lately. Happy Easter
ReplyDeleteBrenda___ Happy Easter too you-- Hugs Lynda
DeleteI always tend to name my pets after names I would have named my kids - I never had any kids. Except for one dog we named Muffin b/c she was blonde, the color of a toasted English Muffin. And I go by names that sound comforting to me - Muff, it sounds good, Tucker - you tuck someone in, etc.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Easter!
I have white Daisy's in my back flower garden that faithfully come back every year (if the rabbits don't eat them). The summer we were going to get my Daisy I was trying to think of a good name for her and I saw those lovely Daisy's blooming so beautifully. So she is my little Daisy always! Happy Easter! It feels more like Christmas here but there's hope that by the end of next week we just might have spring!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Lynda, I never heard of food named Beau, Lopez or Tess. I've had Sushi, though ;-)
ReplyDeleteWish I could get my hair done every month...sometimes I trim it myself as I don't like it hanging in my eyes or tickling my ears.
Seems all of you had a good day. I'm glad!
The weight will come off if you believe it will!
Happy Easter! Happy Spring! {{{HUGS}}}
