It is a new day--- YEAH!!! --We have had light snow overnight-- I was supposed to travel to Sudbury Friday, which is 2 hours away by car, to see the Eye Doctor, but we are supposed to have sleet and snow that day, so, I cancelled that trip.---- I spoke to the Eye Clinic there, and I was told that the visit was for tests only--that I would not see the eye doctor---- It seems like a lot of trouble for me to get there, leaving Himself here , and getting a sitter for Lopez-- just not worth all the trouble. It's too bad they don't take all that into consideration when the appointment is booked--- It's a 2 hr trip at the best of times--So, I cannot change things at this point---- hopefully the trip could be done in the summer, or early fall--You jess never know eh??--
Son#2, the air Canada Pilot, is back in Toronto--I am always happy to hear he has landed and all is well. He is "Captain Son#2 " now--a big step up on the Dreamliner !---
Sadie, that cleaning Lady is coming to-day-- (who , as you know, is really me!)-- Sadie had to change her cleaning schedule because of doing receipts for the accountant--I can never clean the whole house at once, but if I do a few rooms at a time, it keeps the dust down--It is a never-ending job!---
So far, Himself and I, have managed to avoid that new variant of Covid--I see our hospitals are filling up once again tho, with this new variant---- Yesterday at the grocery store (at 8am by the way) most people wore masks--Grocery shopping makes me so tired--I think it's the worrying--Will I pick up Covid?--or--Will I not?
It really is "ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY" isn't it?---- helping others--- remaining sane in a very troubled world, keeping healthy--- thinking thin thoughts-- --and ---learning to let things you can't control, go--
I have been cleaning a room a day the past week and it really needed it. I just can't bring myself to a whole day of cleaning like I used to. Weather is nice here today but rain is supposed to start tomorrow and last for days. Yuk. April Showers bring May Flowers though. Have fun cleaning.
ReplyDelete--A room a day is good-- That is what Sadie does-- Hugs-Lynda
DeleteI continue to wear my mask and distance, Lynda. Covid is still with us!
ReplyDeleteA long trip to take, especially when you have to leave Fred and Lopez alone. Those kind of appts are best made in nicer weather.
Ohh, those dust bunnies are never ending, they cover everything every single day! I love the name of your cleaning lady, lol, I'd like a Sadie here too.
Love & lots of hugs coming to you, Fred and all your fur babies. xoxo
Gloria--I absolutely love hearing from yu-----Lopez continues to be a handful--but--I do love the wee fella---a lot! He does his business outside almost all the time--even in bad weather-- I shall tell Sadie to go to yer house-Lynda
DeleteGive Sadie plenty of breaks.
ReplyDeleteMoving the eye appt. seems like the right thing to do. Very long trip and leaving Fred, plus a sitter for Lopez involves lots of planning.
Mask up.
One day SOON your weather has to change.
Hapoy Captain pilot son is safely back.
Hugs dear lady.
I know--Son #2 is THE CAPTAIN Nice for him!-- Who would think eh that this wee boy who was such a handful as a 3 yr old--wud fly this huge plane?-- now on the Dreamliner-- Hugs-Lynda
DeleteIt is all about the journey. I love your last sign as it is so true. Take care and have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI like that last sign too--Lynda
DeleteUnder the circumstances, I think I would have made the same decision as you and not travel 2 hrs. for that appointment. Wise decision.
ReplyDeleteThat’s awesome that son #2 is now CAPTAIN son #2! Quite an accomplishment.
I have to say, I USED to love going to the grocery store. Just liked looking @ the variety of things available. Now . . . I feel like the quicker I can get in and out the better. Fortunately, most of my needs are produce, and that is situation as you enter the store, so I can get in and out quickly.
Yes, now there are new variants of the Delta variant’s variant (the B.2 variant.) They are dubbed XD, XE and XF. XE has been identified in the UK (but I am sure it’s more places than just there.) XE is a mix of the BA.1, and BA.2. It is said to be maybe 10% more contagious than the BA.2. But statistics are still in the early stages. Time will tell!
Positive thoughts!

That is a lot of variants----I used to enjoy shop[ping also--but-- not so much now-always love to read yer comments Barb-Lynda
DeleteYou were smart to cancel your eye appointment - that's a very long way to go in bad weather! We were suppose to have rain all day today but I see lots of very large snow flakes. Nothing that will stay on the ground but I'm very happy I decided not to go to the gym today! It's a good day to stay inside!
ReplyDeleteand my critter is OK with the change too-- Shecsaid she will drive me in June--Lynda
DeleteBe sure to tell "CAPTAIN son #2) that I sent my Congratulations. I know he really has to be sharp to be Captain. We do appreciate all the rides to your various birthday parties Lynda.
ReplyDeleteCaptain Young-- Quite an honour -- and he is a good guy--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteLiving my life from a wheelcair there are many things I cannot do but I do not dwell on the things I cannot do. I think about all the things I am still able to do and I consider myself blest. No sense worring about things over which I have no control. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteYu are so right Willow and good for yu--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteI agree with you. The people assigning appointments should consider how far we live and all the problems we have to deal with for assisting to it. Glad your son is back. Stay on the safe side of life.
ReplyDeleteThey should take into consideration that we have drive far--I agree-- Lynda
DeleteMore bad weather for you! Spring will come someday. Can't you get the tests done in town and sent to the specialist at the hospital? Congrats to son #2 - quite the accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteBetter safe than a trip to Sudbury! Take care.
ReplyDeleteI know and I agree-- Hugs too yu too-Lynda
DeleteYou made the right decision to cancel your appointment for now. You will feel more up to it later on. Enjoy your week and don't work too hard!:) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteaww--Thank yu--Lynda
DeleteI'm with you on not making that trip, under the circumstances. Pace yourself and enjoy the journey. Sadie needs a raise, eh?
