Choose to be Optimistic to-day!

SUNDAY--- WooWoo! -a day of rest--AND---It is St. Patricks Day--- green beer--- a green river---Dad used to say, "The luck of the Irish" --altho we were not Irish--Scottish----

-AND----  GUESS WHAT? ---  I only have 2 dogs--- Son#3 picked his 2 up---  and  it's hard to believe, but big Beau is back to his old calm self-- Do you think that keeping 4 dogs in our house was just too chaotic for Beau?--He is not peeing in the house-- He seems relaxed--He ate---  hard to believe that a dog could just  not put up with so much stress---- He seems happy-- relaxed---Poor fellow eh?--- I am happy that I took the extra 2 pooches , and that son#3 was able to get out of town and take his family on a vacation--I know that he needed that time away--

Imagine if we loved each other, the way our pets love us!

We had a few snow flurries this morning--  Did you know that this is the final weekend of winter? --Do you realize that this coming Tuesday is the first day of Spring?

We used to chant: "Spring has sprung, The grass has riz-- I wonder where the Boidies iz?--- The Boid is on the wing, But that's Absoid, I thought the wing was on the Boid!" ----and then, we would laugh  like crazy children--

It is a good day to have a good day----Choose Joy---Relax-----Read a bit-----and above all, hug the ones you love-- You never know what others are going thru do we?---  Just look at big Beau--He tried to tell me but I didn't listen very well---

Son #2 the Pilot is winging his way back to Toronto, from Britain--  He said all he ate were fish and chips so took no pictures--told me his mini car was hit by a garbage truck while it was parked in an alley--and is a complete write off---I think that has upset him-- Pilots  are always happier in the sky I believe!

Be Optimistic to-day----It just feels better doesn't it?---

  1. Happy St. Patrick's Day! My late husband's grandparents immigrated here from Ireland! We got to visit lots of his cousins over in Ireland a couple of years ago! It was wonderful! I usually make corned beef and cabbage for my kids, but this year they are all busy doing other things so I won't be making it just for myself!

So glad Beau is acting back to his normal self! Love the picture of him!

I am happy that Spring is just around the corner. And yes to your meme - I Choose Joy! I find myself repeating it to myself often!

  2. So glad Beau seems back to his old self! He is a grandpa age, too much excitement with new family members coming to stay. Poor son in England and car accident, of all things! Mess up a days plans for sure. Corned beef way too expensive now, haven’t made it in years, although we liked it. Something in the seasoning gave me diarrhea, so I could not eat it anymore. Now it’s just my son and me, no point. Not Irish anyway, and we don’t drink and act stupid, like so many do. Police have already sent warnings out. Dallas bad area for drunks driving! Lynda, do you cook a lot of corned beef now? You used to cook a lot! You had a big family to take care of! I bow to you!

  3. It's Kathy. I like the idea of choosing to be optimistic today. I'm planning on a very quiet day. Tom is still not feeling the best and I think my body is fighting it off. My grandfather came from Ireland and my son took me and 2 of his sisters for a visit there in 2014. Can't believe it's been 10 years already. It was wonderful to see where my grandfather came from. He was so short. I didn't know him until I was maybe 10. I thought he was a leprechaun! He had that twinkle in his eyes! So did my dad. When my dad was alive we always celebrated St. Patrick's day - even my children. But not so much anymore! One year I tried making Corned Beef and Cabbage (my Norwegian mother always made that for my Dad on St. Patrick's Day) but it didn't turn out very well. Maybe again some time! Have a lovely day. We're getting flurries too and it's pretty chilly outside. Daisy doesn't even want to go out! That's okay with me.

  4. Happy Beau is back to normal, sis.
I sent you a video on messenger with me singing last night at karaoke. A friend took it with her phone camera. The quality is not very good. Make sure you click to make it larger and turn your sound up.
Happy St Pat's Day to you, too. Are you eating corned beef and cabbage or Irish stew?
I can't do that til a while after my gallbladder surgery. My pre-surgery appointment is Tuesday...the first day of spring! Thanks for the reminder of that.
I do plan to just chill today. Almost always the day after karaoke. It seems forever since I went. I left early. Someone else brought Joanne home.
Very light snow here today, too. Luckily, the horrible wind that was blowing yesterday has died down. There were weather alerts for fire due to the dry air and wind.
Your memes are right on...if we think of the positive side of things we are much happier.
Did you look up either of those Irish books? I got them both, but I haven't started either yet. Maybe this afternoon.
    Now...play with Lucky and snooze.
    Hope all 5 of you enjoy your day! {{{HUGS}}}

  6. Happy St. Pat's Day to you. Perhaps with Beau being a "senior" dog now, it's just too much for him to have extra dogs visit any more. Poor buddy!

Keep that giggle in your wiggle... loved that top pic!

    2. I have no room to talk. My cat got physically ill when I moved furniture around, and was instantly well again when I moved it back a couple of years back. Animals seem to love their routine.

  7. Hi Lynda Happy St.Patricks Day. No Irish activities at my house.
    Great inserts today.
Poor pilot son with rental care. Yikes
I'm glad Beau seems much better with the other dogs gone. It's nice of you to keep sons dogs but Beau didn't do well with their visit.
Enjoy your day. Play piano for Beau. He'll really like that.

Sorry #2 got his car smashed. Glad Beau feels better. If I lived somewhere else, I'd have my own dog. Barbara's dog is asleep on my bed right now...I'll be joining him soon...it is 11:10 pm here.
