Here's to strong women---

Good morning---  I have just returned from taking Himself to his Day Program--He did not want to go but I managed to convince him that they were expecting him--and they were--and--  as soon as I returned home, I took the 4 dogs out--and that went well--  Beau is hanging in here, but--(the big "butt") I just have a bad feeling that something is not right with him-- but---- so far--so good--Perhaps a huge prayer will help--

We have sunshine -no snow falling--with a temperature going up to 14 C this afternoon-- It must be SPRING--- Oh --Yesterday I think I saw a robin--only one---  but-- It made me so happy----I have not seen any geese fly over--yet---  They do not usually come until the Lakes have thawed and so far, that has not happened--.---  But--There are signs of Spring--- and--I will take them!--  One has to love SPRNG--

"Spring has sprung---The grass has riz--- I wonder where the Boidies iz?--- The Boid is on the wing---But that's absoid--I thought the  wing was on the Boid--"------  We used to say this verse every Spring--I still say it----  LOL---

A Short Blog----  but-----  Things will return to normal soon ---  The visiting dogs go home on the 16th--YEAHHHHH----I am chanting  the meme below---"stronger than I seem"-----Lord love a Duck! I am happy that I am able to do all this--

I am telling you---

Sadie , that wonderful cleaning Lady (who is really me!) said she would drop in and help me whip the vacuum around--kinda make the main level look somewhat normal with 4 dogs in it-

How is your day going?--Are you happy?--Do you feel the power?-----so important to remember that we do have the strength---and don't let the crazies get you down---Take a deep breathe and carry on---take one step at a time---focus on what is important to you---

Here's to strong Women--- may we be them--
may we raise them--

  1. Definitely will send some prayers upward for Big Beau AND YOU! Poor baby. Hes’s 10?? Seems like you just got him!

Yes, Spring is trying it’s best to . . . spring. Saw 2 robins.

Fell yesterday, so a little sore. Face plant. UGH> Nothing broken, just bruised and sore. NO fun.

    Take good care.

  2. It's Kathy. I will certainly send up a prayer for big Beau! It hurts when our dear pets don't seem themselves. That weekend that my son and family stayed here with Annie (who is Daisy's sister/litter mate) my Daisy seemed so stressed out. She's been fine since it's just been us again. I needed these words about being strong and having power. It's not going well for my daughter with the idiot who fathered her boys. He wants everything, including the kitchen table she took when she left him. And she left him because of Domestic Assault. That hurts too. So your memes help me feel stronger so I can support her. I hope himself has a good time at the center today! And maybe you can take a few minutes for yourself!!

  3. Hi Lynda, strong woman is YOU.
So glad you "drug" himself to Lodge...he needs it and so do you. Wish he'd stay there more hours but that's not his plan.
Poor Beau. Prayers. Hope he gets back to normal when the other 2 dogs leave. 4 dogs inside is an awful lot to deal with even when they all get along.
Please stay amazing and deal with just today.
Spring has definitely arrived in St.Louis. trees blooming, daffodils, sunshine and warm temps.
    Hugs and blessings

  4. Definitely saying prayers for Beau! You have enough stress in your life right now with your "extra" animals and being a care taker of your husband! So praying for you too!
I am happy to see spring and warmer weather, but I am dreading all the extra stuff I will have to do.......right now the weeds are having a "heyday" all around the walkways and in the rocks around the pool. I have a small sprayer, but it takes a lot of time and effort to mix the chemicals and then to pump the sprayer and it hurts my back because I need to bend to apply the spray with the wand. So last night I made an Amazon order for a new sprayer that uses a battery to build up the pressure for spraying and it is on wheels so I can pull it around the yard! It was more than I wanted to spend, but I am realizing as I age that I have limitations in how long and how much work I am able to do! Plus the sprayer is less than if I hired someone to come spray my weeds!
My Kubota tractor has a boom sprayer that I use to spray the 4 acres, but I can not get it close enough to the house or get it in the fence around the pool....but I am even dreading loading that 40 gallon tank up and riding the tractor to weed and feed my grass this year.
I think I am just slowing down.

  6. Hi Lynda: Prayers and hugs for Beau. I hope everything will be OK. Wonder why himself didn't want to go today, Thought he loved it there. Not good if he is going to change his mind especially if you try to have him go for longer. It's a good thing you are very strong to handle everything. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  7. Do your doggo's attack the vacumn? Just wondering. The grand dog attacks it and tries to bite it here.
Hope all went well with Himself and his visit. Good idea on letting him think they were waiting on him.

    2. It's Marti. Hey, have you ever thought of getting a robot vacuum? I have a iRobot Roomba with all the bells and whistles. It empties itself. It DID stop emptying once, but I just looked on YouTube for how to fix it, and did. I have become quite the robot vacuum repairperson lately. We get them in frequently at work, people don't know how to fix them and they just donate them. Well, I take them, figure out what is wrong, fix them and/or order new parts for them, and they are always as good as new. Today a new battery came for the latest one I brought home, and it's now working, yay! It's zipping around the house as we speak. I don't really need it, but tinkering with things is my hobby! :)

    3. Marti again. I mention that, because you seem to work so hard, and I think you should be sitting somewhere with your feet up once in awhile with a cold drink next to you, LOL. I used to watch "The Jetsons," and I kept waiting for a robot cleaner like Rosie, and lo and behold, I finally have one - who I named Rosie. Ha ha

  8. Yes, yes, prayers for Beau! I'm worrying/praying for my trainer's kitty cat Milo, too. And loving on Prisoner as he's "getting up there" himself. Today I had the landscape guy out to look over and give me advice about the yard, and I'm cowering at the thought of the estimate that he'll send me probably early next week... but you know how a big yard takes so much work!

Hope things go well in the remaining "dog days"... four-dog days, that is, even though there are just three of them before they go back to normal. Give Sadie an extra hug from me.

    - Barb (OKM)

  9. I'm posting very late here. Hope you see this.
It's been a crazy day around here.
I did a Walmart online order. Clicked on ONE can of Lucky's favorite food and said I wanted 12 of them. What came were 12 BOXXES of 12 cans each! They were hard to get back to the store. The return took even longer. The customer service girl had to ask for help. The help had to ask for help.
My adopted daughters came and visited with JoAnne and I for quite a while. They brought us homemade soup.
It's good that Himself went to his program. Bet he felt better this afternoon.
I haven't seen a robin yet, either, but there sure are a lot of squirrels running around.
Sadie didn't show up at all here. She must go somewhere else besides your house and mine.
It's 1106 PM here. I need to see if Lucky needs exercise and crash!
Bet we'll find out how your afternoon went...tomorrow! {{{HUGS}}} Maggie
