Women hold up half the sky!

It is minus 14 C-- outside right now---  WINTER! ----  and Easter Sunday is  almost here--had to believe isn't it?
Son #2 the Pilot is sitting in London, getting ready to go to the Airport, to return home.
This picture was taken as he was going into London---and below--is somewhere in London---
and---- guess what--  If you look closely, yu will see a McDonald's--AND HE FOUND IT!

He will be returning to Toronto shortly---
To-day is better---  no tears --YET----  and last night I dreamt of big Beau---and he was happy---  not ill--AND--We have sunshine (and lollipops) and very cold temperatures---not too much planned for to-day---altho, I am thinking of  adding some daily fitness into my day--I can make the time now that I only  walk little Lopez and I see in the mirror-- "jiggly arms"---probably a lot more crazy stuff going on in the old body now---
Son#2 just sent the picture of the Turbulence--The "ORANGE" colour is the Turbulence--I see now how Pilots try to avoid that-I never knew that--

Time to get this body moving---  Lopez must get out -- I hope your Sunday is wonderful--  Try to be strong--We really do not have a choice do we?--  Remember, Women hold up half the sky!

I always smile at your son's McDonald's photos. In 1985 when my husband, one of my sisters and myself arrived after a long flight to London we were starving and McDonald's was where we ate because we it was the first place we saw after leaving the airport.
Then we headed directly to the train depot to go on to Harrogate where we stayed with friends for one week before returning to explore London for a week.

  5. It's Kathy! I love the idea of Lauriellen going on vacation and leaving Bryan to fend for himself with those boys. Yes, I'm sure they are acting up like this because of all the unrest in the home and that Bryan keeps telling them that they will soon be living with him. They LOVE their mom! I love the pictures from London, your son gets to see so many wonderful places. I also love that he can find a McDonald's everywhere he goes! We are expecting a boatload of snow over the next 3 days. I was just out with Daisy and it's started. So a quick trip to the store after church this morning - then we'll all stay safe at home! I am also in Fitness Protection and it's time to escape. For years I have gotten down on the floor to stretch and just do some light strength exercises every single night. It relaxes me. I've only done it once this week - too much going on! I also need to get on my treadmill so I'm able to take longer walks with Daisy. Spring, I hope, is just around the corner! Have a lovely day!

  7. Lynda, I told you Beau would let you know he was fine. Dreams are a primary way that happens!!! So happy for you. Remember how he was in that dream.
We have a winter advisory here, too. High winds. Lots of snow...who knows how much. Several inches at least. It won't move away until Tuesday. Then, hopefully...Spring.
Karaoke last night was wonderful. I sang several new songs, including one I am going to send you on messenger. Please listen to these beautiful little girls.
I'm not doing much here today. Never do much the day after karaoke except recuperate. Dishes for sure. Wanted to take down garbage/recyclables, too, but it's difficult with the walker and all that snow. Will try to hold off until tomorrow. That's when they empty our dumpster and recycle bins anyway.
The photos of your pilot are always great. Makes you feel included in his life, and us, too.
A couple great memes today. Love Dali Lama quotes.
Hope your day proceeds just as you want it to. Are Lopez and Sushi grieving at all? Hope not. {{{HUGS}}} Maggie.

  9. Hi Lynda: good to know that Beau has let you know he is now ok. I'm sure it makes you feel better. Thanks for the coffee! Nice pics from the pilot. Of course he found McD's. So that's what the see for turbulence - nice they can try to miss it. We didn't get as much snow as I thought we would but it was enough and better today. No warm yet but supposed to be this week. Can't wait. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  10. Oh, Lynda, I just heard the news of Beau’s passing from a group of Sparkers on a message board. I send my deepest sympathies! He had nine wonderful years with you. You are such a good dog mom. Glad Beau came to you in dreams to let you know he is well and he loves you. Give Lopez a cuddle for me (if a chihuahua accepts those!) maybe play some music for comfort. I’m sure he misses his pal, too.

  11. Pilots really do have to know a lot, don't they? I always love seeing that your Son#2 has found the McDonald's wherever he goes in the world.

So glad that Beau came to comfort you in your dreams. I'm almost reluctant to tell you that I have taken leave of my senses and will be taking on a Charcoal Lab puppy. We shall call her Ember, and she'll be joining the household at Easter time (Sunday or Monday, her owner's mom used to work with me, and will make the drive to deliver her home to me). I've already started ordering things I will need, and "the kids" are already plotting for a play date with Carl after she gets settled in.

A dog like Beau was for you starts with a good puppy start. A friend of mine who lost both of his Chihuahuas last year is also starting fresh with new pair of Chihuahua puppies. It's that time of year, even if Winter is trying to intimidate us one last time. Young things springing up, from plants to cattle.

It has taken me 13 years since I lost Diamond to take on another dog. Carl made for a nice transition, but I think I'm finally ready for a dog in residence, as opposed to a visitor. Wish me luck!

Hugs and love to you, Himself, and Little Lopez as you grieve and adjust.
