When I got up this AM., it was raining----By the time I took the 2 boys (as in dogs)-- out, the rain had stopped--I just walked Lopez up the road----AND HE DID HIS BUSINESS---talk about co-operating eh?-- There were ice pellets falling as we raced home--
I wanted to hug the wee boy, like the picture above--
Yesterday , we had ice-- then the guy in the sand truck came--- and covered all that ice with sand and salt---and to-day I can see the stones on the driveway-- That ice is melting--It is amazing! ----and---a perfect example , that one should always just take "the bull by the horns"----do what has to be done--to get thru your day--it might cost a bit but it would cost a lot more if I fell-and broke a leg--even if Beau broke some leg----so, another adventure-----another hurdle --over with -and all is well that ends well--
To-day , we have no appointments--no, "must have" places to go to--- just "go with the flow" sort of day---relaxin' kinda day---I believe Himself goes back to his Day Program to-morrow.
I never seem to be able to book Sadie, that cleaning Lady , who, as you know, is really me---- It seems that she just gets started on a cleaning chore, and --"all hell breaks loose"-in this house---I may have to book Sadie for a whole week---- so that every room might get dusted etc--We do have "March Break" very soon---and I hear that Lola and Apollo (Son#3's dogs)--will be staying with Gramma for a week---so---of course Sadie should come another week---Lord love a Duck---- always something isn't there?--
Some good advice below--- "Talk to Yourself once in a day"---I am afraid I talk to myself a good many times-- in a day-----Do you???
I am here gabbing away---and there are people to see, places to go--- and a whole house to tidy up--
Are you feeling "strong" to-day???
Life is not easy , some days, and one must muster up that energy. keep your chin up, and do what you never thought you could--
And so, all you "WONDER WOMEN"-----get off of here, and attack this day with enthusiasm--

Glad that Lopez did his biz . . . good boy! YES sometimes we just have to do what has to be done to stay safe. You don’t want something to happen to you OR the boys.

DeleteTalk to myself?? Heck we have entire conversations. LOL! Today I gave myself some kudos for taking my time and staying calm as I tried repeatedly to tie my shoe laces. I know how to do it but my hands and fingers don't cooperate with each other or me these days. It took 45 minutes, but I finally succeeded. I'm grateful it was only one shoe! I'm certainly a lot more kind to myself about these things than when I was a kid. So I allowed myself to have pizza delivered for lunch (gasp!) knowing I'd have it for my dinner too. In celebration of patiently, calmly trying over and over to conquer yet another lost skill. If it comes untied again, I'm putting the silicone stretchy thingies in to make the shoes slip-ons. That will be a challenge for another day though! I'm grateful I kept my cool, had no meltdowns, and just kept trying. Love you, Lynda - so glad I could pop in and say hello! ❤️

ReplyDeleteWell, it is snowing here, again. We have a shop on our property and my husband and worker are out there. My dog is having a fit and I went outside to tell him to stop barking. Yep, I was caught in my flannel pjs. What a great way to start the day! Poor worker-his eyes might be burning now. 😂🤣😂. Just thought that you might need a laugh!

DeleteJust when all is well and moving along nicely here, something goes off in daughters head and she makes hurtful/snide remarks....which does not set well with me. I am considering looking for an efficiency apartment somewhere so I can have peace/quiet, and no one coming in my room and moving things to suit them. Oh well, guess I know now why David refused to move up here.

We had a really warm weekend and now it's on the chilly side again! I went to Pilates this morning, Now I need to get some work done!

ReplyDeleteI didn't have a good evening last night, though. Was given an egg salad sandwich on a bun. It was good, but 1/2 hour later pain started Terrible, horrible pain in the area of my gallbladder. Went to the ER. They didn't release me until 230AM. The pain finally dissipated. EKG showed a lot of sludge in there. Doc said the pain went away because it finally passed through. Totally plant based now. I need to follow up at the VA.
You may be able to relax today with your kindle and or music! Good for you,
I'm doing nothing more tonight. Just trying to find something with no fat that I would like to eat.
