My favourite day is----to-day!

yes--my favourite day-- everyday is my favourite day--and its HAIR DAY--I do look just like the Lady in the picture-
We have moved right into winter-- I had to get up in the night and turn up the furnace --It was cold in our bedroom-Maybe I should not set the temperature so low at night anymore--

It is a new day-- snow now covers our grass--plus I cleared snow from the bricks on the driveway--AND--had to plug the car in---Up north here, in the winter, on cold nights, we plug in our vehicles--

The nurse will be here shortly to dress Himself's finger----and later on, a plumber will be here to check our water system in the furnace room-he may have to change some fittings on the specs--You know, I never did any of that stuff before--  Himself took care of it all--I wouldn't even have noticed all of that, but Son#4  told me to have someone check all that--

So, life changes as one ages--Lord love a Duck!--I remember , in Gr 9--our first year of high school, having to take "art"  , "music"--and "Home Ec"--  Art and music were great--but- Home Ec was a disaster---We had to sew an apron---  WEll!---  Mom finally sewed it for me--So many times, I have wished I knew more about our car--- and electrical stuff would've been a huge help now also--

Sadie , I hear, is telling me to hurry  here as that nurse will appear soon, which means LOPEZ MUST BE CRATED----and big Beau will go in the sunroom--

The above pictures , from LA---sent from  Son#2, the Pilot--who has returned to Toronto--He told me that you would all love the beach--

Have a good day---don't let the "bastards" get you down-- WE are stronger than them anyway, aren't we?-
specially when we get and do, all  of the message below--
did yu know that---?
'scuse the last line-

  1. So glad today is hair day for you! NICE!

Good that the nurse is coming and that the plumber will be there to check on your water system. Good luck!

OH the pictures from LA are gorgeous! But glad that DS has arrived safely back in Toronto.

  2. It's Kathy. I expect one of these days we will wake up to several inches of snow also. I love this winter so far - our December was the warmest since they've been keeping record in the mid-1800's. Right now there are patches of snow on the ground but not much. Enjoy your hair day! I don't know much about taking care of the house or the car - I suppose it would be a good thing to learn! Have a good day.

  3. So funny, Lynda, with your memes! Love the last one, but I don't think I will save it to repost. My kids. You understand.
Love it that you have your hair day. I almost need one, too. I will wait, though, 'til it's easier to move around.
Sadie is (temporarily) done here, so she will help you in a hurry.
Bet Himself will enjoy the nurse coming. It's someone else to talk to, hopefully laugh with.
We will both have a happy day today. Our inspection is done, and they did not come to my apartment. (I mentioned the inspection in my very late post last night).
Lucky wants to play. When he is worn out, we will cuddle with a short nap (me) and a longer one (Lucky).
I don't know what you mean about plugging in your cars. Does everyone there have electric cars? Or do you just mean plugging in the battery to be sure it maintains its charge?
    All for now, dear. Take care of yourself first and then your brood. {{{HUGS}}}

    1. I know-- that last meme was not nice but it made me smile-For my hair, I go to a Lady's home--Actually she was my hair dresser many years ago---- It is cheaper --and convenient---- That was good eh that the people didn't go thru yer apartment---Now, because it gets so cold outside here, people in the North, have some sort of heater that keeps the engine warm in the winter--Its a special heater--- I plug it onto a place in our garage--only use it in the winter--winter----- Hopefully Himself will go to the Day Program tomorrow--Lynda

  4. So you plug in that engine heater thing, like folks in the Dakotas have to do here. Another thing for you to remember! Hope you enjoyed the hair time, and chatting. Take care driving now.

    1. Yes-- I plugged the car in when I returned home this afternoon as its pretty cold in the garage--It is supposed to keep something or other in the car engine warm and the car is supposed to start easier in the winter---and then the driver is happier-- (Now yu know that I know nothing about cars--LOL) Lynda

  5. Loved the inserts
..especially don't let the bastards get you down.
Hair Day wahoo. Some pampering for you. Nurse will distract himself for a bit. It would be very helpful to know about electrical stuff, house and car maintenance. I, too, had to make an item...a skirt...it was awful but my mom finished it. It had an elastic waist and i looked like a floral barrel.

    Love the beach pictures.
Enjoy your day. Be safe and well.
    Hugs and blessings

  6. Hi Lynda: Glad the nurse came to look after himselfs finger. It got so cold last night and today so it must be really cold up there. LA looks so good. Would love to be there! I would also like to know about cars, etc. Back then we had no choice but home ec. Hope you have a quiet night tonight. Take care Brenda

  7. I hope you enjoyed your hair day! Did the nurse visit go well? We had a dusting of snow this morning here in Ohio. Yes, wouldn't we love to know about all the things we need to hire someone to check? Gosh, I had home ec also and had to sew a blazer! The seam ripper quickly became my best friend! lol I finally got it done but not sure how it really turned out. The pics are lovely! We all need to be there! That would be great fun. Enjoy your evening!
