I was up again in the night-wandering around the front snowy front lawn with Lopez who did absolutely nothing--so, we came back inside--I-took off my parka-- Lopez went back in his crate-----I climbed back into bed--- and------LOPEZ AGAIN BEGAN TO WHIMPER---down I went--was going to take him out, and if he didn't go to the big dog water bin, and drank a lot of water--So, upstairs we went-AGAIN__back into his crate ---- I climbed into bed--- AND LOPEZ BEGAN TO WHIMPER---Lord love a Duck!--So--I covered him up---in his crate--said --BAD BOY-! NOW GO TO SLEEP!--- I lay in the bed--leaned over the side and patted him ------HE FINALLY WENT TO SLEEP---Lordy BE! --What a person does for a Chihuahua- There are times I am beginning to wander why on earth we have this dog---- but------ I hate to admit it, but----- I LOVE HIM!
Hopefully I can stay home to-day--- perhaps get to the grocery to-morrow----- That might be nice---perhaps have a wee rest, and read my book , until the book falls onto the floor because I have fallen asleep--
I am just wondering----are your grown kids always telling you what to do?-- (I never tell them what to do)------just wondering, because it kinda drives me crazy-- I try to let it go in one ear and out the other--but--there are times I ----- well--we won't go there--I am their Mom--but----- who am I really???-
It's Kathy. My oldest daughter is the only one of the 5 who seems to think she should be in charge of my life and no, I do not like it and I tell her so. Honestly, who do these children think raised them to be the people they are today?? I love the phone booth. Ours weren't that nice either - just metal with glass. But it's been a long time since I've seen a phone booth. Daisy and I are home all day, that will make her happy. I can see her aging before my eyes. We're getting a visit from my daughter and 2 little grandsons - I think she needs them to have a change in environment. Yesterday little Jake called me and told me that he was happy but also sad, and the sad turned to anger. My heart just broke! If his father would just realize how much he's hurting these boys!!! Have a good day and enjoy your book!
ReplyDeleteOur daughter also--- thinks she knows everything--kinda LOLOL-- so happy that it's not ONLY happening to me Kathy--drives me crazy-- Oh Kathy--so sad for little Jake-The father is missing out--one day he will realize that--when it is too late maybe--The kids never forgive that patent-- Hugs Kathy-- Hug little Jake--Lynda-
DeleteGood day when the boys do what they’re supposed to do! Yeah. Sounds like you and Lopez had a challenging night! But glad he finally went to sleep. PHEW.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the telephone booth picture. I remember seeing those when in London. There are no more telephone booths here. Yes, used them all the time growing up, too. Had a charm bracelet that had a charm to carry a dime (that’s what phone calls cost back in the olden days!) in case you needed it for the phone. As you say, now it’s all cell phones.
YIKES! That is a LOT of food. Looks delicious.
Oh I love that meme. Yes, takes many years, but it is good to learn to love yourself and realize just how courageous and wise that is.
Ohhhhh, my goodness. I will be 70 next month, and DH is 72. DD thinks we should live in a retirement community. I have a friend who lives in a retirement community and we visited . . . I . . . would . . . be . . . bored. . . to . . . tears! It’s not for me, at least not yet!
Hugs and a good weekend to you and Himself and the boys!
Barb
1crazydog
Himself says he would be bored in a retirement place yet--I dunno--Maybe I could read more--LOLOL--Hopefully Lopez will sleep right thru this night--He has been out many times and did his business twice--That should do it eh Barb??-still mild here and snow melting-I love it--LOL--Lynda-- with Bugs for yu
DeleteIt's another cloudy, dreary, rainy day here. I went out this morning and tried a new exercise class "Pound" - it was fun - you use drum sticks while you do different exercises. It was fun. Yesterday I did a "Step" class for the 1st time! My legs are sore today! I am trying to lose those extra pounds I gained over the holidays! I guess I am lucky - none of my 4 kids try to tell me what I should do....only if I ask will they suggest things. And my youngest, my only daughter, calls me every single evening to check in with me. She is such a sweetheart! Liked you ending memes - you are in charge of your happiness and no one is entitled to treat you like s**t! Words to remember each day!
ReplyDeleteI saw that drum class on TV--It did look like fun!-Nice of yer daughter to call yu every evening--Does she live close?---And it was overcast here all day and snow dripping from the roof-- so mild-- Hugs Sandra, Lynda
DeleteWhat is it about oldest daughters knowing everything we should do?? I have the same problem but since she lives 600 miles away I can just say something and then forget it. Gotta love them!!
ReplyDeleteCold rainy day here and I can't seem to get warm! However the gas/electric bill came today so I won't turn up the heat. We are paying for those record cold days early in January. Dot
Wet---- snow melting--overcast --- weird January eh??-- Yeah I just listen to all the instructions--but----- so much advice--I know they mean well-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: I really love the last saying about no one is allowed to treat you like shit. More people should live like that and the world would be a better place. Love the British phone booth - can't believe how all ours have disappeared and a lot of people have never heard of them! That's all we had when we were growing up. The pilot sure does love his Japanese food. Poor Lopez. My dog is having a lot of problems that started with stealing some hot meatballs and eating all at once and burning all her esophagus. She can never eat anything but a liquid diet for the rest of her life as it is totally covered with scar tissue! So hopefully Lopez doesn't do anything like that! Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteCute sayings, I know, and true--OMG--Your poor dog--- That is so sad - only liquid diet now??--Brenda that must be hard--- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteAgree with everything you posted....I don't think Lopez wants to go potty, I think he probably thinks if he bugs you enough you will let him either sleep with you or run loose....then he will prowl all night. Has his days and nights turned around maybe?
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, you deserve it.
Darlene yu might be right--- Lopez never gets into my bed as then I will never get him out--Sometimes I think it might be nice to allow him in the bed--but--then I know that will be the beginning of the end--LOL-- lynda
DeleteHi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Lopez gave you a rough night. Im sorry about all his antics last night. Do you think it was about attention? Lopez is quite a challenge.
Oh yes, my son "tries" to tell me what I should do.
Absolutely..don't let anyone on the planet treat you/or me/or anyone like shit. I am in charge of my own happiness but I'm also a composite of all those I've encountered throughout my life...positive and negative.
The English phone booths are so pretty
I can't remember the last time I saw a phone booth. Are there pay phones anywhere? I don't think so. Pilot son does enjoy food lol
Hope you had a peaceful day and maybe a nap.
Take care. Be well and safe.
More rain and fog AGAIN today. Maybe?? a bit of sun tomorrow. Grateful temps are above freezing.
Hugs
Lopez , in spite of how cute he is---is a challenge-- --and no phone booths anymore-- I did get a wee nap--with my book and once again I found the book on the floor--as I keep falling asleep--Lopez did get a good walk in this afternoon--Hopefully it tired him out-- He has such a tiny head but it must be packed with brains-Big Beau understands english=-Can yu tell that I love these dogs?--LOL--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! That little Lopez! lol Don't you wish they could talk? Tommy is the same. He gets up so much and half the time just wants to play. He loves fetch. That is a fancy phone booth. I do remember them. We had one at our high school. Actually, maybe a couple and they had phone books hanging in them. It is 40 and rainy in Ohio this evening. How was your day? Tomorrow is our favorite day. Let's smell the coffee and make it great!:)
ReplyDeleteYes-to-morrow--the bestest day--LOL--raining here also--melting snow too--It was a very good Day for sure here-Hugs to yu--Lynda
DeleteHappy to hear you had a very good day! The snow here is all gone. Yes, tomorrow will be the bestest day!
DeleteGood God! These comments have yesterday's date! I'm sure I checked to make sure I posted before karaoke last night! Do you ever think that maybe you, 'are losing it...?'
ReplyDeleteI will check later to see if you blogged again on the 28th...that's today's date.
Jo and I had help with our walkers an finally got back to karaoke last night. Had so much fun! I was only going to take a cane, but everyone else thought I'd be safer with the walker.
Poor little Lopez. After drinking all that water, I would think the next time he cried he may have needed to pee.
Lucky let me sleep in an hour today. Good thing cuz we didn't get to bed 'til 130 am.
I am glad you're resting today. You, of all the people I know, really need that rest and relaxation. Shopping can be done almost any day.
Wish I new what all that Japanese food was. I love Asian food...Thai is my favorite.
I don't fall asleep reading, unless it's a dull book. Funny, I sometimes doze when watching a favorite tv show.
Time to romp with Lucky now, eat lunch and take a nap reliving last night in dreams. {{{HUGS}}}
