Enjoy your Weekend-

This was me early this morning --  I had already walked Lopez and wanted a good 10 minute fast walk to the corner and back!-I had the music on--and also a bug hat- It was very warm--and still is--Funny how fast the heat came!  I am hoping that a bit of exercise , just for me, will keep any strokes away--So many people I know , get a stroke, as they age--

This morning I tried to register Himself and I, to vote by mail--I tried several times, but it kept going to the U.S.---  not Canada-- I'll try another day is I can find a person at "Elections Ontario"  to help me register.--  Why do they make all this so difficult?--  They had me type in passwords etc and I'm not good when it comes to all that.

So, this morning, I was trying to get the deck set up---  to-morrow I'll have to get the sunroom livable--This house is way too big for the 2 of us--The problem now tho, is to find a house which is small, one story, and to make it suitable for us-- There is a real housing shortage here right now-I feel this will be our last summer living here--  It is so big and we don't even use it all--When we bought tis place, we had 5 children.

We have so many robins---  and now hummingbirds----This morning, around 5am, the "sky was alive"--- There was such a chorus of birds chirping and singing--It sounded like we lived in the jungle--  By 6am, the chirping had stopped-- I absolutely love listening to all of them!

Enjoy your weekend-- try to  stay healthy----and happy, no matter what--because we do only have one life--and , we must live it!--Be kind to everyone, as it's the nicest thing to do!

  1. What a beautiful expression, 'the sky was alive" with so many birds. We also have a rather big house for only the 2 of us. Have a beautiful Saturday.

  2. We moved from our big old farmhouse 4 years ago and we now have a brand new one story ranch. . . it was hard to move but I am glad we did it when we did. Now we can enjoy our time here and I have plenty of garden stuff to do.

  3. Most of us move way too late. Make sure you get rid of stuff you don’t want your sons or strangers to see. Do it while you are able bodied. You still have some control now. Do not wait until others will go through all of your stuff. Glad all of the birds are a distraction now. Nice to hear them.

  4. The birds do make Spring oh, so cheerful! It's a big job to "downsize"!

  5. Good idea to start now disposing of anything you wouldn't be taking with you if you moved. Start now and you can take your time going through stuff rather than waiting till it is time whether that be next year or a few years away. I am so guilty of keeping things. I need to do this too.

  6. Our house is too big also! So much upkeep inside and out. We need one about half this size and one-level. Stairs are just not good for me anymore. We have lots of birds that we feed and have water for them. The robins love our birdbath! I love to sit on our porch and listen to the birds sing.

    Have a wonderful weekend 🌺

  7. As a few people have said start clearing out stuff now long before you want to move. It takes a lot of time to downsize by deciding what you really want to keep. I did it twice and it is awful. And now that one son has moved to your street it will probably be a little harder. Focus on your walks to give you energy. It's nice to listen to the birds.

  8. Good for you for getting your walk in even with the flies buzzing around. We are also in a house that is too big for us now but we can't really afford to do anything about it! So lots of things just don't get done!!!

  9. Everything seems to be harder for me. Voting, opening containers, exercise, following complicated instructions, technology...like me having trouble posting on your blog. Sigh. I'm trying to think of what may be easier. Can think of nothing...other than Love. I am much less judgmental of others now...allowing them their individuality.

Spring is wonderful! You have it made, Lynda: beauty, birds, pets, lake, children and grandchildren. Hope that balances out the difficulties like care of Himself, voting and the big house.

I believe once you mentioned the possibility of moving to a condo or something...

    I'm gonna try this again {{{HUGS}}}

  10. Good for you getting a good brisk walk in. Good for your heart, lungs, bones and muscles!

Oh I think the vote-by-mail process is deliberately made difficult so you’ll give up. **SIGH** Good luck.

Good luck as you sart the process of downsizing. It . . . is . . . daunting. Himself and I are not ready for that yet, but . . . just keep decluttering and doing things so we’re ready to good if and when.

For sure, kindness is so important. You just don't know what the person you're interacting with is going through.

    HUGS and blessings.

  11. Good on you for your walk in spite of flies and the heat
    Kindness is never wasted.
You'd mentioned some villas in town...maybe they aren't even built yet. We downsized 3 yrs ago and I'm glad we did. Probably going to go even smaller if we can find something. Your house is a lot of work inside and out. Its beautiful but big. Start purging, a room at a time.
    Have a great day.

  12. Is it possible, after your house sells, to rent for a year and build?

  13. There is a housing shortage here also. If you can find a house to buy the prices are so high I don't see how anyone can afford them. Rents are really high also. I feel sorry for the young people who need places to live. Have a great day!

  14. Our house is not overly large, but keeping up with David and the yardwork is rough, along with the house and everything that goes with it.
