We have lots of black flies-- They bite the dogs ears. They are early this year, which means they just might disappear early---Usually by the end of June, the worst of them are gone.--
Yesterday I cleaned the sunroom and it really looks good -- The sunroom sits empty all winter and just collects dust and dirt, so it took me a whole morning-now I must find the time to sit out there and read, or, just admire my handiwork.
I stepped onto the scales this AM. --AND------the weight is 180.5--- I really would love to be 175--so, I shall try harder in that easy chair in the evenings. When I began to lose the weight , I was 217---never dreaming that 37 pounds would depart from my ol' body---It has taken years and years and years--but, 10 minutes daily of walking-- eating more fruits--- not eating as much white bread--( "The whiter the bread, the sooner you're dead"-)- and a lot of "mind over matter" --
While I am jabbering away here--Son #2 is winging his way back from Seoul , Korea- -He took a picture of the toilet in his hotel room--Not too often does one receive a picture of a toilet does one?--It looked like a very complicated toilet--I'll post a closer look at the instructions of how to use it.
I hope your weekend was good! -- Isn't it wonderful to not have snow?-
Glad that the seamstress came and now just have to deal w/getting Himself his blood work!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 180.5! Keep up the good work.
OMG on that toilet! Who’d a thunk a toilet could be COMPLICATED!!! LOL
Hugs and a little love coming your way, too

funny toilet eh Barb!--Lynda
DeleteThat toilet picture gives a whole new meaning to “Toilet Training”!
ReplyDeleteA toilet that needs instructions to use. Now I've seen it all! We have come a long way from the catalogue in the little brown shack out back. Keep at that walking. Do you have a pedometer? May be a good idea and help you to keep up those steps. We have the garage door fixed. Now working on the lawnmower. Raining cats & dogs today and the grass loves it. Lialcs are coming into bloom and temp has gone from 37C down to 10C.
ReplyDeleteYu were waiting for the lilacs weren't yu Willow-- Funny coz our garage door refused to go up too--It is working now tho-Lynda
DeleteForgot the comments I was thinking of writing when I saw that toilet! OMG! Talk about making our lives difficult! I wouldn't want it, that's for sure. The most complicated one I have seen just tells you to push one part to flush liquids and another to flush solids.
ReplyDeleteGlad your seamstress came. Altering old favorites is a great idea. We don't want to give them up in many cases, so why not alter them instead!
Enjoy your sun room, Lynda. Seems it would be a great place for a little escape for a me moment location to read, think, pray, meditate, etc.
Poor doggies with the flies! Do the bites itch them alot? I heard a trick to dab Vaseline on paw pads to protect them from frostbite. I wonder if it would work to repel the flies? They wouldn't want to get stuck!
{{{HUGS}}}
I will try the vaseline--good idea!-Lynda
DeleteNice job on weight loss. You are SOOOO close to 170s.
ReplyDeleteGlad seamstress made it. You'll have lots of new clothes soon.
Hoping the black flies leave quickly.
The toilet is way too complicated. It must be a bidet toilet combo and likely has a heated seat feature lol
Enjoy your sunroom. Sounds like a nice spot for an escape.
Take care. Hugs
I put the tomato plants in the sunroom this evening-lynda
DeleteGreat job on the weight loss!! Congratulations. Glad the seamstress came because you really need your clothes taken in so you show off you beautiful body.
ReplyDeleteThe toilet is way over my head as to how to use it.... Hope we never get them here.
The seamstress did get here-- It really will be nice to wear jeans that don't ride down-Lynda
DeleteI must say, I have never in my 7 decades of life, needed an instruction panel for toilet usage! That is really something, isn’t it! I hope that you do make time today to enjoy your nice, clean sunroom…you have earned it! AND, you have done a fantastic job losing weight…I am so proud of you!❤️ Eissa7
ReplyDeleteIt really is a funny toilet!--Never go to Korea I guess or yu may have to learn to use it-Lynda
DeleteWhat a great idea, a toilet that knows more than we do. Interesting picture though. Next thing, an attached tray table, so you can sit and play solitaire with yourself. Glad you found a seamstress. I just keep clothes in all kinds of sizes here, can wear them all at some point, no need to buy new. My whole life. Lost tons over the years, but it comes back. Good luck to you.
ReplyDeleteLordy BE!--I really hope that weight never comes back--but--- I know it can-Lynda
DeleteTwo things - I'm glad here in Central Ohio, we don't get black flies, not that I'm aware anyway, and two, the toilet looks like one of those fancy toilet/bidet systems. Boy, how I'd love one of those. I have heard one can buy those add-on toilet seat/bidet things for their existing toilet, might look into that one day! :)
ReplyDeleteLucky that yu get no black flies--Thy are the worst!-Lynda
DeleteWho knew one would need instructions to use a toilet! That's progress I guess. I'm glad you were able to take care of both your projects today! I hope the seamstress is able to take in some of your clothes. Isn't that a wonderful feeling!!! Good for you on the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteThat toilet looks complicated doesn't it?-- And yes, the seamstress came-- Lynda
DeleteI so enjoy you blogs. I don't always comment, just wanted you to know I do read them every day. Have a good evening and an even greater day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteInteresting toilet. Not sure if I could figure out which "button" to push. It might be one that flushes me down too! (LOL)
ReplyDeleteThat's one fancy piece of plumbing and technology! I guess it has a built in bidet? Eliminates the need for TP? Amazing.
ReplyDeleteHope those black flies clear off early, for sure. And so glad you were able to get both things needed done!
Congrats on your weight loss. Spark on!
