Sunday, May 1st--after a magical Saturday-

"Hurrah, Hurrah, the 1st of May---  Outdoor necking starts to-day--"---  Well, it's May Day--and we used to also sing, "We'll Dance Around The May Pole, Just like We did Before!"----  or--something like that--

My sister (younger)- went to a Private girls school, and when she was in grade school there, she did really dance around the May Pole--- and if I remember correctly, they all wore pretty white dresses as they danced. --Isn't it so wonderful that we can remember these things?

I am late posting . You can blame it on the bananas.--- The groceries only came to $200 to-day--I saw quite a few people without masks-- I wore mine and will be wearing  it in public "forever and a day"--(Mom's expression  again!)_

We have a rainy day and it is kinda nice! --We really need the rain to turn the grass green. It is Sunday--I hope that everyone is enjoying this day.--a  day of rest---a day to remember how fortunate we are to live where we do---that we have food--and gasoline- even though must pay an arm and a leg for both!

I feel so fortunate that I got thru a couple of difficult days with Himself ---Funny how things turn out tho--- Yesterday, I was so upset, that I thought "raking" the front lawn would help me to get outside and away from the "homey" difficulties --but, as I raked, the tears were falling .

--  eventually a car pulled up at our gate, and I heard a Lady say to people with her, "There she is outside"---  So I stopped and went over to the gate-- It was the daughter of the people who used to live beside us--  It turned out , that her husband has Alzheimers ---  and she shared her experiences with me-- It seemed like an "act of God"--to me--  that this Lady came to see her Mom and Dad's  old property, and I needed  to talk and share  our similar lives-- Now, isn't that so strange?--It must tell yu that someone hears us and deals with us in a magical way--just saying---

  2. So true, those angels that get called into our lives, just when we need them! We got that damp weather yesterday here, and were so thankful for it. Much needed.

Here's hoping today is a good day at your place. Bananas and all!

  10. Yes your old neighbour showed up at exactly the right time. And the fact that she is going through the same thing with her husband made it really special to be able to share for both of you. Hopefully you can stay in touch. We're getting rain today too. Enjoy the day as himself seems to be better today.

  11. Happy May Day!

HOLY MOLEY! Aren’t the prices of food just astonishing! Lord have mercy.

Well, I am hopeful that Himself is better today. Hard to go through those bad days, to be sure

That’s definitely one of those ‘meant to be’ moments meeting that lady @ your gate!

    HUGS and blessings.

  12. Yes Lynda, God does hear and answers our prayers. May not always be the way we want but it is ALWAYS for what is best for us at any given moment. Yesterday God knew you needed to talk to people who understand what you are going through so you did not feel so alone. God also wanted to remind you that He is does care for you and himself abundantly.

Hope you have a restful and quiet Sunday. Play the piano.

Praying for you my dear friend

  17. Yes, God does have this and He knows when we need that. I got it when a worker called after my mother's awful Saturday this weekend and I was in tears facing the huge task of getting her placed in a home as quickly as possible (not that it will be all that quick)
