Ice along the shore-

I just took the above picture this morning. You can see the ice floating near the shore of the lake. The bay seems to be open. this is late for the ice to leave the lake. It has been a cold wet spring--

But to-day we have sun--with a cold wind.  I have a lot of raking to do on the lake side, before the black flies descend on us. I have raked the front and the  septic bed and the dog pen.

Isn't it wonderful, that there always is a new day?---Hopefully it will go better than yesterday. I appreciate all your comments  on yesterday's blog-- and I am sorry that I was so "down"---so, ever onward here! ----Last evening, Himself's Dr called , at 9-30pm ----  I never knew a Dr would ever be that dedicated to call a patient at that hour of his day. He will be here in town in 2 weeks--  He made my day!

I do not have a cleaning Lady-- well, Sadie is  the Lady, who is really me---  I learned from a dear friend that she cleans one room a day in her house--like--- REALLY cleans that one room--vacuums the cobwebs-moves furniture ---washes floors--and then moves on to the rest of the house, until the next day, when she does one more room. Eventually the whole house gets done, but it takes time.--  It seems to work for me.

I hear Lopez crying , so I must go see what he is into--So, until to-morrow, hugs-

  1. Same weather here! Sun but cold wind. Beats rain (or snow!)

That’s wonderful that Himself’s Dr. will see him in 2 weeks.

Yes, one room @ a time. That’s how I tackle things, too. Works. Maybe not as fast as I’d like, but it gets done.

  3. So glad the doctor called and spoke to you! So he knows ahead of time, some of what is going on. Until he sees himself, that is. It is not good for your health, either, to be stuck. Such an interesting picture of the water that has melted, and then the ice still there! How unusual! Ethel Metz here.

  5. Really glad that the doctor is coming to see you in 2 weeks. Keep a list of things you want to ask/talk to him about so you don't forget anything. And make notes to send your daughter! Lake has the promise of getting better in the next month or so. So glad weather is starting to get warmer finally. Have a good day.

  6. Good Morning Lynda, Happy to hear you sounding better today. Cool here too but no rain. Glad the Doctor is coming. You need to find some respite care and some emotional support if you are to continue taking care of Himself. First take care of the caregiver!

  10. I'm glad you are having a better day today. We also have sunshine and it's almost warm outside. I'm going to drive up to the path so Daisy and I can get in at least a short walk - with my back pain it seems I can't make it much more than a few minutes at a time without resting. She'll be happy t get out again today. I'm so happy to hear that the doctor will be in town. Hopefully he'll have some helpful ideas for you!

  12. We have lakes in northern Minnesota that still have 20 feet of ice on them. Also added 6 feet of snow so it might be a while. Where we live, all the lakes are open as are the rivers. Hoping the black flies are late this year as well.
