Double Mask--no matter what they say-

Good hot summer day--  so so nice!---  We even have the AC on --low!---  I just returned from the pet store, to buy Lopez a life jacket--to the tune of $64 ---  You see, yesterday , he fell off the dock--He was in a state of shock, as I was----so, he swam, but did not swim to shore--He went UNDER the dock--where there are a lot of huge logs-- so, I had to go under the dock also , to catch him--Lord love a Duck!-The logs were slimy and slippery  and it's a wonder I didn't fall on them--so, that is the reason for this $64 life jacket!-----  This wee fella almost bit an elder man who tried to pet him--  Never try to pet a Chihuahua-!---Somehow, I must stop him from doing that!
"Think Happy Thoughts"--"Make it Fun"----"Radiate Positivity"---"Cool"--"---Wild Child-"--  all positive thoughts to-day--and---"Ron Jon Surf Shop"----  When we used to go to Florida, the kids all bought so much stuff from Ron Jons--Do any of you know of Ron Jons Surf Shop?-----You all must, if you have kids!--and speaking of Kids, here are our Grandkids--oh--2 are missing--

Well, some are still missing-- --OK---  Nap time here--- Tomorrow I must tell yu what happened to me-- what I picked up from someone out there in the town---  then Himself got it from me, as well as our daughter-- oh well----   I'll let yu all know too-morrow-- because I am OK--- so is Himself--4 shots--hugs my friends--and double mask!

  1. Uh oh, it sounds like you 'picked up' Covid? I'll wait to read about it in your blog tomorrow.

I have a neighbour down the hall from me who also has a Chihuahua and I or anyone can stand beside her and the dog to talk but just "don't try to pat the dog!!" It's a barker and a biter and older too. She says he's always been like that. My two Chihuahuas were friendly and would let people pick them up, pet them, etc., but both were huge barkers! Cuddly little companions though.

I'm having a restful Sunday, are you having family come for a swim today??

Hugs & love to you Lynda, Fred, family and your fur babies xoxo

  2. I am guessing you found Covid out there in the town . . . do you know where or from who. . .it doesn't really matter . . . glad everyone is ok. Never really liked small yappy dogs . . . my grandmother had a Pomeranian and the other grandma a cocker spaniel both dogs would bite if we touched them. I have a 97 lb Newfoundland that thinks everyone wants to be her friend

  4. You always have adventures at your house. My goodness with Lopez wanting to bite AND nearly drowning.
    Great looking bunch of grands.
Sure sounds like you, Fred and daughter found Covid BUT with all your shots everyone is ok. I still mask up at grocery store and in crowds.
    Get some rest.
    Take care

  5. First, Chihuahua's are more apt to bite than most other breeds. They cling to their family...we had 2 of them and they were not friendly to other people...it takes a good while for them to "take" to who they consider to be strangers.
2nd, my daughter had the Omnicron version of covid and it nearly got her.......it pays to be careful.
Anxiously awaiting tomorrows' blog now....and the pictures of the grands are awesome.

  7. Those dogs are like kids, oh my! Glad you bought the jacket, did he fall or was he pushed? It’s 103 here, feels like 107. So just cooking quick tacos. No oven. Power grid failure can be a real thing in Texas. I hope you did not catch monkeyshine pox!!

  8. You are leaving us hanging.
Maybe you could add spikes on that life jacket to deter foxes!

  9. Wow…so much excitement at your house….Lopez was a lucky fella to be rescued …what you don’t go thru!! After that episode, I’d buy him a life jacket too just for peace of mind!
Your grandkids are a great looking group of young folks and I bet they are having an awesome time at your house!
I sure hope that you all don’t have Covid!!!❤️ Eissa7

  11. Wonderful picture of your grandkids. They are getting older. Thank heavens you were there when Lopez fell into the water. Yes I think that is money that is well spent.

Praying you and the family do not have Covid. Can hardly wait for tomorrow's blog. I did not realize it could travel that fast from person to person.

    Take it easy.

  12. Glad everyone is ok. Hopefully it was just a cold? And good that Lopez made it through his swim. Getting the jacket is a good idea. Never knew chihuahuas bit like that. Nice pis of the grands. Hope all are enjoying the day.

  13. Sounds like "not fun" picking things up that you didn't intend. Glad Lopez has his life jacket (Carl has one, too), doggies can swim, but the flotation helps. Get your rest as you get over "whatever" you picked up. Masking here, when I go indoors. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one doing so! 4 shots here, too.

Will come back tomorrow to "read all about it".

  14. What a fright for the day. Our Chis have never like the water let alone the bath times. Of course we don't live by water so not sure what our Daisy would do.

  15. Oh my! So sorry to hear that little Lopez fell off the dock! And how brave of you to rescue him by climbing under the dock! I am hoping that you are not going to tell us that you have encountered the newest Covid variant - B.5 or something like that! I have heard that it is very contagious and cases are climbing up! Love the pics of most of your grandchildren!

  16. Oh no, little Lopez! It sounds like quite the ordeal for both of you. That's a good thing to get him a life jacket.

We're still wearing a mask when indoors. I'm glad you're getting your shots. I imagine we'll be getting another one in September or October.
