This is a picture of a street in Elliot Lake----Son #2 took it with bis drone--The lake is Elliot Lake--a big reason that we decided to make this city our home. There are over 4000 lakes very close to this city--Can you tell that I used to be a "tour guide"?----Elliot Lake used to be a mining town--- now we have become a retirement community.
We have sunshine and a lovely day starting. Lopez and I walked but he did not do his business--
That means I will be going for another walk very soon--Yesterday I was cleaning up the shoreline down by the dock. The great Grandson was out to cut ALL the grass-- This will be a different summer as Son#3's 2 girls will be life guarding at the 2 beaches all summer---These Grandkids are growing up--Son #2 is en route to Doha, Qatar--a 14 hr flight, with 4 pilots-- apparently they departed with a full load--"HEAVY" as he said!-
To-morrow is "the glorious 4th" in the U.S., as Mom used to say-a wonderful celebration for those of you in the U.S.--Beau and Lopez---- the big and the little-- Hopefully you all enjoy the day--not as many bugs outside here now---We only get this day once---
Yes, the grandkids do grow up! Glad you have mowing help! Hallelujah.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to DS #2.
Beau and Lopez look like they’re tolerating each other in this picture anyhow!
LOVE the drone pic of Elliot Lake! Beautiful.
Here’s to a great Sunday.
Hugs

Elliot Lake really is beautiful Barb--Son #2 the Pilot --landed in QATAR and he said it tis 42C there-- Lynda
DeleteElliot Lake is gorgeous. You've certainly worn many hats....nurse, writer, tour guide, mom, wife, sister, daughter, friend and MORE and done all of them well. Your amazing.
ReplyDeleteGLAD you finally got some mowing help that showed up. Is this the grandson that agreed to do it or a different grandson....no matter...you have help.
Beau and Lopez..big and little...looks like tolerate lol. But thats ok.
Enjoy your day. Play your piano
This is the Grandson-- He did a great job too--I believe that all women wear many hats-- We have to I guess--just heard that the Pilot (Captain) son landed in DOHA --42C there --Lynda
DeleteWell, a second walk may not be a bad thing if it's lovely weather. Getting out of the house might be just what you need to 'stop and smell the roses.'
ReplyDeleteYay for someone coming to do the mowing.
Glad your weather has gotten a bit nicer and that you and Lopez had a nice little walk, even if he didn't do his business. Daisy is so confused because I have to call her daddy to come upstairs to take her outside. She don't like it but I see her hanging her head and following him out. I hope life around here gets back to normal one of these days!
ReplyDeleteHi Jean! I found you! I had been following your blogs since Spark People days and then on your new site, but then somehow became "disconnected" and couldn't find your info that I had written down somewhere. I just spent about an hour hunting you down. At first I couldn't remember the old Spark People website name but I eventually found that on a recipe I had printed off the site in the past. Then I just started Googling and entered "Spark People top bloggers" and I found a link to this website the day you first started blogging on it. Anyway, I am glad to see you are still here and you and your family seem well, and I am looking forward to reading your enjoyable blogs, and catching up on ones I have missed. Take care!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, LYNDA! That's probably why I couldn't find you. I had your name wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh no---- and I have missed yu--- I am happy that yu finally found me-- Did yu have Lynda with an "I"?
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Elliott Lake is very nice - but a bit too far up north for me. Glad that things worked out with your grandson and he will look after the grass for you. It's a lot of work for you. And since he's a bit older now he's more responsible. Hope your second walk produced better results. It's a nice day here today too.
ReplyDeleteWe really do live far North-- I Agree-Lynda
DeleteBeautiful town in a beautiful part of the world. Those pesky children do grow up, don't they? I spent a good part of my morning at a lake with my own "next generation", which I shall have to collect into a blog. We're trying to give Carl kayak lessons, and... well, let's say the progress is slow. I'm sure Lopez could be fine in a kayak, but what about Beau? I'll bet he'd have the same results as Carl if he refused to lie down and tried to chase his "other" humans.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a fine Canada Day, and are savoring the time you have with the family!
Poor Carl!--LOL_-Yes -Beau and him would tip that canoe for sure-Lynda
DeleteI am so happy the teed off family decided to cut your grass after all!
ReplyDeleteI will be lucky to see fireworks out my window tomorrow. There is no window in my bathroom. I will be preping for a colonoscopy at 815AM Wed. No one else was willing to do the prep on the 4th! {{{HUGS}}} ACIMPEGGY
I can see by the photo why you and others choose to spend your retirement there!
{{{HUGS}}}
Good for you--getting that colonoscopy on the 4th-- LOL--Lynda
DeleteSo glad the grandson came out to mow. Sometimes there is just too much to do. I was having my grandson come over but then I got to thinking that really is my husbands only real exercise so I just left it as an idea for later when he can't manage.
