Dream along with me!

Here we are--Himself and I--I don't know if I am supposed to share this picture or not, but--here goes--  You see, I haven't bought the package yet--but--I will--  just haven't looked into the cost per package yet----and the family picture  is so nice--  Eventually I can get that off to yu --

Everyday I say that I will get to the grocery store--and everyday I put it off--Hopefully to-morrow I can go--We seem to be surviving on what is in the freezer-along with fresh Ontario corn on the cob--My young  Grandson is going to cut the grass sometime to-day--then they are on Holidays--off to Michigan to camp--and to-day, we have a  man outside, pressure washing the deck down on the lakeside of the house . There is so much mould growing on the wood, which is slippery when wet.

Isn't it always the way--  There is so much to do, I don't know where to begin--do I clean the inside --or  look after the outside of the house-??-  Monday is a Holiday also-- This summer has gone by so fast--already we will be into August.---  I notice that the hummingbird feeders are emptying quickly--I think the young hummingbirds are at the feeders now----
So, I am kinda trying to stay sane in this busy world--kinda sorta trying----  altho I asked Himself  yesterday, "What if we sold everything and moved to Port Stanley-- the fishing village , where Mom and Dad used to have a cottage?--Do any of you ever dream of going back to where you were so happy?--Would it make you happy now?---Would you be able to find a Doctor there?---  (Why is that so important when one ages?)-- Doncha just wish that you could do something crazy like that in your "older age"-  ?

Lord love a duck! I best get offa here--  check on the man with the power washer-----stop the dreaming--  LOL---

  1. Good morning, Lynda. What a beautiful photo! Oh, every day I wish I could go back to those younger moments where we were very happy. Glad there are people coming to help keep your yard healthy including your awesome young grandson. Procrastinating going shopping? That just sounds way too familiar to me lol. Have a pretty day!

  4. What an awesome picture of you and himself.

Glad you are getting some help with the outside work. Are you still thinking about moving into a smaller place? I think it is getting closer to the time you are really going to have to do it. I know you will miss the house and the memories but you know the memories will go with you and having less to do might give you more energy to just sit and relax.

  5. What a darling picture of you Two!
So glad GS is helping with yard and handyman is helping outside.
Yes. At times I wish I could go back to my earlier house but the memories always stay with us. I know you'd miss your big house but with the upstairs and all the outside work....maybe it really is time to seriously look for something smaller and more manageable. Your home is so much work and expense. Just something to think about.
Play your piano. Make sure there is a spot for your piano when you move..or..you can always get a keyboard...just keep playing.
I went to the store today...so crowded and so expensive...not fun. Wear your mask.
    Enjoy your day!
    Hugs

  6. Such a lovely picture of you and Himself!

I love to dream of younger days too. We lived on the coast and loved to take weekend trips around the area. And I could walk as far as I wanted to without aching joints. Just part of getting older, I guess 😅

Our hummingbird feeders are humming with activity too. I do love watching those little birds. Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Oh, yes...sometimes I wish...but there are new experiences I'd rather have.
Love the photo of you and Himself. Was it recently taken? Your hair looks darker.
I am getting mine cut...finally...this afternoon. My friend has a hairdresser who comes to her apartment. Her name is Sue. She is willing to do my hair, too!
It's karaoke time for us tonight.
Be busy, but when you don't know what to do, take a break. Get all the tasks off your mind. Then what you 'should' do next will likely just pop into your head. Via your intuition, of course.
    Have a great day, and tomorrow, too! {{{HUGS}}}

  9. Hope you got to the grocery store...do you know what happened to the microwave?? Great picture of the both of you.
David bought me a gift this week.....don't start laughing yet...............when you read what it is.......a pair of very small wire cutters........they cut the pesky little plastic zip ties on some packages and also the ones they stick thru jeans or whatever you buy that they don't want you to take the tags off of....like house slippers etc. They
are just the right size for me and I won't have to borrow his anymore.....(which I think was his whole objective) Now you can laugh.....................

  12. Lovely picture of the two of you, a great memory. Yes, I look back at when we lived in the mountains, cool and fresh, clean air, no smog. This part of Texas has day after weary day of 100 or above days, heat index 105 or more. No fun to be outside. But now sons live here. But I’m lucky to have AC, nice decent house, can’t drive any more though. Good luck if you shop on a Sunday. Careful. Ethelmerz

  13. What a beautiful photo of you and Himself! I just read the last few weeks of your blogs, and it sounds as if you had a wonderful time with the entire family together. And oh my, just thinking of your "adventure" rescuing Lopez from under the dock -- superwoman! I hope your daughter is finally accepting of Himself's cognitive decline and that you and she have taken the baby steps to reclaim that mother-daughter bond that has always been so special.
