Hugs, Smiles, Sunshine , Rainbows and Butterflies.

Here are just some of the Grandchildren on the dock yesterday.  This is called "the snack dock"--- This is an old dock , "which has just about HAD it" (as Mom used to say-- so, it is tied along the shore) , and after the kids swim and swim and swim, they will eat anything Gramma brings down for them. --"THEY" named it, the snack dock--safely away from all the dogs who come out with the families.

We really enjoyed everyone being here yesterday-- There was ribs for supper----and after a day swimming, they were hungry.

Our daughter on the left and daughter in law, on the rt--and you can see that it was a windy day--son #1 , who lives around the edge of those trees, was over in his huge powerful motor boat, with more children (His neighbours children)-and he was taking them all out for boat rides which they loved--

As yu can see, the dock was transformed with paddle boats--floating docks-- and all kinds of water equipment--and children--I absolutely loved it! Summer on the lake---finally here!--

Our daughter has rented a B@B in town--- and I hate to admit it, but, I was exhausted after we finished dinner-- so, I was happy to say good nite to all, and this morning I am ready for action once again--I have to admit that I am not ageless--Lord love a Duck eh?---

Son #2, the Pilot,  is in Zurich, Switzerland-- flew there last nite--but, he too will be here next week with this family--and I hear a Family picture is in the works--

Yesterday was a mixed up day, here in our town, bank-wise-- all stores wanted "cash only"-- or a credit card--- This world really has changed hasn't it?--Did it affect you where you live?--It was all people talked about here.

So, until to-morrow--- "STAY STRONG"--We women have to "make things happen"---

-It's a new day and we are in it---

  1. Oh wow. Your beautiful photos made me homesick ... REALLY homesick, for Michigan summers and going 'Up North'. The lakes and docks and trees. For a few minutes I thought 'what the heck am I doing here, alone in a place that doesn't have even one family member. But then I realised I'm tending to a house that was my husband's every wish (aside from me), and that I'm working with some family members to bring them here, to live with me. I hope they won't feel too homesick to be here. I never have, until just this moment, thinking of Michigan summers up north. I'm so glad you'll have all of your family together again. That's quite a miracle! ❤️

  5. Beautiful images and the recognition of the beauty of the season! Yes, financial things have "accelerated" their changing here, too. Parking garages insist on credit card payment, some event ticketing, too... they don't want to mess with cash. Reservations having to be online, that's a thing since the pandemic, too. Our world, it keeps a-changing, and we adapt, don't we?

  6. Sounds like it was a great day. And today will be even better. And Rogers is in the process of restoring the network. Oh - just heard that interact is fully running so people can buy without cash! It seems it was a new world for the younger population who don't use cash much. Have fun with lots of family there. It will be a busy day - enjoy!

  11. I have Rogers cable and my internet and landline phone went down yesterday. Thank goodness my TV stayed on but people who come to see me have to buzz to get in our apartment building and the buzzer system is hooked up to my phone so now no one can buzz me! Internet is back but not my phone, it says No Line on it! Otherwise, I was okay about it cause I was right at home.

Commenting about your daughter's children - they are both adorable and yes, I think it's great that she & her children are staying at a B & B in town, it gets exhausting having people around, as much as it's loved, and we need that break at night to rest.

Love all the photos and what a wonderful family you have, Lynda, be happy with them, always.

Love to you, Fred, your furry babies and all your family xoxo

  12. Sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day - and ribs for dinner, what could be better than that! And I agree, after a full day like that it's kind of nice to have the house to yourself for awhile!

  13. I am so glad you had a great day with your family yesterday. I hope you even have a better day today. It is a good thing your daughter is staying in a B&B I know it was hard to have her say she was going to do that but I think you are glad she did. You are going to need that down time in the evening. Enjoy the rest of the visit with your family.

Love all the pictures. Nice looking family.

  15. IT looks like a wonderful way to spend a summer day. Vacations with family can be exhausting. Sometimes you need a vacation from the vacation.

  16. The stores would not take the debit card from your bank? Weirdl

Wonderful photos! Lucky you are with your family visiting. I am sure Himself and the pets (with the possible exception of Sushi) enjoyed the visiting, too. Lopez probably got lots of attention. Was he overwhelmed?

    My youngest son turned 40 a couple days ago. Makes me feel ancient!{{{HUGS}}}
