The best ships are "friendships"

Well, it all started when I went out to weed the front garden. There was this huge bushy plant, which both himself and I didn't know if it was a plant, or a weed--At the end of each branch was this long white fuzzy stuff--I began to trim all the fuzzy stuff off--Some went in my mouth--and up my nose. I was sorta concerned about having that pollen in my lungs as I do have quite severe allergies--so--when I woke up in the night, coughing quite violently , I figured it was an allergy to that bush--  so--I carried on all that day, feeling OK , but kinda worrying if my lungs were OK--- so--we went to the lodge for dinner------Remember the pictures I sent of that place?--But, by this time, eating dinner, I could not stop coughing-- In fact, I coughed all thru dinner-- I never thought of covid---  The poor waitress probably got it---

The next day our daughter said she had a testing kit ---We used it--and guess what?--It tested positive--and I finally knew that I had Covid-- The next day Himself tested positive, as did our daughter and her daughter--Himself is doing well---- Our daughter has no symptoms , nor has her daughter, but they both are positive.Wouldn't you know it eh?--  All the kids are here--with all the Grandkids--and a photographer is supposed to  be taking a family photo this evening---- Won't that be fun?---  Maybe one side of the picture , the people with Covid could stand, and on the other side of the photo, "The soon to get Covid" people could stand---- That was our daughter's suggestion--LOL--

It is Day #5--or is it Day#6 post Covid now-- This must be a variant--seems it is not as bad as a bad cold---but--from now on, I shall DOUBLE MASK----  everywhere I go---  It seems to be very transmissible--  maybe yu all should wear yer mask while reading this-  (Now I tell yu eh?)--  Lord love a duck! --One never nows what will happen next--

Be strong----  double mask---   and I pray yu don't get this---  My kids treat me like I have the Plague--

  1. Lynda, I'm so sorry that you, Fred, your daughter and her girl all have Covid. I do think getting those shots help. Yes, I always say that Covid is still out there so treat everything the way we have been doing the past 2 years.

Will you be going ahead with the family photograph? I'd love to see how that goes.

Love and many hugs coming to you, Fred, family and your fur babies. xoxo

  4. Maybe the photographer cna take one pic of the COVID folks and another of everyone else and Photoshop you together. I got it a few weeks ago. I still have a cough and mucus in my head. Hope it goes away soon. Can you get the Paxlovid antiviral in Canada? Need to start it within 5 days of symptoms.you DD and GD don;t need it, but I would definitely suggest it for you and your DH.

  5. Oh Linda! Sooooooooo utterly sorry that you tested + for Covid. **SIGH** And your DD and granddaughter were + w/o symptoms. And HIMSELF!!! OMG **SIGH** Yes, absolutely, the BA.5 variant, the dominant variant right now, is very contagious. Thank goodness Himself is doing okay. Just unbelievable, isn’t it! I see someone already mentioned Paxlovid. Might be worth a try?????

Sending healing vibes and a vat of chicken soup!

    Hugs

  7. Dear Lynda
So sorry you and Fred tested positive and have a cough. Daughter, granddaughter no symptoms is interesting.
I like your daughters comment about the family picture. Seems like you have to proceed with photo as you don't know when you will all have an opportunity to be together. Its been 2 yrs. since your daughter last made it up

    Whatever you decide....good luck.
    Hugs

  8. Lynda, I'm so sorry you and Himself have tested positive!! 😔 And your daughter and granddaughter!! After all this time. I'll be praying that your symptoms don't get any worse. I'm glad your children are there in case you should need them. The variant is still out there. I've read that we'll need another shot that will cover that strain...ugh! Your all in my prayers ❤️

  9. Amazing after all the precautions taken, such an easily transmissable variant for sure. I expect to travel to France next Sunday and most likely with all the contact with people I expect to get it.

  10. There is also that big weed called hogweed growing around Ontario. Maybe that also affected you? I would have thought all your kids would have been vaccinated So any that have it/get it would not get many symptons. And after 5 days your supposed to be ok per the government. Hope all goes well and you get the picture taken.

  11. Oh shoot, that Covid junk got you, was it from shopping, or going with your guests somewhere? Maybe your daughter got it from one airport. We still don’t go anywhere here in Texas, spreading like heck. My lungs can’t get that crap and do well! Hoping you all recover well, Kleenex in hand.

  12. Oh no! I have heard of so many people who are now testing positive to Covid. I'm so sorry! I hope your daughter will be able to go home when it's time and that you and himself feel better really soon!

  13. Oh Lynda like everyone else has said I am so sorry you, himself, your daughter and granddaughter all caught Covid. Glad none of you are that sick.

As far as the photo goes since you have all been together when all of you had it I would say they are going to get it soon or not get it at all. So go ahead with the photo but you might want to tell the person taking the picture that you have/getting over Covid. They might not want to do it which makes sense. Or you all will have to wear masks when you are getting your picture taken which would sure make any interesting picture for generations to come as to why you were all wearing masks.

Praying no one else gets it and you all get well ASAP!

  14. Yikes….sorry to hear that Covid finally found you and yours!! So glad it is a mild case for both you and Fred! Almost everyone that I know has gotten Covid in the past month; fortunately, no one has been really sick.
Hope that your family photos can happen as scheduled! ❤️ Eissa7
