I Luvs Ya!

The big and the little--Lopez and Beau---  Sometimes I think I must've been crazy to  adopt a dog this small-- other times, I just love to cuddle him--kinda nice! ---  It is a cold windy summer day here--60 F---and this is July! ----All the visitors are going down the highway for lunch---to a wee town, called Spanish. Apparently there is some little booth along the highway which has great poutine and ice cream. Son#3, the Policeman,  is taking them all--7 people I think!

Last night we had a delicious Prime Rib of Beef for dinner, which Himself did on our 2 burner BBQ-- He was told by Son#2 to not put the roast on the burner that was lit, but to put it beside it--  Himself cooked it all day at a low temp. and it was so good --then I made a Rhubarb pie for desert --a recipe from my younger sister.

I am trying to not go to a grocery store to-day--  I think I have been there everyday for the past week--Himself seems to thrive on all the kids being around--  so nice for me!-- He still refuses to wear his hearing aids ---a huge problem ---
You knew that Queen Elizabeth appeared in our kitchen yesterday ---  We have had so much fun with her!---  And to-morrow is my hair day--  I just have not had time to deal with "the hair"--and my hairdresser's hubby passed a couple weeks ago-- so have not been there--will be so happy to look better to-morrow--

Hugs-- stay strong-- eat healthy-- sing--be a bit crazy--I believe it all helps-

  1. What a wonderful family reunion for you all, and especially nice that it's good for Himself, and I'm sure that makes it a respite for you, too. LOVE The Queen in your kitchen!

Enjoy the rest of the visit, and especially "hair day". Hugs to your hairdresser for her loss.

  3. It's good that himself is enjoying the kids. I don't think my mom would have lasted 2 weeks without her hairdresser! Sounds like tomorrow will be a good day.

Great sounding food. Surprised Fred could do that meat. Great.
Enjoy hair day, not running to the store and being with all the kids.

  7. You know, I've never understood why people won't wear their hearing aids. Gosh, if I had a problem like that, you'd better believe I'd be wearing them. I certainly would not want to not be able to hear. It seems like it's as simple as putting on a pair of glasses if you can't see. And they're so expensive, too! I'm glad hubby is coming alive again, but I WAS hoping your daughter would get to see the man that you've been describing when he's not himself. One has to see it with their own eyes. 60? Gosh, that's cold for summer.

    1. I don't understand either why he refuses to wear the hearing aids----Yu know, Himself is really pretty good with people --Its when he is alone with me. he is very angry--I hear that is how the disease works-- Nice to see yu--Lynda

  8. It's so nice to have everyone there. Is the pilot there already - I thought he was son #2 and you mentioned son#2 taking people to lunch. Himself is being on his best behaviour - your daughter will never believe you about his issues. Love the picture of Beau and Lopez together! Enjoy your trip to the hairdresser.

Hope the family brings you and Himself some food.

  11. If I had to have hearing aids, I'd definitely wear them...so much better hearing the grands when they want to talk to him.
